On returning to scale Jockey N Yadi, the rider of SHE’S A RINGO which finished 3rd, lodged an objection against NYMBOI (Apprentice N Nelson) being declared the winner, alleging interference over the final 50m. After hearing evidence from the parties involved and viewing the official race film, stewards established that SHE’S A RINGO shifted in abruptly making heavy contact with NYMBOI’S hindquarters and causing that horse to become unbalanced for a few strides and marginally shift out again making contact with SHE’S A RINGO.
