DAESY DONORO - Hung out near the 800 metres. Shifted out rounding the home turn taking another runner wider on the track.

After the running of this event Stewards upgraded the track rating to a Soft 5.

BLUE DANUBE - Dipped at the start. Shifted out near the 100 metres inconveniencing another runner.

WICKED THOUGHTS - Commenced to buck approximately 50 metres after the start. Upon returning to scale Jockey B Swaffer reported that his saddle slipped shortly after jumping. Notwithstanding this advice Trainer Mr. T Rowe was advised that the mare would have to successfully complete one barrier trial prior to being permitted to race again. Mr. Rowe also advised that, at future starts, it is his intention to employ the services of a lightweight jockey on the mare as he believes that smaller saddles such as the one used in today’s event may be contributing to the mare's poor racing manners.

MONSOON TWISTER - Had to be restrained off heels approaching the 100 metres when another runner shifted out.

DOUBOS – Was reluctant to load in the barriers. Was slowly into stride after beginning awkwardly. Was held up for clear running in the early part of the straight.

LITTLE DUCATI – Was resaddled behind the barriers. Shifted out abruptly at the start bumping with another runner. Jockey M Morris reported that near the 300 metres the mare had felt awkward in its action and as a result was eased out of the race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be lame in the right foreleg. Trainer Ms. M Chillemi was advised that a veterinary certificate of fitness would be required prior to the mare racing again.

LIDEEM - Stewards permitted the replacement of Jockey P Cullen with Jockey B Swaffer. After speaking with Trainer Mr G Strickland it was established that a miscommunication had led to Jockey P Cullen being declared. Stewards took no action against either Jockey Cullen or Mr. Strickland. Was slowly into stride.

SPIRITED SAINT – Was slowly away after beginning awkwardly.

STRICTLY MAGIC – Was taken wider at the start by another runner which shifted out. Upon returning to scale Jockey G Kliese advised that once the gelding had improved to be on terms with the leader in the straight it had failed to find the line as expected despite his efforts. Trainer Mr. G Tsakissiris advised Stewards that he intends to experiment with a gear change prior to the gelding racing again in an effort to ensure that it finishes off its races.

Improved onto the heels of another runner soon after and continued to race fiercely, before improving into an extremely narrow run placing a runner to its inside in restricted room.
