Race 1: CAMPBELL’S JEWELLERY QTIS BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 1460M
 
SEBROSSA- Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority.
 
MISHANI REBEL- Raced wide during the middle stages.
 
COLLOMBATTI- When asked to comment on the gelding’s performance, jockey W D’Avila stated that COLLOMBATTI was racing well up to the 600 metres, however, when asked to improve, failed to respond to his riding. He added that the gelding tended to lay in over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
 
HIGHER LOVE- Prior to the race the gelding was examined by the veterinarian after bumping its head in the tie up stalls and was cleared to start.
 
 
Race 2: EYE CARE PLUS AYR CLASS B HANDICAP 1180M
 
COOL HARRY - Shifted in on jumping bumping DEORA. Raced ungenerously in the early stages.
 
DEORA – Bumped on jumping.
 
BURNE JONES – Slow into stride.
 
MISSION HOUSE- Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
TARGET THE STARS – Raced three wide with cover throughout.
KOSCINA – Trainer J Manzelmann was advised a warning would be placed on the gelding’s pre-race manners.
 
Race 3: THE Q-STREET COLLECTIVE OPEN HANDICAP 1180M
 
ASHTON BLAIR – Shifted out on jumping bumping TEMPO.
 
TEMPO – Bumped shortly after the start.
 
DAWN STRIKE – Raced wide throughout.
 
HIT SNOOZE- Raced in restricted room approaching the finishing line.
 
CABALO ESCURO – Jockey C Lennon was reprimanded pursuant to AR131(a) for allowing his mount to shift in at the 50 metres, causing HIT SNOOZE to race in restricted room.
 
 
Race 4: L’SHU ON QUEEN MAIDEN PLATE 1000M

HYDERBAD - Restrained at the start to obtain a rearward position closer to the rails. When asked to comment on the gelding’s performance, jockey C Lennon reported that HYDERABAD felt uncomfortable in his stride in the early stages, then failed to travel comfortably during the remainder of the event. The explanation from jockey Lennon was noted by Stewards.
 
RAZZO- Jumped awkwardly.
 
SUPERIOR CHARM – Hung out rounding the home turn.
 
 
Race 5: NUTRIEN AG SOLUTIONS BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1000M
 
NEWITT- Slow into stride. Raced wide throughout.
 
TACTICAL ILLUSION- Began awkwardly. Approaching the winning post, shifted out abruptly to avoid of heels of MIDAS STAR.
 
SARANDOS- Held up for clear running rounding the home turn.
 
ZAPLUCK- Raced wide throughout.
 
 
Race 6: BURDEKIN RACE CLUB BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1830M
 
REBEL LAKE- Began awkwardly.
 
MEDAL- Raced wide in the early stages. Inconvenienced on entering the home straight when UNDOUBTED shifted out.
 
SARNIA- Contacted the rail on several occasions between the 700 metres and 600 metres.
UNDOUBTED – Laid out rounding the home turn. Jockey D Smith was reprimanded pursuant to AR131(a) for allowing his mount to shift out rounding the home turn.
 
 
LINE OF KINGS- As jockey W D’Avila was unable to ride he was replaced by apprentice R Wilson as no other senior riders were available.
