GENERALThe following runner which had not raced for an extended period underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start: PREMIUM STAR.Race 1: KANE PUMPING MAIDEN PLATE 900 M BATTLEKATT – Shifted out at the start bumping with HOOFIN’ BAR. Over raced in the early stages. Shifted out under pressure in the home straight forcing HOOFIN’ BAR wider on the track. Rider C Meehan was reprimanded and advised to stop riding and correct his mount when shifting ground. HOOFIN’ BAR – Bumped on jumping. Raced three wide without cover for the majority. Forced wider in the home straight. Race 2: CUMIC STEEL QTIS BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP 900 M QUINSTEP GIRL – Bumped heavily on jumping.BITTERGREYMAGIC – Began awkwardly and shifted in on jumping making heavy contact with QUINSTEP GIRL.GREY POWER – Raced three wide without cover. Raced ungenerously rounding the home turn. POWER PUFF – When questioned in regard to its performance rider C Meehan was of the opinion the mare failed to back up from its run at Cairns 3rd March 2025. Trainer A Bailey agreed with jockeys Meehan’s assessment and advised stewards POWER PUFF will be freshened before its next start.Race 3: CLEANAWAY OPEN HANDICAP 1100 MMR METRICS – Shifted out at the start bumping with GULF OF LION.GULF OF LION – Bumped on jumping. Laid in under pressure in the home straight. Race 4: MOURILYAN BAKERY BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1200 M BEAR’S BEST – Slow to begin. SPINELESS – Slow into stride. Race wide in the early and middle stages.TAORMINA RHYTHM – Raced three wide with no cover.FIVE BULLS – Raced wide in the middle stages.Race 5: ROTARY CLUB INNISFAIL BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 1500 M LOVE ON SUNDAY – Slow into stride. Hampered approaching the 1200 metres and forced wider, than improved forward to race outside the leader.CALL ME HILTON – Attempted to buck approaching the 1200 metres and lost ground. In this incident hampered LOVE ON SUNDAY.
