SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTS

From Sunshine Coast 28.3.16 – Race 4: Trainer G. Heinrich advised that a veterinary examination of FRENCH CHARM following the race had failed to reveal any abnormalities and that the filly had pulled up well following its disappointing performance.

From Beaudesert 29.3.16 – Race 6: Trainer Ms D. Duryea had agreed with apprentice B. Appo's comments that KATELETTE had failed to handle the step up in distance. Ms Duryea was also of the opinion that the mare had come to the end of its current campaign and as such would now be sent for a spell.

RACE 1: CHANNEL 7 QTIS 3YO CLASS 3 PLATE – 1666M

MAJOR APPROVAL – Lost its off fore plate in running.

TIME TO TORQUE – Slow to begin.

ROSADOR – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Steadied near the 400m when awkwardly placed close to heels.

RACE 2: SKY RACING F&M MAIDEN PLATE – 1200M

MISS JAMAICA – A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse had a slow recovery rate and was showing signs of slight heat stress.

OFCOURSE SHE DOES – Began awkwardly.

COUNTING CARDS – Began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped another runner.

ELITE FORCE – Bumped at the start. Apprentice C. Dell reported to stewards that in his opinion the filly may have resented the addition of a tongue tie and that he had recommended to connections to remove that gear for the horse's next start.

RACE 3: QUEENSLAND TIMES 2YO MAIDEN PLATE – 1100M

CAPTAIN DODGE – Bumped at the start. Caught wide in the early stages and was allowed to stride forward and cross to race outside the lead near the 800m.

EL SHADAY – Bumped at the start.

RULER'S PRIDE – Shifted out shortly after the start and bumped another runner.

SHADOW BOLT – Slow to begin and then hampered by another runner.

CAPTAIN'S ANGEL – Shifted out abruptly at the start. Raced in restricted room rounding the home turn due to MONEY TALK shifting out slightly.

CROSSING THE TEE – Hampered shortly after the start.

MISHANI SILVA – Slow to begin.

PEKING ROAD – Bumped at the start.

STRIDE OF PRIDE – Shifted out at the start and made contact with another runner. Commenced to hang out badly from the 600m and made the home turn extremely wide. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Trainer G. Schwenke was advised the horse will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial prior to being permitted to race again.

ANOTHER SLIPPER – Raced three wide without cover.

As B. Stewart was stood down from his remaining engagements by the paramedics following this event, riding replacements were made as per the Stewards Race Day Summary.

RACE 4: SIRROMET CLASS 3 PLATE – 1200M

BEAUDRAGON – Began awkwardly and was then tightened for room between runners.

CUSHY NUMBER – T. Harrison was reprimanded for using the whip more than 5 times prior to the 100m.

I LIKE CANDY – Shifted in abruptly at the start. Overraced in the early stages when being restrained.

RACE 5: SCHWEPPES C,G&E MAIDEN PLATE – 1200M

Trainer K. Kemp was fined $100 for the late rider declaration of J. Oliver as the rider of ROBERTSON QUAY

FYNNSTAR – Overraced in the early stages and had to be restrained from heels near the 800m.

PRIMUS INVICTUS – Had to be shifted back in to obtain clear running after being awkwardly placed at heels rounding the home turn.

ARROGANT BOY – Lost its near fore plate in running.

BROOKE EXPRESS – Stood flat-footed at the start and lost ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

ROBERTSON QUAY – Raced three wide throughout.

SKY HEART – Began awkwardly.

SUNNY FAME – Overraced in the early stages. Was awkwardly placed close to heels rounding the home turn.

RACE 6: RAY WHITE RATINGS BAND 0-60 H’CAP – 1666M

FLITERO – Raced in restricted room for the major part of the home straight and was unable to be properly tested.

SUITS US – Bounded at the start and lost significant ground. Trainer L. Paton was advised that a warning would be placed on the horse's barrier manners.

SLALOM – Reared at the start and lost ground.

RACE 7: ENTIRE GROUP CLASS 4 H’CAP – 1350M

As apprentice M. McGillivray had taken ill after weighing out and was stood down by paramedics, S. Fawke was substituted as the rider of FLYING CHARGER.

BORIS BADENOV – Began awkwardly and shifted out.

HIT THE ROAD JACK – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Raced wide throughout.

LOCEANO – As the near hind plate was unable to be refitted behind the barriers, the off hind plate was removed and the horse raced without hind plates.

FLYING CHARGER – Hampered shortly after the start. Raced in restricted room rounding the home turn and in the early part of the home straight. S. Fawke reported to stewards that it was not his intention to race as far back today, however after receiving slight interference shortly after the start, his mount settled further back in the field than he had anticipated.

STONE IN HIS SHOE – Raced three wide without cover.

HARADIFY – Raced wide throughout.
