Whilst Stewards concede Apprentice Cass was initially started on an inward path by HILARIOUS HONOUR (Jockey P Cullen), Apprentice Cass made no effort to hold her position and continued to shift ground until she was in a position on the rail. Under the provisions of AR137(a), Apprentice Cass had her licence to ride in races suspended for a period to commence midnight 30th October 2016 and to expire on 9th of November 2016 (10 days). In assessing penalty Stewards took into account her guilty plea, forthright evidence and relative inexperience and the penalty was mitigated accordingly.
