PEARL’S LAD - Jockey reported the gelding resented kickback when trailing the field DODGIES WAY – Tightened for room shortly after the start and lost ground BRILLIANT MISTAKE - Blundered at the start and lost ground, resented the kickback WENSLEY ROAD – Laid in under pressure in the straight MISS LITERATI – Raced wide throughout FIND NEMO – Raced wide throughout Race 2: GJ GARDNER B’Mark 60 H’Cap 850m LUPO NERO – Slow to begin MASTER DENRHO – Jockey M Crawford was reprimanded for using the whip on 7 occasions prior to the 100m. FERRIGNO – The start was delayed when the gelding refused to load into the barriers, and was subsequently declared a late at 2.03 pm. The trainer was advised that a further barrier certificate would be required for the gelding prior to next start. Subsequent to the event all monies invested on the horse were ordered to be refunded with the following deductions applicable. 20 cents in the dollar on the face value of win bets20 cents in the dollar on the face value of place bets for the win16 cents in the dollar on the face value of 2nd place bets21 cents in the dollar on the face value of 3rd place bets GOOD LUCK CHARLIE – Jumped awkwardly and lost ground MAJOR SCOOP – Slow to begin HIDDEN SEQUEL – Wide throughout MAGIC PANTHER – Wide the majority of the race Race 3: THE SHED CO Maiden Plate 1170m LUCKY MACHU – Slow to begin, when leaving the 600m the gelding was tightened for room and lost ground ARENKHA – Blundered at the start and lost ground, raced wide PISTOL AND BOO – Slow into stride, resented the kickback HIGH RIDER – Raced wide throughout, bled both nostrils during the event, connections were advised that the gelding will be barred from racing for a period of 3 months and will be required to gallop 1000m in the presence of Stewards IT’S WHAT I DO – Resented the kickback throughout Race 4: COOLOOLA FOOD SERVICES B’Mark 65 H’Cap 1170m RAINBOW SPIRIT – From the 700m the gelding resented the kickback with trailing the field ZOOMING OVER YOU – Slow to begin and raced wide throughout MR METICULOUS – Began awkwardly and raced wide AL’S BRIEFS – Raced wide throughout Race 5: HARVEY NORMAN ELECTRICAL GYMPIE B’Mark 50 H’Cap 1470m Stewards opened an inquiry into the reasons MAGESTICAL MAIDEN blundered and dislodged J Hoopert near the 1000m. After taking evidence from all riders within the incident vicinity, Stewards adjourned the inquiry to a date to be fixed to allow jockey J Hoopert to give evidence when medically fit to do so. J Hoopert was transported to hospital by ambulance for treatment and observation. BIG BRITCHES – Slow to begin OUR ROCK O’REILLY – Fractious in the barriers, the gelding had to be restrained near the 1200m to avoid the heels of EMPRESS ZHAO, which shifted in when not fully clear Jockey S Shield, the rider of EMPRESS ZHAO, was reprimanded and advised to show greater care in future. JACARANDA PRINCE – Raced wide throughout PERFORATION – Jumped awkwardly and was slow to begin, raced wide in the early stages THIS IS LIVIN’ – Was checked and lost ground approaching the 1300m. Inconvenienced approaching the 1000m when gelding was restrained avoid the fallen rider, lost ground. ENVIRONMENTAL – Jockey G. Geran pleaded not guilty to a charge of careless riding under AR137(a) in that shortly after jumping approaching the 1300m he allowed his mount to shift in under aggressive riding when not sufficiently clear of THIS IS LIVIN’, which resulted in that runner having to be checked and lose ground. After hearing submissions on penalty, G Geran’s licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of 9 days, to commence at midnight, 21st July and to expire at midnight, 30th July.
