GENERAL
Stewards permitted the following overweights:
Race 3: M Powell +1kg
 
Race 1 - 1:30PM WELCOME GLEN BOSS QTIS Maiden Plate (850 METRES)
MARMION – Raced wide throughout the event.
MUSSEL LINES – Slow to begin.
MEMUMSAWITCH – Slow to begin and raced ungenerously when the mare resented the sand kickback.
MISS BONTASTIC – Declared a late scratching at 1.22pm on Vets advice after dislodging Jockey K Gates when moving on to the track from the mounting yard. Galloped a fair distance before being caught.
Stewards ordered that all bets on MISS BONTASTIC must be refunded with the following deductions on all successful bets of 13c the win and 12c the place.
SPRESSI – Jumped awkwardly and lost ground.
THE STORM – Raced wide throughout the event.

Race 2 - 2:10PM GREAT VALUE TO JOIN 100 CLUB RATINGS BAND 0 - 55 Handicap (1030 METRES)
FLICK – Had to be steadied approaching the 900m when GOSSIAUX shifted out whilst NINE CIGARS and CITY CHICK were racing on the mares outside.
GOSSIAUX –When questioned by Stewards about the need for FLICK to be steadied by apprentice jockey S Willis approaching the 950m rider of GOSSIAUX jockey M Butler advised that after the gelding had jumped in towards the rail at the start it was necessary to shift out slightly at this point to avoid the running rail resulting in FLICK being crowded for room between GOSSIAUX and NINE CIGARS ridden by jockey H Richardson which was racing to the inside CITY CHICK ridden by jockey K Gates. After taking evidence from all riders involved and viewing the available patrol footage Stewards took no further action.
 
Race 3 - 2:55PM CELEBRATING 20 YEARS OF 100 CLUB Class B Handicap (1170 METRES)
CLEAR THE BILL – Raced wide until the 450m.
YES NO MAYBE SO – Raced wide.     
READY TO THUNDER –As no other jockeys were available stewards allowed jockey M Powell to ride the gelding 1kg over. Raced ungenerously early while resenting the sand kickback.
 
Race 4 - 3:35PM 2023 BATTLE OF THE BUSH GYMPIE QUALIFIER OPEN Plate (1170 METRES)
COAT OF ARMS – Raced wide throughout.
TA CHANSON – Raced wide
 
Race 5 - 4:15PM SCUBA'S CAR & DOG WASH 100 CLUB CUP BENCHMARK 55 Handicap (1470 METRES)
NORTHERN WOODS (NZ) – Bumped on jumping by COMETTI which jumped inwards.
FEND OFF (NZ) – Slow to begin and lost ground. Raced wide in the early stages.
COMETTI (NZ) – Jumped awkwardly and bumped NORTHERN WOODS.
MONT ROYAL – Fractious in the barriers. Slow to begin. Jockey M Kennedy reported that in her opinion the gelding failed to appreciate todays sand racing surface.
