WEATHER - FINE TRACK - GOOD RAIL - .5M ALL TRACK
GENERAL: As G. Colless was indisposed, the following riding substitutions were permitted: Race 2. TOTILAS DREAM - J. Powell; Race 3. RARE SPARKLE - M. Tracey; Race 4. JARROD - J. Powell; Race 5. LAVOISIER - M. Tracey; Race 8. GENERAL EAGLE - M. Williamson.
N. Jolly was indisposed and was replaced by C. Eaton on PRINCESS REALE.in race 4.
A. Russell was indisposed and S. Katsidis was substituted as the rider of CAPTAIN PICARD in race 4.
RACE 1: VISIT HISTORICAL WARWICK H'CAP - 1666M.
No racing incidents.
RACE 2: WARWICK RSL RACEDAY H'CAP - 1666M.

RUSSIAN ADVOCATE was slow to begin.
PETRIFIED was forced to race wide from the 1400m..
RACE 3: MELISA & ANDREW H'CAP - 1350M.
UNATTAINABLE was slow to begin.
MADIBA was held up for clear running approaching the home turn.
UNATTANABLE was held up from the 400m. onwards.
MADIBA was momentarily tightened for room leaving the 200m. when LION HUNT shifted in.
RACE 4: TED & LES H'CAP - 1350M.
DELSKI ROAD was slow to begin.
DELSKI ROAD was held up in the early stages of the straight.
ARROWSMITH shifted in approaching the 100m., taking JARROD in onto the tiring BLUEBURG, which was forced to ease.
J. Taylor was asked to explain his riding tactics on BOOKWORM in the early and middle stages of the race. J. Taylor explained that from his wide barrier he was caught wide towards the rear of the field, and that when the pace eased he elected to go forward, and near the 800m. he was obliged to race 4 wide. He stated that on several occasions he had looked to his inside in an endeavor to obtain a position closer to the rails on BOOKWORM, however he was unsuccessful and as a consequence was obliged to race wide throughout the race. The explanation was noted.
RACE 5: DENIS WILSON H'CAP - 1100M.
TAIPAN RULER shifted in at the start, making contact with CAPTAIN PICARD, causing GAY DECEPTION to be hampered.
Approaching the 800m., GAY DECEPTION, which was inclined to overrace, was forced to ease from the heels of SHE'S SO FREAKY, which shifted in.
Near the 400m., DIABLO ROUGE shifted out and became unbalanced when making heavy contact with QUESTEGIC. D. Tanti, rider of QUESTEGIC, reported that in this incident he lost the use of his off-side iron when his saddle slipped, placing him at a disadvantage in testing his mount over the concluding stages.
DIABLO ROUGE was disappointed for a run shortly after straightening between WHY MARJORIE, which shifted out, and LAVOISIER. After electing to shift back to the inside the gelding was again disappointed for a run when WHY MARJORIE shifted in.
Leaving the 200m., QUESTEGIC shifted out, hampering WHY MARGORIE, which also shifted in slightly.
RACE 6: WARWICK RSL PUNTERS CLUB H'CAP - 1000M.
Making the home turn, GAY PREDICTION shifted in, hampering TEMPLE MASTER, which at that stage had been held up for clear running.
Approaching the 100m., ACTION TIME shifted out, hampering YAKEEMA DANCER.
J. Taylor, rider of YAKEEMA DANCER, was questioned regarding his riding tactics, particularly in the early and middle stages of the race. J. Taylor stated that he had been instructed to lead, however the horse did not have the necessary pace to lead and as a result he elected to take a trail behind LION SAFARI. However in the vicinity of the 700m., LION SAFARI eased, causing YAKEEMA DANCER to shift out to avoid that gelding's heels, and in doing so was obliged to race 4 wide. J. Taylor added that when wide on the home turn, YAKEEMA DANCER lost ground when obliged to avoid the heels of LION SAFARI, which shifted out. The explanation was noted.
RACE 7: GAIL & NETTA H'CAP - 1350M.
CRAIGLEA DANCER shifted out abruptly over the concluding stages.
RACE 8: WARWICK MEMORIAL RSL CLUB H'CAP - 1666M.
No incidents.
