GENERAL
 
Stewards permitted the following overweights:
Race 2. G. Kliese +0.5kg
Race 4. N. Day +0.5kg
Race 5. G. Semmens +1.0kg
 
Race 1: COSCA ACCOUNTANTS Maiden Plate 1100M
 
Correct weight was delayed allowing Stewards to view the start of the event. After doing so it was established that SAN TAN TONI reared as the start was affected and lost considerable ground. As the cause of SAN TAN TONI missing the start was due to its own barrier manners, correct weight was subsequently declared on the semaphored placings.
 
FIVELINEDITTY – Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
TEEKKEE – Proved difficult to load delaying the start. Finished distanced from the placings. Due to its competitiveness, Trainer K. Pepper was advised that TEEKKEE will be required to trial satisfactorily prior to racing again.
 
SAN TAN TONI – Reared as the start was affected and lost considerable ground. Trainer M. Jokic was advised that SAN TAN TONI must obtain a further barrier certificate prior to racing again.
 
ENUFF STOP IT – Raced ungenerously for a short distance passing the 800 metres.
 
MISS MILDRED – Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
Race 2: INGHAM CONCRETE/WILMAR SUGAR QTIS Benchmark 55 Handicap 1200M
 
MARGOT BARBIE – Trainer G. Holt was reprimanded pursuant to AR 194 for not presenting her runners MARGOT BARBIE and HIT SNOOZE into the enclosure by the prescribed time.
 
HIT SNOOZE – Bounded on jumping.
 
BOLD ZIP – Slow into stride.
 
Race 3: INGHAM MAZDA BENCHMARK 50 Handicap
 
Correct weight was delayed allowing Stewards to ascertain whether DENIMS was afforded a fair start. After doing so, correct weight was declared on the judges’ semaphored numbers.
 
THREEBROTHERS – Dipped shortly after the start. Raced three-wide without cover throughout. Laid over the concluding stages and steadied away from the heels of JAWGO at the wining post.
 
TANTRUMS – Raced three-wide with cover throughout.
 
DENIMS – Began awkwardly. Hung in over the final 150 metres.
 
Race 4: STOKES & COMPANY ACCOUNTANTS CLASS B Handicap 1400M
 
WONG WAY – Raced wide in the early stages. Laid in momentarily passing the 500 metres.
 
RAPID POWER – Hung out rounding the first corner.
 
Race 5: NQIB COUNTRY CUPS CHALLENGE QUALIFIER/HINCHINBROOK CUP OPEN Handicap 1400M
 
SUCH A WHIT – Shifted out at the start hampering FERUS.
 
SAVVY SOVEREIGN (NZ) – Raced keenly in the middle stages. Lost it’s off-front shoe during the event. Trainer M. McGuire advised that the gelding would now be sent for a spell.
 
AOLANI – Inclined to lay in over the final 250 metres proving difficulty for Apprentice Jockey G. Semmens to fully test her mount.
 
FERUS – Hampered on jumping. Raced wide in the middle stages.
 
Race 6: INGHAM CELEBRATIONS – INGHAM GOLD CUP BENCHMARK 60 Handicap 1600M
 
TYCOON LAD – Bumped with BARMERA on jumping.
 
BARMERA – Bumped with TYCOON LAD on jumping. Over-raced in the early and middle stages when leading.
 
PROSPETTIVA (NZ) – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to race. Laid in over the concluding stages.
