Race 1: Mendi Classic Maiden Plate 2YO & Up 900 metres:
1st – HEY I’M READY?       2nd – EIGHTH KEEPER        3rd – BE WHY OH      4th – LITTLE RED ROCKET
 
WALTZIN’ ROCKET - Slow into stride. Trainer Mr. T Rowe advised stewards the filly had returned to the enclosure with minor abrasions to its head. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the injuries were of a minor nature.
 
BELLA ROSIE – Buffeted between runners for a short distance after the start.
 
TURBO DIESEL – Raced wide throughout.
 
HOTEL HILLTOP – Raced wide throughout. Raced greenly for a short distance on entering the home straight.
 
MISS SONIC BOOM – A post-race veterinary examination revealed swelling to the near fore fetlock.
 
Race 2: Southern Highlands Provincial Open Handicap 900 metres:
1st – WISHFUL  2nd – STIEG        3rd – ROSE OF CLARE     4th – WINGED WARRIOR
 
RAPT IN RUMBA – Was a late withdrawal at 2.05pm after breaking through the front of the barriers, dislodging App. N Nelson, who was uninjured and galloping a considerable distance. Prior to the declaration of correct weight Stewards ordered that all bets placed on RAPT IN RUMBA be refunded in full and further that all successful wagers placed on the event prior to 2:05pm be subject to deductions of 31c win and 28c place in the dollar on the face value of the betting ticket.
 
Jockey S Wilson (POPULAR BELIEF) who was examined by the ambulance officers after sustaining an impact to his leg in the barriers when his mount became fractious was cleared to ride.
 
WISHFUL – Slow into stride.
 
STRICTLY MAGIC – Slowly away. Raced wide on straightening.
 
ROSE OF CLARE – Raced wide on straightening.
 
STIEG – Shifted out across heels near the 200 metres to obtain clear running.
 
Race 3: Sanamo Group Benchmark 50 Handicap 1100 metres:
1st – OAKFIELD AVENGER  ?    2nd – COMPULSIVE ROCKET       3rd – PUB THUG    4th – TOXICITY
 
BOOM BOX was a late withdrawal at 2.45pm after becoming fractious in the mounting yard and dislodging App. N Nelson on two occasions. Upon veterinary examination the gelding was found to be lame in the near fore. Prior to the declaration of correct weight Stewards ordered that all bets placed on BOOM BOX be refunded in full and further that all successful wagers placed on the event prior to 2.45pm be subject to the deductions of 7c win and 8c place in the dollar on the face value of the betting ticket. Trainer’s representative Mr. G Ashford was advised that a veterinary clearance would be required prior to the gelding again starting in a race. App. Nelson was uninjured in the incident.

WILD DIVA – Slowly away after being crowded on jumping. Raced wide on straightening.
 
PHANTOM SOX – Slowly away. Raced wide on straightening.
 
GOD’S REWARD – Unable to muster pace in the early stages.
 
PUB THUG – Inclined to hang out for the majority of the event.
 
COMPULSIVE ROCKET – Shied approaching the winning post causing Jockey S Kaya to become unbalanced.
 
Race 4: Global Homes Benchmark 65 Handicap 1200 metres:
1st – ROAD FOX        2nd – MADEMOISELLE ZARIZ     3rd – SCHNELLES PFERD       4th – BONNIE BON BON
 
TOP BUTTON – Slowly away.
 
ROAD FOX – Bumped with another runner on jumping. Inclined to overrace in the early and middle stages.
 
BONNIE BON BON – Bumped with another runner on jumping.
 
GANGSTER SQUAD – Raced wide on straightening.

Jockey K Stone who was dislodged from the filly  CRACKAJACK GIRL during the running of a jumpout following today’s race meeting was attended by ambulance officers and was transported to Innisfail Base Hospital for treatment to shoulder and rib injuries.
