SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT
28th of October – Race 1 – TOP SHELF TRAINING RATINGS BAND 0-55 HANDICAP 1300M
Trainer M. Adornetto advised stewards that on returning to their stables, FUDGINING was found to have minor lacerations on it’s offside hind leg which would be continued to be monitored.
GENERAL
Stewards permitted the following overweights –
Race 5: S. Sheargold - +1kg
Race 1: HOPE YA JOKIN BENCHMARK 45 HANDICAP 1000M
The start of this event was delayed approximately 3mins owing to QAS personnel attending to a stable hand.
MISS DAURIAN – Raced wide without cover for the majority.
AIR FORCE ACE – Over raced during the middle stages of the event.
SHEEZ MARVELLOUS – Began awkwardly and commenced to over race early.
SALIKA DIVA – Raced wide for the majority.
Race 2: BILL (CODY) PRIZEMAN MEMORIAL QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1180M
MOHS SCALE – Bumped with POLARMORE PRINCESS on jumping away.
RISINIG PROPHET – Raced wide throughout.
PRECISE FLAME – Raced wide with cover for the majority.
CHAMPAGNE TILLY – Raced wide for the majority.
MISS DE BOOM – Approaching the winning post, Jockey N. Summers dropped her whip.
POLARMORE PRINCESS – Bumped with MOH’S SCALE on jumping away.
TYCOON GRACE – Raced in restricted room shortly after the start.
HUGHIE VUITTON – Slow to begin. Held up for clear running rounding the home turn. Approaching the winning post, momentarily shied away from a dropped whip.
Race 3: RUSS REGUSON MEMORIAL BENCHAMARK 55 HANDICAP 1180M
PRIVATE CHEETAH – In the vicinity of the 350m, momentarily contacted the inside running rail.
AIDENABET – Hung in severely throughout. Approaching the 800m, shifted in, resulting in THIS GIRL’S READY having to be restrained when awkwardly placed on heels. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities. Trainer Josh Manzelmann was advised that a warning had been placed on the gelding regarding its racing manners.
FLUTTERING – Slow into stride.
MALVAGIO – Slow to begin.
SUPREME PRINCE – Slow to begin.
THIS GIRLS READY – Approaching the 800m, became awkwardly placed on the heels of AIDENABET, who was hanging in, and as a result was obliged to be steadied and lost ground. Raced wide for the majority.
Race 4: TRUENORTH EQUIPMENT HIRE RATINGS BAND 0-50 HANDICAP 1460M
TAORMINA RHYTHM – When questioned regarding the tactics adopted in today’s event, in particular the decision to allow TAORMINA RHYTHM to take up a forward position early, jockey N. Nelson stated that TAORMINA RHYTHM over raced early and failed to settle and find cover. She further added that the gelding is better suited to a shorter distance. Stewards noted the explanation and reminded jockey N. Nelson of her obligations pursuant to AR 129(2) in that she must ensure that as the rider of TAORMINA RYHTHM, her mount is given the full opportunity to obtain the best possible place in the field.
WHISKEY ROW – In the vicinity of the 400m, had to be steadied momentarily when improving onto the heels of TAORMINA RHYTHM who was weakening.
GULF OF ODESSA – Over raced during the middle stages of the event. Approaching the 100m became awkwardly placed on the heels of BLEND, who laid in under pressure and as a result was obliged to alter course to the outside of that runner.
THE ABYSS – Raced wide without cover for the majority.
BLEND – Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages.
Race 5: COUNTRY CUPS CHALLENGE QUALIFIER/HOME HILL CUP OPEN HANDICAP 1460M
LOVE ON SUNDAY – Slow to begin.
SCHAPPOSE – In the vicinity of the 1200m was obliged to ease momentarily, when awkwardly placed on the heels of FOUR MILE LANE who shifted in under riding when insufficiently clear. Apprentice G. Semmens was reprimanded pursuant AR131(a) for allowing her mount to shift ground when insufficiently clear.
HIGHER LOVE – Approaching the 200m, shifted out abruptly when struck with the whip. Shifted out under riding and bumped with LOVE ON SUNDAY on a number of occasions. Apprentice R. Wilson was reminded of her obligations pursuant to AR131(a) to keep her mount straight in similar circumstances in future.
STARHATTAN – In the vicinity of the 400m, improved onto heels and thereafter was held up until the 300m and as a result, elected to shift to the outside to gain clear running.
GRAND DE LAGO – Raced wide without cover over the middle stages of the event.
CAPITAL GIRL – Slow to begin.
FOUR MILE LANE – In the vicinity of the 1200m, shifted in under riding, resulting in SCHAPPOSE having to ease off heels.
Race 6: JUSTIN SCOTT MEMORIAL BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 1830M
MEDAL – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
EXALTED CROWN – Approaching the crossing, became momentarily unbalanced for a number of strides.
LETS TORQUE A DEEL – Raced wide with cover for the majority. Laid out under pressure in the straight.
RECONDITE – Slow to begin.
KEIGHLEY SUN – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination behind the barrier after making contact with the mounting yard gate and passed fit to race.
LORD OF PENNO – Raced wide without cover for the majority.
MUMBO BOWLER – A post-race veterinary examination revealed swelling above the off foreleg. Trainer T. Rowe was advised that a veterinary clearance would be required prior to resuming.
