Trainer M. Thexton was fined $300 under AR114 for failing to scratch DANKE SCHOEN by the prescribed time.

Race 1: Optus Business Direct Ipswich Mile 1MW Last Year H’cap – 1666m
1st – King Of Soul 2nd – Thee Auld 3rd – Down To Earth 4th - Skyleda

DANEFULL (M. Cahill) was forced to race wide in the early stages.

Passing the 1400m, AEROSOL (J. Holder) commenced to overrace.

Approaching the 500m, PARTY EXPRESS (K. Forrester) blundered.

Near the 500m, DARKSIDE LASS (J. Taylor) was tightened for room between AEROSOL (J. Holder) and PARAMETER (R. McMahon), which shifted out slightly in an endeavour to obtain clear running. PARAMETER was then held up for clear running from that point until after passing the 300m.

CELTIC TRIAL (S. Seamer), DOWN TO EARTH (M. Morris) and ZEDSQUARE (K. Pope) were all forced to race wide for the majority of the event.

A post race veterinary examination of TALONS SHOWN revealed the mare to be sore across the back.

Race 2: Ray White Ipswich Dash Class 6 Plate - 1100
1st – Sir Monashee 2nd – Foxmore 3rd – Persuades 4th – A Little Naughty

BOOM SHAKER (R. McMahon) and FUHR GOODNESS SAKE (D. Griffin) came together on jumping away.

Passing the 200m, BOOM SHAKER (R. McMahon) was placed in restricted room between MYNDOS (K. Banks) and FOXMORE (J. Warrington), which shifted out, and near the 100m, had to be steadied off the heels of FOXMORE, which continued to shift out. J. Warrington, rider of FOXMORE, was reprimanded.

A post race veterinary examination of MISS MOONEY MOONEY revealed the mare to be suffering from cardiac arrhythmia. Trainer T. Wildman’s foreperson Mr D. Pfieffer was advised that the mare must undergo an ECG and trial satisfactorily in an official trial prior to its next race start.


Race 3: Southern Qld Steel Bundamba 2yo QTIS Plate – 1200m
1st – Ima Joker 2nd – Harlin 3rd – Moglich 4th – Pagan County

PARTYGOER was declared a late scratching at 1.34 p.m. on veterinary advice after the filly injured itself after becoming fractious in the barriers. Subsequent to the event all monies invested on PARTYGOER were ordered to be refunded, with deduction of 6 cents in the dollar on the face value of win bets, 7 cents in the dollar on the face value of place bets.

LEONDARI ON ICE (B. Pengelly), MISTRESS QUICKLY (K. Pope) and ROWLAND LAD (M. Palmer) were all slow to begin.

PAGAN COUNTY (S. Drake) jumped away awkwardly.

K. Forrester, rider of MINDIL BEACH, was found guilty of a charge of careless riding, in that near the 800m he permitted his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of FINN O’REILLY (M. Cahill), which resulted in FINN O’REILLY having to be checked. K. Forrester was suspended from riding in races for a period covered by 8 meetings, to commence at midnight, 21 June, and to expire at midnight, 5 July 2006.

Passing the 1100m, COCKTAIL SUPREME (D. Griffin) was inconvenienced by SEEMAQUALO, which attempted to buck. G. Colless then retired SEEMAQUALO from the event. Trainer K. Schweida was advised that SEEMAQUALO must trial satisfactorily prior to its next race start.

COCKTAIL SUPREME, STYLISED (D. Nikolic) and ROWLAND LAD (M. Palmer) all raced wide throughout.

Race 4: Schweppes T.L.Cooney QTIS 3yo H’cap – 1200m
1st – Cocolare 2nd – Upsized 3rd – Polarised 4th – Stormy Sequalo

THE BIG EASY (J. Holder) and NO MISTAKE (D. Nikolic) were tightened for room on jumping away between BOLD REASON (J. Taylor) and DULACCA DIVA (S. Katsidis), both of which shifted ground.

MIGALOO (K. Pope) and POLARIS (M. Morris) jumped away awkwardly.

Approaching the 500m, COCCOLARE (A. Pattillo) shifted out and bumped STIRLING (M. Palmer).

Rounding the home turn, NO MISTAKE (D. Nikolic) was held up on the heels of BECKS CROWN (K. Forrester).

After passing the 200m, BOLD REASON (J. Taylor) was held up for clear running.

Near the 100m, WHAT A TALE (S. Drake) had to be steadied when tightened for room between BOLD REASON and MIGALOO (K. Pope), which shifted in slightly. WHAT A TALE was held up for clear running for the remainder of the event.

Near the 50m, NO MISTAKE had to be momentarily steadied to avoid the heels of POLARIS (M. Morris).

CIELO GOLD (R. McMahon) and THE BIG EASY (J. Holder) were forced to race wide for the majority of the event.

When questioned regarding the performance of DULACCA DIVA, S. Katsidis stated that the filly travelled well, however when placed under pressure shortly after straightening, failed to respond to his riding. He further added that, in his opinion, DULACCA DIVA may not have backed up from its previous win on Saturday, 10 June. The explanation was noted.

Race 5: Recruitment Queensland Gai Waterhouse F&M Classic – 1350m
1st – Hasta La Ciao Ciao 2nd – Really Flying 3rd – Romare 4th - Suubird

DIAMOND HAILEY was examined by the club’s veterinary surgeon prior to the start and cleared to race.

LILLABIDDY (J. Byrne) sprawled on jumping away, losing ground.

HALIBUT (M. Morris) jumped inwards at the start, making contact with CHARLIE CHEESE (R. Mason).

DIAMOND HAILEY (J. Holder) and HASTA LA CIAO CIAO (S. Katsidis) were slow to begin.

Near the 500m, HASTA LA CIAO CIAO shifted out and bumped KEPOLOA (A. Pattillo).


Race 6: City Pacific Finance Eye Liner Stakes – 1200m
1st – Impaler 2nd – Sir Breakfast 3rd – Shysu 4th – King Rex

TOP MARK (K. Pope) and SHYSU (J. Byrne) jumped away awkwardly.

Shortly after the start, CENTURY SERB (D. Nikolic) had to be steadied when tightened for room between IMPALER (P. Mertens) and SHYSU (J. Byrne), which shifted in.

Near the 1100m, CENTURY SERB (D. Nikolic) was forced to race in restricted room between IMPALER (P. Mertens) and PANZER (G. Colless), which was inclined to shift in and away from SIR BREAKFAST (M. Rodd).

J. Warrington, rider of COURT ADJOURNED, was found guilty of a charge of careless riding, in that near the 900m he allowed his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of BANABOLDA (K. Forrester), which was taken in on to TOP MARC (K. Pope), which in turn was taken in on to CLASSICONI (S. Seamer), which was severely crowded for room between TOP MARC and the rail, resulting in CLASSICONI having to be checked. J. Warrington was suspended from riding in races for a period covered by 9 meetings, to commence at midnight, 18 June, and to expire at midnight, 5 July 2006. J. Warrington was also fined the sum of $1000, such fine to be paid within 2 months.

Approaching the first turn, PROUDLY AGRO (J. Bowditch) commenced to hang out and did so for some distance.

CENTURY SERB was forced to race wide in the early stages.

PANZER, BANABOLDA (K. Forrester) and PROUDLY AGRO were forced to raced wide for the majority of the race.

Close to the finish line, IMPALER was disappointed for a run where there was doubtful room between PANZER and SIR BREAKFAST, which shifted out slightly.

A post race veterinary examination of CLASSICONI failed to reveal any abnormality.

Race 7: XXXX Gold Ipswich Cup – 2150m
1st – Sphenophyta 2nd – Rampant Lion 3rd – Motivate 4th – Lester Thunderwing

IRISH WARRIOR (J. Warrington) was slow to begin.

Approaching the 800m, HELLO POSSUMS (J. Holder) shifted out, forcing ARGYLE LASS (R. McMahon) 3 wide.

DOURO VALLEY (M. Cahill) raced wide throughout.


Race 8: Queensland Times Provincial Cup – 2150m
1st – Rapid Reason 2nd - Pappapo 3rd – Ears To Victory 4th – Leverage

CLANG EDITION was declared a late scratching at 8.52 a.m. on veterinary advice.

Following his ride in race 1, S. Galloway was examined by the club’s doctor and stood down from his remaining engagement on VEE ROD. J. Taylor was substituted as the rider of that mare.

Following his ride in race 6, D. Nikolic was examined by the club’s doctor and stood down from his engagement on LOUGHNAN. M. Cahill was substituted as the rider of that gelding.

OH RAW OH RAW (K. Pope), INITIALS (K. Forrester) IT’S THE VIBE (M. Palmer) were all tightened at the start between EARS TO VICTORY (A. Pattillo) and PEACEFL HONOUR (M. Morris), which shifted out.

VEE ROD (J. Taylor) jumped away awkwardly.

OSTRAS (J. Holder) was caught wide in the early stages.

Passing the 600m, WINEGROVE (R. McMahon) was momentarily tightened for room between RAPID REASON (B. Pengelly) and LEVERAGE, which shifted in slightly.

LEVERAGE (R. Mason) was forced to race wide for the majority of the event.
