GENERAL
Riders Agent, Mr Joshua Jones pleaded guilty and was charged pursuant to LR47(9) in which he did cause Jockey M Powell to be dual engaged in Race 5 at today`s meeting. Mr Jones received a reprimand for the incident.
 
Stewards approved the following overweight allowances at today’s meeting- 
Race 3 - ICONIC MUSIC - Ms Tamara Noble (a3/55kg) +1kg (55kg)
Race 5 –BONNIE AND CLYDE (NZ) –Matthew Powell +1kg (56kg)
 
Race 1:WELCOME LISA CURRY BENCHMARK 45 HANDICAP 1030 Metres
 
MASTER DRUMER – When asked to comment on the performance of the gelding, Apprentice Jockey B Moffat stated that MASTER DRUMER jumped only fairly from the wide barrier and when trying to progress forward, the gelding was not travelling as well as he would have liked. Approaching the 850m, Apprentice Moffat decided to steady and shift in, to a position behind the leaders. Apprentice Moffat stated that in his opinion the decision to settle behind the leaders proved detrimental to the gelding`s performance as MASTER DRUMER resented the sand kickback from today`s racing surface.
 
BARTALUMBA – Began awkwardly.
 
DOUBLE COCO – Slow to begin.
 
MUSSEL LINE – Began awkwardly.
 
RASHEED – Raced wide throughout.
 
FORT MYER – Raced wide throughout.
 
CONAIR –Raced wide throughout. As there were no other riders available, Apprentice Jockey T Noble was granted permission to only claim 1kg of the 1.5kg allowance she was required to claim on CONAIR. Apprentice Noble was reprimanded pursuant to AR143(14)(a) for failing to claim her full allowance.

Race 2:TOPSY BATH MEMORIAL BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 850 Metres
 
LOGAN'S BLADE – Jumped out at the start and bumped IGBO (Apprentice G Semmens). LOGAN'S BLADE (M Butler) became momentarily unbalanced and shifted in causing ETHELDA (K Gates) to steady from heels.
 
FREEDOM AVENUE – Bumped on jumping.
 
VICEMAN – Began awkwardly.
 
IGBO – Bumped shortly after the start. Shifted wider on the track entering the home straight.
 
RISING SPIRIT – Began awkwardly and bumped FREEDOM AVENUE. Raced wide throughout.
 
ETHELDA – Steadied from heels and lost ground shortly after the start when LOGAN'S BLADE became unbalanced and shifted in after bumping with IGBO. Raced wide throughout.
 
MADDISON'S MISSILE – Slow to muster speed from the barriers.
 
ZENIA – Raced wide throughout.

Race 3: LADIES DAY QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 3-Y-O & Up. 1170 Metres
 
HEWRECKED'EM – Began awkwardly.
KHANT QUIT (NZ)–When asked to comment on the geldings performance, Jockey T Banks reported that after being slow to begin, KHANT QUIT (NZ) resented the sand kickback from today`s racing surface.
SHADES OF LOUVRE – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
DAY TIME MARTINIS – Raced wide in the early and middle stages. Jockey A Sewell pleaded guilty to a charge pursuant to AR131(b) for failing to ride his horse out to the end of the race. Jockey Sewell failed to ride his horse out over the concluding stages and in the opinion of Stewards, although the mare finished second, DAY TIME MARTINIS went to the line without being fully tested and because of Jockey Sewell`s actions allowed third place getter ROAR HIDE to reduce the margin to a neck. Jockey A Sewell was issued a $200 fine.
 
KILLER REFLECTION – Reared as the start was affected. Began awkwardly and was bumpedby THE WHITE MOUSE and lost ground. Raced wide throughout.
 
SHOOT THE BOSS – A post-race Veterinary examination of the mare identified minor lacerations to the off hind fetlock.
 
THE WHITE MOUSE – Jumped inwards at the start and bumped KILLER REFLECTION. Raced wide throughout.
 
ICONIC MUSIC – Stood flat footed at the start and lost ground. Trainer K O'Neill advised she would be trialling changing the fillies gear from blinkers to winkers. Stewards advised Trainer K O'Neill a warning would be placed on ICONIC MUSIC for her barrier manners. As there were no other riders available to ride the filly at Declaration of Jockey Time, Stewards approved a request from Trainer K O'Neill for Apprentice T Noble to ride ICONIC MUSIC at 55kg (+1.0kg).          
 
Race 4: GYMPIE TURF CLUB SPRING CUP BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 1170 Metres    
 
HURRICANE HALL – Raced wide throughout.
 
LITERMONT – Raced wide throughout. As Jockey G Walters was to be overweight, and there was no suitable riders to ride LITERMONT, Stewards permitted Jockey G Walters to ride the mare 0.5kg over at (56kg). Jockey G Walters pleaded guilty to a charge pursuant to AR190(3) for accepting a ride when overweight and was fined $200.
 
BONNIE AND CLYDE (NZ) – Stewards approved a request from Trainer A Cameron, which was declared before Jockey Declaration time, for Jockey M Powell to ride the mare at 56kg (+1kg).
 
TRUE TALLY – Slow to begin.
 
LIPSTICK LIES – Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout.

Race 5: WINDRUSH AMAMOOR HOMESTEAD BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1470 Metres
 
BOOM GATE – Blundered shortly after the start and lost ground. Shifted wider on the track at the 1000m and raced wide for the remainder of the event.
 
MUWARRAD – Slow to begin and lost ground. Slow to muster speed in the early stages. Shifted wider on the track approaching the 600m and raced wide for the remainder of the event.
 
MASTER RED - Shifted wider on the track approaching the 800m and raced wide for the remainder of the event.
 
THE BRUMBY – Raced wide in the early and middle stages.
 
CANNY BOY – Raced wide in the early and middle stages. Laid in passing the 200m before being corrected be its rider. As Jockey T Banks was to be overweight, he was replaced by Jockey H Phillips as the rider of the gelding. Jockey T Banks pleaded guilty to a charge pursuant to AR190(3) for accepting a ride when overweight and was fined $200.
