Race 1: BLENNERS TRANSPORT / OPAL FIBRE AUSTRALIA QTIS Maiden Plate 1100 metres
 
SNAP CHAT – Declared a late scratching at 12.40pm by order of stewards acting on veterinary advice when found to be lame in the off-front leg. Trainer R. Baker was advised he must provide a veterinary clearance of soundness prior to the gelding racing or trialling again.
 
KILKENNY JACK – The start was delayed when the gelding refused to load and was declared a late scratching at 1.40pm. All monies invested on KILKENY JACK were ordered to be refunded. Deductions applicable to bets placed on the winner and placegetters prior to 1.40PM.

MANDO MOON – Shifted out on jumping making heavy contact with QUARTER PAST and as a result lost ground.
 
QUARTER PAST – Bumped heavily on jumping and lost ground. Held up and unable to improve for a short distance leaving the 400 metres. Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
REBOZO – Began awkwardly, shifted out abruptly and lost ground.Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
CLASSIC ENUFF – Had a tendency to lay out throughout the race. Trainer A. Molino advised stewards he would experiment with gear changes prior to the mare’s next start.
 
REDENZO ROMAN – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
DEVILSPREDICTION – A post-race veterinary examination revealed a small laceration to it near hind coronet.
 
Race 2: TODD'S TRANSPORT NQ / TROPICANNA BANANA BENCHMARK 45 Handicap 1100 metres
 
STYLE LINE – Slow to begin.
 
SOGNI – Slow into stride.Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
HELLUVA HOFFA – Over-raced in the early and middle stages and when being restrained off heels leaving the 900 metres shifted in placing GRACEFUL ZARIFA in restricted room for a short distance.
 
GRACEFUL ZARIFA – Over-raced in the early stages and was restrained when placed in restricted room leaving the 900 metres.

SWEET JUNE –Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
BUWAN – Over-raced in the middle stages and restrained from heels approaching the 800 metres.
 
LET'S CONQUER – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
SMOKIN' TOMMY – Raced wide for the majority of the race.

Race 3: FOLLOWMONT TPT / LAMANNA PREMIER GROUP BENCHMARK 60 Handicap 900 metres
 
RED DENARO – As S. Sheargold was dually engaged he was replaced by S. Pawsey as the rider of the gelding. Stewards noted the explanation. Jumped outwards at the start hampering METEORANO.
 
SHIFTY SHAMUS – Jumped inwards at the start hamperingMETEORANO and as a result became unbalanced and lost ground.
 
METEORANO – Tightened for room between runners on jumping. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
SYLVESTER – Shifted out momentarily near the 200 metres hampering JUST A LOVE SONG.

JUST A LOVE SONG – Momentarily forced wider near the 200 metres.
 
BE FAMOUS – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
Race 4: NUTRANO PRODUCE / CASSOWARY COAST CARTONS OPEN Handicap 1200 metres
 
NOTIO – Broke its tongue tie when entering the course proper, as no replacement tongue tie was able to be quickly located stewards granted trainer R. Miller permission to race without that piece of gear. This was broadcast via media outlets. Slow to begin.
 
TYCOON THUNDER – Shifted out on jumping hampering runners to outside.Laid in under pressure rounding the home turn and in the home straight.

OUR CHIQUILLA – Tightened for room on jumping.
 
COOL ATTITUDE – Tightened for room on jumping.
 
HALCYON HOUSE – Tightened for room on jumping and lost ground.
 
OWN SWEET WAY (NZ) – Bumped on jumping.
 
Following the running of this race and further showers the track was downgraded to a Heavy 9.
 
Race 5: MACKAYS BANANA MARKETING CUP OPEN Handicap 1800 metres
 
VICTORY DANCE – Jumped inwards at the start tightening runners to its inside.
 
DORDOGNE – Was tightened for room between runners on jumping. Momentarily hampered near the 400 metres.
 
SALESMAN – Bumped on the hindquarters on jumping and became unbalanced. Over-raced in the middle stages, improved onto heels approaching the 1200 metres and was restrained. Continued to over-race for some distance.
 
BUXTON – Improved onto heels near the 1000 metres and shifted out.

BRILLIANT MIND – Wide in the early stages of the race.

TUTELAGE – Raced wide in the middle stages.

BREAKDANCE (NZ) – Compounded near the 400 metres and hampered DORDOGNE. Raced wide in the middle stages.
 
CITY SMART –Compounded approaching the 200 metres.
 
Following the running of this race and continuing showers a number of riders advised the stewards of visibility concerns. As such the remainder of the meeting was postponed due to safety concerns.
