Race 1: GOONDI HILL HOTEL QTIS MAIDEN HANDICAP – 1200 Metres

TEEKKEE – Slow to begin. Finished tailed off. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer S. Pepper was advised a warning would be placed on the gelding which was having its first race start over its competitiveness.
 
OUR FOLLY – Shifted out at the start forcing AIN’TNO SAINT wider.
 
AIN'TNOSAINT – Began awkwardly. Forced wider soon after the start. Over-raced for a short distance near the 800 metres.
 
JOURNO – Laid out rounding the home turn.
 
MISHANI BURN – Shifted out under pressure near the 200 metres brushing with DISCO ANNIE.
 
DISCO ANNIE – Brushed near the 200 metres.
 
TINDER SWINDLER – Raced wide for the majority of the race and shifted wider rounding the home turn.
 
JUST SMILE – Raced wide without cover for the majority of the race.
 
Race 2: APEX DRILL AND BLAST CLASS 6 PLATE – 1200 Metres
 
COUNTER COMMAND – Rider C. Jokic was dislodged behind the barriers still whilst having hold of her mount and declared herself free of injury and declined ambulance attention. Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
REDWOOD SHADOW (NZ) – Slow to begin.
 
SIDE HUSTLE – Lost its off-hind plate during the race.
 
OVERLORD – Shifted out to obtain clear running near the 200 metres bumping DELUXE LEGEND. Lost its off-front plate during the race.
 
DELUXE LEGEND – Bumped near the 200 metres.
 
Race 3: INNISFAIL TAXIS BM70 HANDICAP – 1500 Metres
 
LOBURN LASS – Over-raced in the early stages.
 
SEALION – Whilst stewards were of the opinion it had no bearing on the finishing positions jockey N. Thomas was reminded of his obligation to ride
his mounts right out to the finish line.

Race 4: BROTHERS LEAGUE CLUB INNISFAIL QTIS THREE-YEARS-OLD MAIDEN HANDICAP – 900 Metres
 
PARPPY 'N' ME – Slow to begin. Raced greenly throughout.
 
HOOFIN' BAR – Slow to begin.

SAN TAN TONI – Became unbalanced near the 300 metres putting in an awkward stride and was steadied. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities.

TURN IT UP ROSIE – Made the home turn awkwardly.
 
LOVE 'N' VISION – Made the home turn awkwardly.
 
SKOGAFOSS – Disappointed for a run approaching the 100 metres having to alter course.
 
ALLEZ PARIS – Shifted out under pressure near the 100 metres hampering SKOGAFOSS. Rider P. Romeo was advised to show greater care when shifting ground.
 
Race 5: RQ SUPPORTS RACING INDUSTRY SAFETY - RAINE & HORNE INNISFAIL OPEN HANDICAP – 900 Metres
 
INVINCIBLE JET – Fractious in the barriers and reared as the start was effected and lost ground. Raced three wide rounding the home turn. Hampered approaching the winning post.
 
LOUD NOISE – Shifted out to obtain clear running leaving the 100 metres placing THUMANI in restricted room and causing that runner to bump heavily with KING JESTER which in turn shifted out hampering INVINCIBLE JET. Jockey C. Jokic (LOUD NOISE) was severely reprimanded and advised to show greater care in similar circumstances.
 
KING JESTER – Bumped heavily approaching the winning post.
 
THUMANI – Bumped heavily approaching the winning post.
 
Correct weight was delayed when the connections of 4th placegetter, (THUMANI) and 5th placegetter Jockey J. Murphy (KING JESTER) requested to view the patrol films to ascertain whether they had grounds to lodge a protest against the 3RD placegetter LOUD NOISE. After viewing the films, all parties advised they did not wish to proceed with the protest and correct weight was declared on the judge’s semaphored numbers.
 
Race 6: INNISFAIL SEAFOODS BM55 HANDICAP – 900 Metres
 
GAMADALE NIP – Slow to begin.
 
CALM IS POWER – Slow to begin.
 
NAZORIAN – Shifted out at the start hampering FLYING ARTIST. A post-race veterinary examination revealed lacerations to both hind legs consistent with being galloped on. Trainer A. Malliff was advised he must obtain a veterinary certificate of fitness prior to its next race start.
 
FLYING ARTIST – Hampered on jumping. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
OUT OF SIGHT – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Raced ungenerously for a short distance near the 350 metres when being restrained.
 
PUSS BOOTS – Became awkward in its action near the 400 metres and was retired from the race. A veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer R. Chillemi advised stewards he would have further examinations conducted after returning to the stables and advise stewards should anything come to his attention that may have had a bearing on today’s performance.
 
MAZZARATTI – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
HEAD HONCHO – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
Race 7: INELECTRICS BM55 HANDICAP – 1500 Metres
 
JAZZ WORTHY – The start was delayed when the mare became fractious in the barriers dislodging jockey C. Jokic. Due to Ms Jokic being injured in the incident JAZZ WORTHY was subsequently declared a late scratching at 4.43pm. All monies invested on JAZZ WORTHY were ordered to be refunded. Deductions applicable to bets placed on winner and placegetters prior to 4:43pm,

8 cents in the dollar for 2nd place PELSAERT
8 cents in the dollar for 3rd place BRAVE AGENDA
 
Trainer R. Kirkwood was advised a warning would be placed on the mare’s barrier manners.
 
LENNY ROCKET – Slow to begin.
 
MOEGREEN (NZ) – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Shifted wider leaving the 1100 metres and raced wide from that point onwards.
 
LADY OF FORTUNE – Made the 1250 metre turn awkwardly.

MIRROR ILLUSION – Steadied near the 500 metres and lost ground.
 
PELSAERT (NZ) – Over-raced in the early stages.

 
SIZZLING SUN – Raced three wide without cover for the majority of the race.
 
Stewards will inquire into the reason MIRROR ILLUSION lost ground near the 500 metres at a time and date to be fixed.
 
Race 8: COAST MARINE AND OUTDOORS CLASS 1 HANDICAP – 1200 Metres
 
THE WALLET – As jockey C. Jokic was unable to fulfill her engagement she was replaced by non-claiming apprentice T. Leslight who was permitted to ride 1kg over its allotted weight when no other rider was available. Ms Jokic was advised she must provide a medical clearance prior to her next race ride.
 
OAKFIELD PANTHER – Shifted out at the start bumping LITTLE LOVER. Raced wide for the majority of the race.

LITTLE LOVER – Bumped on jumping.
 
ALREADY BETTER – On returning to scale jockey J. Murphy advised stewards the gelding was not comfortable on today’s firm surface and further that it would be better suited to a longer distance than that of today’s race.
