On returning to scale a protest was lodged by Ms. E Lang, rider of second placegetter RISING SPIRIT, against first past the post RASHEED (Ms. K Gates) alleging interference near the 150m. After viewing the patrol footage and hearing submissions from both parties, Stewards found that at a point near the 150m RASHEED shifted out marginally however could not be comfortably satisfied that RISING SPIRIT had been disadvantaged at that point and therefore dismissed the protest and correct weight declared on the semaphored placings.
