MR NODDY – Was fractious in the barriers and reared as the start was affected and lost ground. Trainer G Richardson was advised that a warning would be placed on the geldings barrier manners. KITTY KAT’S KITTEN – Began awkwardly. Rider H Phillips reported that the mare resented the kickback when trailing the field. BOO – Raced wide throughout. RAINING RICHES – Raced wide throughout. DYNAMIC JEWEL – Raced wide throughout. Race 2: SUCCULENT AUSTRALIAN BEEF B’MARK 65 H’CAP 1030 metres KEEP ON ROCKING – Blundered on jumping. Trainer C Vick advised that in light of today’s poor performance the gelding will now be retired from racing. NINE CIGARS – Slow to begin. Rider M Gray reported that the gelding resented the kickback when trailing the field. VICEMAN – Laid in under pressure in the home straight. MASTER DENRHO – Raced wide throughout. MAGIC PANTHER – Raced wide throughout. When weakening in the home straight, laid in under pressure. Race 3: NAB MORE THAN MONEY QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1170 metres MARCHEKY BOY – Near the 900m was obliged to race in restricted room to the inside of ALL IN SYNC (H Phillips) which shifted in, Jockey H Phillips was reprimanded under AR131(a) for shifting in when insufficiently clear. A short distance later was again placed in restricted room, became awkward and was checked when ALL IN SYNC was taken in by REBEL CAUSE (App J Molloy) which shifted in when insufficiently clear. Apprentice J Molloy was reprimanded under AR131(a) for shifting in when insufficiently clear. SHE’S WHITTIE – Became fractious in the barriers and reared. Began awkwardly. Resented the kickback when trailing the field. A post-race veterinary examination identified the mare to be lame behind. Trainer R Davidson was notified that he will be required to provide a Veterinary Clearance prior to the horse racing or trialing again. PRINCE OF DIAMONDS – Resented the kickback when trailing the field. BARON SEMEDI – Shortly after jumping buffeted between runners. Approaching the 850m steadied when placed in restricted room. DAULAT MACHTIGKUDA – Raced wide throughout. ZIMBOOMBAH – Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout. Race 4: NOLAN PRIVATE SELECTION B’MARK 50 H’CAP 1170 metres RISALDAR declared a late scratching at 3:20pm by order of the Stewards acting on Veterinary advice. All monies invested on were RISALDAR were ordered to be refunded. Deductions applicable to bets placed on winner and placegetters prior to time:10 cents in the dollar for the win FEARLESS QUEEN10 cents in the dollar for the place of winner FEARLESS QUEEN CALDWELL – Passing the winning post on the first occasion was steadied when awkwardly placed at the heels of DER SIEGER (App J Molloy) which shifted in. Apprentice J Molloy was reprimanded under AR131(a) for shifting in when not clear to do so. Performed below market expectations, App L Dillion advised that after being inconvenienced near the 1200m the gelding resented the kickback and failed to respond to her riding. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding did not identify any abnormal findings. SOLID ASSET – Rounding the home turn was checked when TERRE DI BACCIO (B Newport) shifted in. Jockey B Newport pleaded guilty to a charge to careless riding under the provisions of AR131(a) in that he permitted his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of SOLID ASSET. Jockey B Newport licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of 10 days to commence midnight 28 August 2021 and expire midnight 7 September 2021. MY CERTAIN – Raced wide throughout. OPEN ROAD – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Hung out rounding the first turn. Raced wide throughout. NICHOLAS ADAM – Slow to begin. KARTANUP – Raced wide throughout. TRUE TALLY – Raced wide throughout. Weakened from the 400m. Race 5: NOLAN’S GYMPIE MUSTER CUP OPEN H’CAP 1470 metres CROCKETT – Began awkwardly. SHINNECOCK – Raced wide throughout. Whilst weaking rounding the home turn laid out. Performed below market expectation, App L Dillion reported that it was her intention to race in a forward position however from the wide barrier the gelding was unable to muster speed to cross to the lead and she was caught three wide throughout. Trainer L Gough when questioned stated that the gelding worked hard early and believed racing wide had a detrimental effect on the geldings finishing efforts. A post-race veterinary examination did not identify any abnormal findings. JOCHBERG – Resented the kickback when trailing the field. DEVILLAIN – Laid out under pressure rounding the home turn. MINOAN SPIRIT - Resented the kickback when trailing the field.
