Race 1: BURDEKIN VETINARY SERVICES QTIS Maiden Plate 1460m
 
Frankaz - Slow into stride.
 
Whistle – Was held up momentarily passing the 300m and was unable to improve at that stage.
 
Huski Rose - Slow into stride. Tailed out.
 
Miss Mildred- Hung out passing the 300m and commenced to lose ground.
 
 
Race 2: STAR LIQOUR BENCHMARK 50 Handicap 1460m
 
Collombatti - Slow into stride. Raced three wide throughout.
 
Anselmo - Steadied off heels passing the 300m.
 
From This Moment - Commenced to over-race for a short period after passing the crossing at the 1300m,
 
Rebel Lake - Shifted out to improve making the home turn, resulting in ANSELMOhaving to be momentarily steadied off heels and race wider on the track.
 
Getout Of My Neigh - Slow into stride.
 
 
Race 3: LYSAGHT BENCHMARK 55 Handicap 1180m
 
Harvesta – Raced wide for the majority.
 
Supreme Prince – Shortly after the start, was taken wide on the track byANTIQUE LACEwhich shifted out.
 
Old School – Was checked off heels shortly after the start when ANTIQUE LACEshifted out onto SUPREME PRINCE. Checked at the 500m by DUBAI EAGLE which shifted in.
 
Rugged Roy – Slow to begin and then mustered speed along the rails to lead.
 
Dubai Eagle – An inquiry was opened into the reason for Jockey G KLIESE (OLD SCHOOL)having to check his mount when crowded by DUBAI EAGLE at the 500 metres.
After taking evidence from Jockey P CULLEN (DUBAI EAGLE) and Apprentice J DOOLAN (ZAPLUCK), it was established that DUBAI EAGLEhad initially raced in restricted room to the inside of ZAPLUCK approaching the 500m, however after being cleared by that runner, Dubai Eagle then proceeded to shift in marginally, tightening OLD SCHOOL.
Jockey P CULLEN (DUBAI EAGLE)was reprimanded for allowing his mount to shift in at that point AR 131 (a).
 
Don’t Whisper – Raced wide for the majority.
 
Antique Lace – Raced wide for the majority.
 
Koscina – An enquiry will be held at a time and date to be fixed in relation to the reason for Koscina (Apprentice E Molloy) having to check making the home turn when racing on the rails and to the inside of Zaplock (Apprentice J Doolan).
 
 
Race 4: 2023 BATTLE OF THE BUSH HOME HILL QUALIFIER OPEN Plate 1180m
 
Bold Kingston – Shifted out marginally making the home turn when leading enabling another runner to obtain a run to the inside.
 
Tempo – Jumped awkwardly.
 
 
Race 5: NUTRIEN AG SOLUTIONS Class B Handicap 1000m
 
Private Sector - Jumped slowly then refused to race tractably until the 500m point. Trainer T CLIVE has advised that a warning was issued regarding the horses racing manners and he undertook to restrict the horse to races at non-TAB venues in the near future. Mr Clive advised that he would make some gear changes prior to the geldings next race start.
 
Hypothesize - Slow to begin.Raced wide in the early stages.
 
Target The Stars - Raced three wide the majority.
 
Miss Elley - Fractious after moving onto the track and struck the running rail near the winning post.MISS ELLEYwas examined by the club veterinary surgeon and passed fit to start. A warning was issued to the connections.
 
Race 6: CARLTON & UNITED BREWERIES BURDEKIN CUP BENCHMARK 70 Handicap 1830M
 
Ghosted – Raced wide for the majority.
 
Keighley Sun – Raced wide for the majority.
