QUEENSLANDRACING INTEGRITY COMMISSION STEWARDS REPORT INJUNE RACE CLUB SUNDAY 6TH JUNE 2021 WEATHER – FINE TRACK RATING – GOOD (DIRT) RAIL – TRUE OFFICIALS Chairman of Stewards –B. Bidgood SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT Saturday 5th June 2021 – Injune Due to the rainfall prior to meeting affecting the track surface, Stewards deemed the surface unsuitable for racing. Following consultation with Racing Queensland and the Injune Race Club, the decision was made to transfer to the meeting from Saturday 5th June 2021 to Sunday 6th June 2021. Race 1:CRESTONE/TAYLORS PARTS/JONES WELDING/JOBE ROSE/NAB QTIS MAIDEN PLATE – 1000m The start was delayed when BRANLINA proved difficult to load, rearing behind the gates subsequently dislodging its rider. A pre-race veterinary examination at the start passed the mare fit to race. Apprentice D. McGillivray was subsequently assessed by the Queensland Ambulance Service at the start and was passed fit to ride. Following the event a further assessment was undertaken on Apprentice McGillivray, resulting in him being transported to the local hospital after suffering a suspected head injury. Replacements as per stewards summary. Apprentice McGillivray was advised he will require a medical certificate prior to returning to race riding. SENSE OF EXPENSE – Raced in restricted room and lost ground leaving the 700m when GREAT BRAVE shifted in marginally. Jockey B. Appo the rider of GREAT BRAVE was advised to exercise more care. Upon returning to scale, Jockey B. Moffat advised that after losing ground at the 700m, his mount failed to respond under hard riding proving disappointing. Stewards noted Jockey Moffat’s explanation. GREAT BRAVE – Began awkwardly tightening runners to the inside. Shifted in marginally at the 700m tightening another runner. ARATULA – Began awkwardly tightening another runner to the inside. MISHANI GHOST – Tightened for room at the start and lost ground. COUNTRY LOVE – Laid in under pressure in the home straight. Race 2:IOR PETROLEUM/MOUNTS MACHINERY/HALL CHADWICK/RABOBANK BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP – 1000m The start time of the event was amended to 2:02pm. DIFFICULT – Stewards permitted Jockey B. Moffat to ride 0.5 kilograms overweight due to no other suitable rider being available. ISIS JECTALE – Began awkwardly. FOR LOVE – Began awkwardly. Raced wide without cover throughout the early and middle stages. No Further racing incidents. Race 3:D J & K A HORNICK/BLACK TOYOTA CLASS B HANDICAP – 1200m The start time of this event was amended to 2:35pm BUDDIE OLLIE– Declared a late scratching at 8:12am due to no suitable rider being available. PLENTY OF WHITT – Began awkwardly making contact with another runner to the inside. Raced ungenerously throughout the middle stages. DISCO DOUGIE – Bumped by another runner on jumping and lost ground. No Further racing Incidents. Race 4:NUTRIEN AG SOLUTIONS RATINGS BAND 0 - 60 HANDICAP – 1400m MAGIC WISHES - Slow to begin. Slow into stride. PETITE ELLE – Began awkwardly. Over raced in the early stages. Raced ungenerously from the 400m. WAMWARRA BAY – Raced three wide without cover throughout. Race 5:SANTOS INJUNE CUP OPEN HANDICAP – 1400m RITCHFORD – Slow to begin. LE DUDE – Raced three wide without cover throughout the middle stages. APITHANOS – Steadied from heels and lost ground leaving the 1200m when BILLY THE KID shifted out marginally. Apprentice C. Collis, the rider of BILLY THE KID, was issued a reprimand for careless riding under AR.131(a). SILENT FLYER – Improved into heels leaving the 1200m and was forced to restrain for a short distance.
