QUEENSLANDRACING INTEGRITY COMMISSION STEWARDS REPORT GYMPIE TURF CLUB – SATURDAY 9th March 2019 WEATHER – FINE TRACK RATING – SAND RAIL – TRUE OFFICIALS Chairman of Stewards – L HicksStewards – G Goold, B MooreJudge – P ChiltonVeterinarian – Dr P AgnewStarter – G Honeywell Race 1: WILBA WORKS Class B H’Cap 1470m Start delay slightly so that the Queensland Ambulance Service could attend to and on course patron. ADAYONDEK – was a late scratching at 9:38am on veterinary advise trainer B Loak advised that a vet certificate will be required prior to the mare’s next start. SLY GRIN – Jumped away awkwardly, had to be steadied when placed in restricted room approaching the 1300m AS YOU SAY – Fractious in the barrier, G Steele reported that her mount when trailing the field resented the kickback and did not travel comfortably for the remainder of the event. Post race vet examination failed to reveal any abnormalities BOLTIN’ DESIRE – Apprentice S Wilcock lost to use of her iron upon jumping, approaching the 1300m shifted in inconveniencing another runner. Apprentice S Wilcock was advised to exercise more care in similar situations HEIRSROC –Raced wide throughout Race 2: EARTHLAND GROUP Maiden Plate 850m UMBANI MAN – Was shifted in shortly after the start by another runner lost ground TIME FOR ACTION – Bucked shortly after the start which resulted in the runner on its inside being shifted in and losing ground. Trainer T Hong was advised that gelding would be required to trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards prior to its next start. I’M SASSY – Was slow to begin and lost ground EL NINO’S CHOICE – Resented the kickback from the other runners and raced greenly throughout Race 3: J MCMILLAN INVESTMENTS B’Mark 50 H’Cap 850m NEED FINANCE – Shifted out shortly after jumping making contact to the runners to its outside ROYAL EQUIANO – Hampered by another runner upon jumping. Had to be steadied from heels when approaching the 300m and lost ground when KARMA FORCE shifted in momentarily. Apprentice S Wilcock was reprimanded as a result of the incident.
