SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT
 
INNISFAIL TURF CLUB – FRIDAY 25 OCTOBER 2024
Race 7: INELECTRICS BM55 HANDICAP – 1500 Metres
 
Stewards today inquired into the reason MIRROR ILLUSSION lost ground near the 500 metres. After hearing evidence from L. Morrison (MIRROR ILLUSSION), N. Day (PELSAERT) and P. Romeo (SIZZLING SUN) along with viewing of the available footage it
was established that MIIRROR ILLUSSION when racing in restricted room to the inside PELSAERT which was racing back to the inside of SIZZLING SUN which was tiring shifted in slightly when being urged forward resulting in MIRROR ILLUSSION being
restrained and lose ground. As stewards could not attribute total blame to anyone rider no further action was taken another than to advise N. Day (PELSAERT) to show greater care in similar circumstances.

The following runners which had not raced for an extended period all underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and were cleared to start. Snuggles, Mutafiq, King’s Halo, Master Orr.   
 
Race 1: EH WESTBURY & CO MAIDEN HANDICAP  900 Metres
 
CHILLI CREAM – As apprentice Ms M Cambell was unable to fulfil her engagement due to transportation difficulties she was replaced by senior rider Ms A Thomson when no other suitable apprentice rider was available. – Fractious in the barriers prior to the start. Hampered near the 300 metres. 
 
COPPABELLA ROAD – Slow to begin. Inconvenienced near the 300 metres and shifted out hampering CHILLI CREAM.
 
CLAN WIELAND – Fractious in the barriers prior to the start, reared and lost ground. 

SNUGGLES – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
CHOCMINT – Laid out under pressure in the home straight. Lost its near hind and off front plate during running.  
 
WHATA BOBBI DAZZLA – Made the home turn awkwardly.
 
LOVES AFFECTION – Laid out rounding the home turn inconveniencing COPPABELLA ROAD. Connections were advised a warning will be placed on the mare’s racing manners.   
 
Race 2: RUSSELL SIGNS QTIS THREE-YEARS-OLD HANDICAP  1200 Metres
 
UNDER THE SHADOW – Slow into stride.
 
ISLA GIRL – Inconvenienced near the 1100 metres by MISHANI DESTINY which shifted in abruptly on its own accord.

MISHANI DESTINY – Shifted in abruptly near the 1100 metres inconveniencing ISLA GIRL. Raced ungenerously for a short distance near the 800 metres.
 
ROCKY BLONDE – Raced three wide without cover for the majority of the race.
 
Race 3: IGNITE FINANCIAL NQ OPEN HANDICAP  1500 M
 
REDWOOD SHADOW (NZ) As M. Murphy was unable to ride the gelding at its allotted weight of 55.5kg he was replaced by non-claiming apprentice T. Leslight. Stewards accepted the explanation tendered by jockey M. Murphy.
 
INVESTOR – Raced wide in the middle stages. On returning to scale jockey J. Murphy advised stewards that in his opinion the gelding was not entirely comfortable on today’s racing surface.
 
Race 4: GARRADUNGA HOTEL BM60 HANDICAP  1500 M
 
ZOUHOPE – Slow to begin.
 
ALWAYS WRITTEN OFF – Raced wide leaving the 1000 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have a poor post-race recovery. Trainer A. Malliff was advised a veterinary clearance of fitness must be provided prior to its next race start.
 
BRAVE AGENDA – Raced wide in the early stages. Shifted in crowding SIZZLING SUN near the 1200 metres. Jockey M. Abe was advised to show greater care when shifting ground. 
 
SIZZLING SUN – Crowded for room near the 1200 metres and was steadied.
 
JAZZ WORTHY – Raced wide in the early and middle stages.
 
BARMERA – Laid out near the 300 meters brushing BAVE AGENDA.
 
MIRROR ILLUSION – Held up for clear running over the concluding stages.
 
Race 5: HOGAN & ASSOCIATES CLASS 3 PLATE  1200 M
 
GOLDEN CHARLES – Slow to begin. Laid out in early and middle stages. Lost its off front plate during running.
 
LIDDER VALLEY – Bumped on jumping and shifted in shortly after when unbalanced bumping BLOOMIN’ RIPPER on the hind quarters.
 
BLOOMIN' RIPPER – Shifted out at the start bumping LIDDER VALLEY and then was bumped on the hind quarters by LIDDER VALLEY which shifted in when unbalanced.
 
MR KOBO – Over-raced in the early and middle stages having to be restrained for some distance.
 
WISHNOWSKY – Laid out in the early and middle stages.
 
Race 6: TYRE POWER INNISFAIL BM65 HANDICAP  900 M
 
POMADE – Shifted in at the start bumping with GOSSIP TORQUE.
 
GOSSIP TORQUE – Bumped on jumping and shifted in brushing MOUNT WARNING.  
 
RIGEL STAR – Raced wide rounding the home turn.
 
REGAL CONQUEROR – Raced wide rounding the home turn and laid in when placed under pressure. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
MOUNT WARNING – Brushed on jumping.
 
Race 7: D'URSO AIR CONDITIONING & ELECTRICAL CLASS 1 HANDICAP  900 M
 
MASTER ORR – Due to jockey M. Murphy being unable to make the allotted weight and no other suitable rider being available he was permitted to ride the gelding 1kg over at the request of trainer M. Dale. Stewards accepted the explanation tendered by jockey M. Murphy. 
 
THREEBROTHERS – Slow to begin. Over-raced in the middle stages.
 
LUCKY ROLLA – Slow into stride and unable to muster early speed.   
 
ELLIE'S DREAM – Raced wide rounding the home turn.
 
SHEZAPEARLER – Raced wide rounding the home turn.
 
Race 8: MIDWAY BUTCHERS BM55 HANDICAP  1200 M
 
PUSS BOOTS – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Began awkwardly and shifted in bumping BORLOTTI BEANS. 
 
MISS GABBIANO – Slow into stride. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
BORLOTTI BEANS – Bumped on jumping. Forced wider rounding the home turn.
 
EUROMANTIC – Shifted in at the start bumping AGLOT.
 
AGLOT – Bumped on jumping. Forced wider rounding the home turn.
 
DOMINANT ROSE – Over-raced in the early stages.
 
SUPER ART – Over-raced in the early stages.
 
THUNDER MOON – Forced wider rounding the home turn. Raced wide for the majority of the race.  
 
IRRESISTIBLE FORCE – Shifted out rounding the home forcing other runners wider. Jockey N. Day was advised to show greater care in similar circumstances.
