SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT
Trainer Mr R Tidyman contacted Stewards to report that the gelding RUNABOUT which competed at the meeting of the Mackay Turf Club on Thursday August 27th, 2015 had subsequently suffered a bleeding attack. Stewards, acting under the provisions of AR53(4), advised Mr Tidyman that RUNABOUT would not be permitted to start in any race for a period of three (3) months, and then only after a satisfactory gallop of at least 1000 metres in the presence of a Steward.

GENERAL
As App M Kai became indisposed due to illness on acceptance day Stewards permitted rider changes as per summary.

Race 1: Hinchinbrook Shire Council QTIS Maiden Plate 1200 metres:
1st – SILVER BOWS 2nd – STAR OF BETHLEHEM 3rd – CIDARIS 4th – MOLONGLE HERO

EIGHT FIGURES which refused to load was a late withdrawal by order of Stewards at 1:10pm. Prior to the declaration of correct weight Stewards ordered that all monies wagered on EIGHT FIGURES be refunded in full and further that all successful wagers placed on the event prior to 1:10pm be subject to deductions of 5 cents win and 6 cents place in the dollar on the face value of the betting ticket. Trainer Mr E Covell was advised that the gelding EIGHT FIGURES would be required to obtain one (1) barrier certificate prior to being permitted to race again.

ZEDAHEEL – Raced wide throughout.

STAR OF BETHLEHEM – Raced wide at the home turn.

Race 2: Davis Family Group/Mighty Helpful Mitre 10 Class B Handicap 1400 metres:
1st – MANDALONG PASS 2nd – MR WRECKER 3rd – ADIZERO 4th – GREAT PRETENDER

ADIZERO – Was slowly away. Bumped with another runner shortly after the start. Raced wide at the home turn.

GREAT PRETENDER – Was slowly away. Raced wide at the home turn.

WICKED THOUGHTS – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start.

SILVER STAR – Was caught wide without cover in the early and middle stages. Was inclined to lay in under pressure down the running.

MR WRECKER – Was inclined to hang out under pressure down the running.

Race 3: John White Crash Repairs/Devietti Holden Open Handicap 1400 metres:
1st – ADDICTION TO ROCK 2nd – AUGUSTE 3rd – RATTUS CONATUS 4th – CHATEAU DETTORI

LEXCEN – Was slowly into stride.

CARBINCONI – Was slowly into stride. Raced wide at the home turn.

SECRET STEALTH – Was slowly into stride. App B Swaffer reported that the gelding was inclined to race ungenerously in the early stages. Raced wide at the home turn.

MISHANI PERSUADER – Raced wide at the home turn.

Race 4: Ingham Farm Centre/JS&KA Venables Plumbing Benchmark 55 Handicap (1)
1000 metres:
1st – CHOI OI 2nd – OVER THE CHOICE 3rd – LOG CABIN 4th – NO IFS OR BUTS

DENIS THE DUDE – Was slowly away after jumping awkwardly with its head in the air.

MISS MYSTIFIED – Was slowly away. Raced wide at the home turn.

SHE BEE STINGIN’ – Shifted out abruptly on jumping.

OVER THE CHOICE – Knuckled shortly after the start.

CHOI OI – Was inclined to hang out under pressure down the running.

Race 5: Zest Financial Services Benchmark 55 Handicap (2) 1000 metres:
1st – SERGEANT SHRIVER 2nd – JUMBO RUMBO 3rd – ROMOS 4th – PERFECT RAINBOW

SHE CAN TWIST which refused to load was a late withdrawal by order of Stewards at 3:53pm. Prior to the declaration of correct weight Stewards ordered that all monies wagered on SHE CAN TWIST be refunded in full and further that all successful wagers placed on the event prior to 3:53pm be subject to deductions of 8 cents win and 8 cents place in the dollar on the face value of the betting ticket. Trainer Ms L Ashford was advised that the mare SHE CAN TWIST would be required to obtain one (1) barrier certificate prior to being permitted to race again.

GARDEN CITY – Was caught wide without cover in the early and middle stages. App B Swaffer reported that the gelding was inclined to race very ungenerously throughout despite his best efforts. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed minor shin soreness and a small laceration to the inside of the gelding’s mouth. Nonetheless Trainer Mr G Hall was advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding’s racing manners which will be monitored at future starts.

Race 6: XXXX Gold Open Handicap 1000 metres:
1st – LADRETTO 2nd – SNITZEM & STARLISTIC (Dead Heat) 4th – BOOM SHA LA

MCCONACHY which became fractious in the barriers lashing out with both hind legs was a late withdrawal on Veterinary advice at 4:29pm. Prior to the declaration of correct weight Stewards ordered that all monies wagered on MCCONACHY be refunded in full and further that all successful wagers placed on the event prior to 4:29pm be subject to deductions of 9 cents win and 10 cents place in the dollar on the face value of the betting ticket. A subsequent Veterinary examination revealed that the gelding had sustained lacerations to both hind legs and to the near side hip. Trainer Mr G Hall advised Stewards that it is his intention to spell the gelding. Nonetheless Mr Hall was advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding’s barrier manners which will be monitored at future starts.

ROBBERS ROOST(NZ) – Began awkwardly.

ARCATRAN – Jockey J Felix reported that the gelding had blundered and felt awkward for a short distance near the 600 metres.

Race 7: Coscer Financial Professionals Ingham Gold Cup Benchmark 65 Handicap
2000 metres:
1st – MAY NELLY 2nd – DATE WITH FATE 3rd – THE PRINCIPAL 4th – GODDESS OF LUCK

CRAIGLEA FOCUS – Began very awkwardly bumping with another runner at the start.

ROCK VANTAGE – Bumped with another runner at the start. Raced wide at the home turn.

GODDESS OF LUCK – Bumped with another runner at the start.

DATE WITH FATE – Bumped with another runner at the start. Was caught wide in the early stages.
