RACE 1: RDT RECYCLING OPERATIONS F&M MAIDEN H’CAP – 1350M

MOSTLY LUCKY – Tightened for room shortly after the start.

LOCOMOTION – Began awkwardly. Raced greenly when placed under pressure in the home straight.

SASSY KAT – Overraced in the early stages and had to be steadied from heels.

BLESSINGS – Had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the home straight.

DANZER GIRL – Shifted in shortly after the start, making contact with another runner. B. Stewart was questioned regarding his riding of the mare over the concluding stages. Of particular concern to stewards was whether he had ridden his mount completely to the line. After viewing the video and hearing B. Stewart's explanation, stewards were satisfied that his actions had no bearing on the finishing position of his mount, however issued a reprimand and reminded him that he should ride his mounts in such a manner so as not to leave his riding open to question.

MAKA'S BLU GIRL – Tightened for room shortly after the start. Raced three wide without cover throughout. Hung out rounding the home turn.

HOW SWEET – A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

CZEBRAY – Tightened for room shortly after the start. Overraced in the early stages and had to be steadied from heels. Hung out rounding the home turn. Rider S. Drake's whip became entangled in the reins from leaving the 300m until inside the 100m, resulting in her being unable to fully test her mount.

RACE 2: KENDA TYRES C,G&E MAIDEN H’CAP – 1350M

BENTLES – Lost its near fore plate in running.

RAKU – When questioned regarding the disappointing performance, trainer B. Hull explained that he was very disappointed with the gelding's performance and in view of this it is now the intention that RAKU be retired from racing. Should RAKU continue racing, the gelding will be barred from provincial TAB meetings until such time as its form improves.

SIR ALBERT – Stood flat-footed at the start and lost considerable ground. Connections were advised that a warning would be placed on the horse's barrier manners. Rider C. Whiteley was reprimanded for using the whip in a forehand manner more than 5 times prior to the 100m.

FREDRIKSEN – Shifted in shortly after the start, became awkward on the heels of another runner and had to be steadied. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to be lame in the off foreleg. Trainer B. Guy was advised that he must produce a veterinary clearance prior to the horse being permitted to race again.

ENEMY'S DEFEATED – Slow to begin.

HOMBROM BLUFF – Raced greenly in the home straight.

RACE 3: CGU INSURANCE RATINGS BAND 0-70 H’CAP – 1020M

BLOODED – Began awkwardly with its head in the air and lost considerable ground.

ROMBA TOM – Shifted out under pressure in the home straight.

DARLIN' JULES – Had to be steadied when racing in restricted room near the 800m.

DON'T TELL CYRIL – Raced wide in the early stages. Shifted in slightly near the 600m.

SPINHRO – Hung in and away from another runner near the 800m. Had to be steadied when crowded for room between runners leaving the 600m.

RACE 4: BESTMARK INSURANCE BROKERS F&M CLASS 1 H’CAP – 1200M

Stewards accepted the explanation tendered by trainer B. Guy for the late declaration of S. Fawke as the rider of PEARLY COURT.

SLEEP TIGHT – Appeared to falter near the 100m and shifted out, inconveniencing another runner. The horse was restrained at this point, with jockey T. Bell dismounting on pulling up. After returning to the enclosure SLEEP TIGHT underwent a full veterinary examination which failed to reveal any abnormalities. Trainer S. O'Dea advised that he would have a further veterinary examination conducted in coming days, the results of which he will report to stewards. Mr O'Dea was advised that pending any further information, he will be required to produce a veterinary clearance for SLEEP TIGHT and the filly must trial satisfactorily prior to being permitted to race again.

SHATTERING – Slow to begin. Had to be steadied and shift wider near the 100m when another runner faltered.

PEARLY COURT – Began awkwardly and shifted out on jumping.

REFUSTRESS – Initially slow to begin, then further inconvenienced by another runner and lost ground.

HAVEN ANGEL – Disappointed for a run between runners near the 400m.

RACE 5: IPSWICH CUP TICKETS ON SALE SOON CLASS 3 PLATE – 1700M

LEPRECHAUN LAD – Began awkwardly. Overraced in the early and middle stages. Apprentice L Tilley was reprimanded for using the whip in consecutive strides prior to the 100m.

WIND DANCER – Trainer B. Hull advised that the intention would be to have the horse ridden in a forward position if circumstances permit. Improved on to heels and shifted wider on the track leaving the 1300m and was then allowed to improve forward before obtaining the lead approaching the 800m.

DELNIELLO – Slow to begin.

PERISHA – Slow to begin. Hung in when placed under pressure in the home straight.

GOWAN BRAE – Held up for clear running from leaving the 500m until approaching the 200m.

RACE 6: XXXX SUMMER BRIGHT LAGER CLASS 2 H’CAP – 1350M

SENGLEA SUN – Shortly after the start overraced at the heels of another runner for some distance. Shifted out under pressure in the home straight. Rider dropped his whip leaving the 100m.

OUTBACK CARLSON – Shifted out near the 300m and made contact with the hind quarters of another runner. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

SHE'S A DANICA – Began awkwardly and lost ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

RHAEGO – Began awkwardly and shifted in, making contact with another runner. Raced wide for the majority of the event.

FINNOMONY – Blundered badly on jumping. Bumped near the 300m and became unbalanced.

TRUE PRINCE – Bumped at the start.

RACE 7: DRINK SIRROMET LOVE THIS VALENTINES C,G&E CLASS 1 H’CAP – 1200M

The start of this race was delayed when NADOR, which shifted its near fore plate, required farrier attention behind the barriers.

CAVU – Hung out near the 500m and had to be steadied off heels. Raced greenly in the home straight and had to be steadied on a number of occasions.

CALEDONIA'S CALL – Slow to begin. Had a tendency to hang out throughout the race and as a result raced wide. Trainer T. Sears was advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding's racing manners.

TRIPLE JEOPARDY – Slow to begin.

FELTON PHANTOM – Became unbalanced leaving the 200m and had to be steadied.
