Noble recent return to racing, the circumstances of this matter and her record in relation to this rule. Race 1: AJT LEGAL CONVEYANCING BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 850M Prior to correct weight, trainer T. Hayden along with Stewards, viewed the official patrol film to establish if BABU KING which took no competitive part in the race, was afforded a fair start. Noble was reminded of her obligations to ensure she rides her mounts out fully to the end of the race.AMPHAWA – Tightened for room at the start between CALICO COUNTY and IGBO which began awkwardly and shifted in. BABU KING – Blundered shortly after the start resulting in jockey M. Butler becoming unbalanced and losing the use of both stirrup irons, resulting in the gelding taking no competitive part in the race. On pulling up near the 800m, jockey M. Butler was dislodged. M. Butler was attended to by QAS officers and treated for lacerations to the left elbow and was subsequently stood down from his remaining riding engagements. Stewards advised M. Butler that he would require a medical clearance before riding again. IGBO – Raced wide throughout. JAIN – Raced wide throughout.RASHEED – Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout. Race 2: AJT LEGAL WILLS & ESTATES CLASS B HANDICAP 1030M ON THE TARGET – As Jockey M. Butler was injured, Stewards permitted C. Meehan as the replacement rider. Slow to begin. When asked to comment on the performance, jockey C. Meehan stated that after being slowly away, he was obliged to pressure his mount more than he would have liked to obtain a forward position and felt the gelding was vulnerable in running. He added that gelding wanted to hang out during the race and was disappointing in its finishing effort. PAPER COWBOY – Raced wide throughout.THE BELL JAR - Stewards permitted apprentice B. Moffat to ride the filly only claiming 0.5kg of his 2kg allowance. Apprentice B. Moffat was fined $100 pursuant to AR143(14)(a) for failing to claim his full allowance.MIKKIMOTORISED – Stewards permitted apprentice T. Noble to ride the gelding 1.5kg over the declared weight when there was no other rider available. Raced wide throughout. Olsen was advised that a warning would be placed on the racing manners of the gelding. ROSE ALICE – When asked to comment on the performance, jockey C. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any obvious abnormalities.BEATLEMANIA – Slow into stride and lost ground. OPAQUELY – Hung in under pressure in the home straight.Race 3: AJT LEGAL PROPERTY LAW QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1170M Prior to correct weight, Stewards considered an objection lodged by Apprentice T. Noble, the rider of the second placed ALL ABOUT LEWIS against COTTO (Apprentice J. Busuttin) being declared the winner, alleging interference over the final 100m. Stewards after hearing evidence from the relevant parties and viewing the stewards patrol footage, found that near the 50m Apprentice T. Noble steadied her mount and shifted out when racing to the inside of COTTO. Stewards when considering all the evidence, could not on the available patrol footage establish if ALL ABOUT LEWIS had established a run to the inside of COTTO prior to a shift from that runner at the point of the alleged interference, and therefore dismissed the protest and declared correct weight on the judge’s placings. At a subsequent inquiry, Apprentice J. Busuttin was reprimanded for careless riding for failing to straighten her mount when it shifted ground in the home straight. ALL ABOUT LEWIS – Steadied from heels near the 50m. ADVERTISE – Raced wide throughout.COTTO – Stood flat footed and lost ground. Trainer T. Hamblin to ride the gelding 1.5kg over the allotted weight. Raced wide in the early stages. BLESSED DAY – Raced wide throughout.SHEZABLAST – Raced wide throughout. RIP UP RUBY – When questioned regarding the tactics adopted and the performance, Apprentice L. Martyn stated her instructions were to be forward, however the filly was having her first start on a sand surface and lost its footing on jumping away. She added that she urged her mount forward in the early stages, but it did not respond and as a result held a position at the rear of the field. She further added that when she shifted wider on the track from the 800m, RIP UP RUBY appreciated the firmer going and responded to her riding and ran on strongly from the home turn. Stewards noted the explanation. WIDGEE LACE – Raced wide throughout. When asked to comment on the performance, jockey C. Taylor stated the filly raced greenly and resented the kick back from the track. He added that his mount weakened from the 400m and would derive benefit from the run.
