General:
Jockey A Chau was indisposed due to injury, riding changes as per Stewards Race Day Summary.
 
Race 1: NEXTRA GYMPIE Class B Handicap 1170m
 
PIPEMAJOR – Jumped awkwardly making contact with the runner to its outside
 
MISTA MAYBE – Hampered shortly after jumping
 
MAGESTICAL MAIDEN –Trainer B Gill was reprimanded under rule AR65 failure to produce thoroughbred ID card. Raced wide throughout
 
MOSTA CHARM – The mare underwent a veterinary examination after being late to arrive on course and was subsequently cleared to race. A pre-race sample was also taken. Reared as the start was affected and as a result lost ground.
 
ADAYONDEK – Approaching the 850m steadied when being crossed. App H Phillips the rider of WINDQUEST was reminded of her obligations when allowing her mount to shift. Post race vet examination revealed swelling in the mares offside fetlock, Trainer B Loakes was advised that the mare will require and Vet clearance prior to its next start.
 
MISS LITERATI – Blundered upon jumping resulting in the Jockey C Eaton becoming momentarily unbalanced and losing ground
 
Race 2: BRAD JOHNS PLUMBING B’Mark 65 Handicap 1030m
 
PERSISTENT SHADOW – Slow to begin
 
JOMAR’S ELEMENT – Was inconvenienced approaching the 850m and had to be steadied from heels
 
MASTER DENRHO – Stewards questioned trainer K Hill in regards to geldings performance, the trainer advised that she was disappointed and believes that the gelding may not have handled todays heavy going despite the efforts of its rider. A post race veterinary examination of the gelding failed to reveal any significant abnormalities. Trainer K Hill was advised that if anything comes to light in the coming days to advise the Stewards.
 
SPUR WITH EASE – Fractious in the barriers
 
 
Race 3: NATIONAL JOCKEY’S TRUST B’Mark 55 H’Cap 850m
 
CANID – Jumped away awkwardly
 
CIMARRON KID – Resented the kickback when trailing the field.
 
BRILLIANT MISTAKE – Was slow to begin and raced with throughout
 
MARGOT – Hampered by another shortly after jumping
 
UPPEMBAK – Jumped away awkwardly making contact with the runner to its inside and raced wide throughout.
 
 
Race 4: KEN CAVANOUGH MEMORIAL QTIS Maiden Plate 850m
 
MRS BOUQUET was scratched on Vets advice after arriving to course. The trainer advised that in his opinion that the mare did not handle the long travel to todays event. Trainer B Johnson was advised that a vet clearance will be required PTNS
 
The start of the race was delayed when SEVENTY BELOW dislodged its rider in the way to the barriers and traveling for some distance. The gelding was declared a late scratching by way of the Stewards at 3:44pm. All monies invested on the gelding were ordered to be refunded with the following deductions applicable.

The start was further delayed when GOLD BRAIDES became very fractious when being loaded into the barriers reared and dislodged its rider M COX and as a result received injury to her knee and was unable to fulfil her riding engagement. The Filly was declared a late scratching by way of the Stewards at 3:48pmAll monies invested on the filly were ordered to be refunded with the following deductions applicable.

Connections were advised that the filly will require a further barrier certificate prior to its next race start.
 
The start was again delayed when HARLEIGH had become fractious and braking through the barriers before travelling for some distance and being declared a late scratching by order of the Stewards at 3:53pm All monies invested on the mare were ordered to be refunded with the following deductions applicable.

Race 5: ROB MORRISON CABINET MAKING 100 CLUB CUP B’Mark 55 H’Cap 1470m
 
HEIRSROC – Shifted out to avoid heels approaching the 1200m making contact with runner to its outside LAYLA’S LAD which was shifted wider inconveniencing the runner to its outside.
 
CHOPPA – Fractious in the barrier, blundered upon jumping and lost ground.
 
ELUSIVE ELEMENT –Slow to begin, shifted wider approaching the 1200m when the runners to its inside shifted abruptly. Raced wide throughout
 
LAYLA’S LAD –When shifted wider approaching the first turn the gelding resented the kick back when trailing the field, jockey K Gate elected to shift her mount wider on the track. Jockey K Gates reported that the gelding after receiving the bump early and today’s heavy track did not respond to her riding when asked.
