Brady Race 1: STAR LIQUOR MAIDEN PLATE – 900 Metres FAST GIRL– As the mare had not raced for an extended period of time, it underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Dislodged rider K. Swaffer during its preliminary and after galloping some distance was declared a late scratching at 1.17pm on veterinary advice. On the announcement of correct weight all moneys invested on FAST GIRL were ordered to be refunded with the following deductions applicable to all winning bets prior to 1.17pm. 42 cents in the dollar on the face value of all win bets and 24 cents in the dollar on the face value of all place bets. Jockey K. Swaffer was examined by the QAS officers and cleared to fulfil her remaining engagements. DAIQUIRI DAYS– As the filly had not raced for an extended period of time, it underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Began awkwardly. Compounded over the concluding stages. PALENTIA SPICE– As the filly had not raced for an extended period of time, it underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Slow to begin. DISORDERLY – As the gelding had not raced for an extended period of time, it underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start. AMBER’S POWER – Slow to begin. SUMBANK – Raced wide for the majority of race. Jockey L. Morrison dropped whip her leaving the 100 metres. TYCOON CINDY – Raced wide for the majority of the race.Race 2: CANECUTTER TAVERN RATINGS BAND 0 – 65 HANDICAP – 900 Metres SOLOMON – Bounded in the air as the start was effected and lost ground. Laid in under pressure in the home straight. Race 3: GARRADUNGA HOTEL OPEN HANDICAP – 1100 Metres LOUD NOISE – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination when arriving at the barriers atthe request of its rider and was cleared to start. EL OF A SAGA – Shifted in at the start bumping heavily with WITTERICK. WHITTERICK – Bumped heavily on jumping and shifted in bumping GAELIC losing ground asa result. Checked near the 150 metres when inconvenienced by CUPIDS SON which shiftedin when tiring. GAELIC – Bumped heavily on jumping and lost ground. CUPIDS SON – Shifted in when compounding near 150 metres inconveniencingWHITTERICK. Jockey L. Morrison was advised to show greater care in similar circumstances. Rider L. Morrison dismounted soon after the winning post when she felt the horse was awkward in its action. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with trainer S. Hoffman in the coming days. Race 4: IMPERIAL TAVERN BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP – 1200 Metres LAPESKI – As the mare had not raced for an extended period of time, it underwent a pre-raceveterinary examination and was cleared to start. Over-raced in the early stages. SWAHILI MAI – Tightened for room on jumping and lost ground.MY SISTER SAL – Shifted in at the start tightening SWAHILI MAI. Raced wide for the majorityof the race. ENUFF ROSES – Restrained off heels near the 800 metres. BELOTTI BEANS – Raced wide for the majority of the race. Race 5: INNISFAIL GOLF CLUB CLASSIC APRIL 22/23 QTIS BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP – 1500 Metres LIPEANSASS – Struck rider M.Abe in the head behind the barriers who required medical attention and was unable to fulfil his riding engagement and was declared a late scratching at 4.03pm. On the announcement of correct weight all moneys invested on LIPEANSASS were ordered to be refunded with the following deductions applicable to all winning bets prior to 4.03pm. 16 cents in the dollar on the face value of all win bets and14 cents in the dollar on the face value of all place bets. SWANKY SUE – Slow to begin. RIGHT BOWER – Slow to begin. FEMALE OFFICER – Slow to begin. Over-raced in the early and middle stages. TOUCH OF BALI – Raced wide in the early stages and lost ground near the 1100 metres when being restrained to take a position closer to the rail. Trainer P. Rowe reported to stewards following the race that the mare had lost its near fore plate and gone down on both back bumpers during running.
