There was a delay to the start of race one waiting for the ambulance officers to arrive on course.
Race 1: BARCALDINE CLEANING SERV, O’BRIENS GARAGE, ILFRACOMBE PRODUCE MAIDEN PLATE 1000 metres
INDENIAL – Travelled wide for much of the race.
MISTRESS OF MONEY – Reared as the gates opened causing the mare to be slow away.
SERRATALLI – Slow into stride. Jockey D. Rewald was reprimanded under AR132(5) for his use of the whip.
GOODY GOODY – Eased for a stride nearing the 600m.
UNLEISHA – A late scratching at 1:00pm due to no suitable jockey being available.
Race 2: RINGROSE BUTTON CHARTERED ACCOUNTANTS, PRO TYRESS CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1000 metres
PARA PARK – Jumped inwards contacting SPICE TRADER.
SPICE TRADER – Contacted at the start and resented the kickback so obliged to be taken wide on the track.
ASBURY PARK – Over raced between the 800m & 500m and eased off heels at the 300m then laid in over the concluding stages.
CHEEKY CHOPS – Slow into the stride.
Race 3: CENTRAL WEST RURAL & MOORE CIVIL PLANT HIRE BM 60 HANDICAP 1000 metres
FLASH FIBIAN – Fractious prior to the start.
REWARD THE MAID – Travelled wide for much of the race, lay in over the concluding stages and was eased off heels close to the line as runners either side shifted under pressure.
GRANOLA STATE – B. Richardson was the rider of the gelding and raced wide for much of the race.
SAME OLD STORY – Was a late scratching at 1:00pm as no suitable jockey was available.
Race 4: BURRUMBUTTOCK HAY RUNNERS BM 60 HANDICAP 1000 metres
BURDEN – Taken wider on the track shortly after the start to avoid the dusty conditions.
THE INFLAMER – Showed no early pace.
KALMAR – Awkward and slow to begin.
ALGEROBA – C. Rogers was the rider of the gelding.
Race 5: RAYNERS CRANE HIRE CLASS B HANDICAP 1200 metres
NITT WHITT & RECONIS bumped on jumping.
RECONIS –Slow into stride and travelled wide for much of the race.
Race 6: GEORGE BOURNE & ASSOCIATES BM 55 HANDICAP 1400 metres
There was a lengthy delay to the start of race six with stewards allowing time for jockey B. Richardson to make the allotted weight safely and giving ambulance officers time to attend a patron on course.
SIZZLESUN – Slow to begin, laid in down the home straight being corrected on several occasions.
AMADEO – Travelled wide for much of the race.
HOGES – Slow to begin and slow into stride and travelled wide to avoid the kickback.
ORDESA – Slow to begin and travelled wide for much of the race.
DO I HAVE TO – Jockey A. Ross was dislodged from the mare en-route to the barriers, was quickly remounted and fine to fulfil her riding engagements.
Race 7: DONALDSON FAMILY WILLOWIE CUP OPEN HANDICAP 1400 metres
I WANNA BE A JEEP – Over raced in the early stages.
FAIRY ME HOME – Slow to begin and travelled wide in the middle stages.
VAN WINKLE – Travelled wide for much of the race and was obliged to ease off heels approaching the 150m.
JARHEAD – Slow into stride.
HAZAR – Over raced in the early stages.
