Stewards, acting under the provisions of AR53(4), advised Mr Tidyman that RUNABOUT would not be permitted to start in any race for a period of three (3) months, and then only after a satisfactory gallop of at least 1000 metres in the presence of a Steward.GENERALAs App M Kai became indisposed due to illness on acceptance day Stewards permitted rider changes as per summary.Race 1: Hinchinbrook Shire Council QTIS Maiden Plate 1200 metres:1st – SILVER BOWS 2nd – STAR OF BETHLEHEM 3rd – CIDARIS 4th – MOLONGLE HEROEIGHT FIGURES which refused to load was a late withdrawal by order of Stewards at 1:10pm. Prior to the declaration of correct weight Stewards ordered that all monies wagered on EIGHT FIGURES be refunded in full and further that all successful wagers placed on the event prior to 1:10pm be subject to deductions of 5 cents win and 6 cents place in the dollar on the face value of the betting ticket. Prior to the declaration of correct weight Stewards ordered that all monies wagered on SHE CAN TWIST be refunded in full and further that all successful wagers placed on the event prior to 3:53pm be subject to deductions of 8 cents win and 8 cents place in the dollar on the face value of the betting ticket. Trainer Ms L Ashford was advised that the mare SHE CAN TWIST would be required to obtain one (1) barrier certificate prior to being permitted to race again.GARDEN CITY – Was caught wide without cover in the early and middle stages. App B Swaffer reported that the gelding was inclined to race very ungenerously throughout despite his best efforts. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed minor shin soreness and a small laceration to the inside of the gelding’s mouth. Nonetheless Trainer Mr G Hall was advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding’s racing manners which will be monitored at future starts.Race 6: XXXX Gold Open Handicap 1000 metres:1st – LADRETTO 2nd – SNITZEM & STARLISTIC (Dead Heat) 4th – BOOM SHA LAMCCONACHY which became fractious in the barriers lashing out with both hind legs was a late withdrawal on Veterinary advice at 4:29pm. Prior to the declaration of correct weight Stewards ordered that all monies wagered on MCCONACHY be refunded in full and further that all successful wagers placed on the event prior to 4:29pm be subject to deductions of 9 cents win and 10 cents place in the dollar on the face value of the betting ticket. A subsequent Veterinary examination revealed that the gelding had sustained lacerations to both hind legs and to the near side hip. Trainer Mr G Hall advised Stewards that it is his intention to spell the gelding.
