RACE 1: Melbourne Cup Luncheon At ITC Colts, Geldings & Entires Class 2 H'Cap – 1000m
 
MADIBA – Trainer T. Gollan advised the horse would be ridden off the pace today if circumstances permit.  The horse was ridden accordingly.
 
BEARSKIN – Began awkwardly and then failed to muster early speed.  Near the 900m was forced to check to avoid the heels of DADDY LONGLEGS, which shifted in when not fully clear.  Jockey S. Bogenhuber (DADDY LONGLEGS) was reprimanded for this incident. 
 
DADDY LONGLEGS -  A post race veterinary examination of the gelding revealed a laceration to the near hind leg consistent with being galloped on.

 
RACE 2: Book Your Melbourne Cup Function Fillies & Mares Class 2 H’Cap – 1000m
 
MAJELLA MAGIC – Began awkwardly making contact with another runner.  Raced wide throughout.
 
SWEET REPEAT – Bumped at the start.  Passing the 700m improved onto heels and then raced ungenerously for a short distance while being restrained.
 
LADY MACAN – Began awkwardly.
CHILDHOOD SECRET – Laid in under pressure in the straight.
 
LIESL LASS – Near the 200m was disappointed for a run and forced to shift out in an endeavour to obtain clear running.
 
MAGIC LOVE – Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
 
 
RACE 3: November 1 Sumptuous Buffet Maiden SW Plate – 1666m
 
RAUCOUS – Slow to begin.
 
MIAZUMI – Overraced in the early stages of the event.
 
PINOLINO – Raced greenly when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
SWEET RED WINE – A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have bled from both nostrils.  Trainer D. Forster was advised that the gelding will now incur a mandatory 3 month ban and must gallop satisfactorily over 1000m in the presence of a steward prior to racing again.
 
 
RACE 4: Book Your Function Now Maiden H'Cap – 1200m
 
BIDZIIL – Slow to begin.  Steadied from heels leaving the 800m and again approaching the 400m.
 
REAL NINA – Slow to begin.  Laid in under pressure in the straight and approaching the 100m when being straightened by its rider shifted out abruptly.
 
CULOTTES – Slow to begin.
 
KING OF THE CASTLE – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
ROCK 'N' RHUMBA – Raced wide throughout.
 
OLYMPIC PRINCE- On returning to scale App T. Brooker reported the gelding had a tendency to lay out at various stages during the event.
 
 
RACE 5: Weddings, Parties, Anything At ITC Benchmark 75 H'Cap – 1666m
 
GOOD JOB BRO – Began awkwardly.
 
EXTRASAY – Laid out rounding the home turn.
 
DOUSAICHI – Raced wide without cover throughout.  On return to scale jockey J. Morris reported his mount was not suited by the firm racing surface today.
 
BERNITCHY – Lost a near hind plate in running.
 
RACE 6: Christmas Functions At ITC Class 4 H'Cap – 1200m
 
ENDLESS PUZZLE – Buffeted at the start and lost ground.
 
LOFN – Shifted out at the start making contact with another runner.
 
SEQUALEX – Bumped on the hind quarters on jumping away and became unbalanced.  After being caught wide in the early stages was allowed to stride forward to obtain a position outside the leader near the 700m.  Rounding the home turn laid out when commencing to weaken and shifted wider on the track.
 
CASINO EXPRESS – Overraced in the early stages.
 
LORD LONHRO – Laid out rounding the home turn and in the early stages of the home straight.
 
 
RACE 7: Book Now For Festive Buffet Class 5 H’Cap – 1350m
 
PRUSSIAN HEART – Which was having its first start since May 2015, was examined by the veterinary surgeon prior to the start and passed fit start.  Lost an off hind plate in running.
 
ANECDOTE – Began awkwardly and lost ground.  Rounding the home turn held up and forced to steady to avoid heels.
 
DON'TCRYARGENTINA – Slow to muster early speed.
 
YABA DABL DOYA -  After being caught wide in the early stages was ridden forward to obtain a position outside the leader near the 700m.  Lost a near hind plate in running.
 
NEUSCHWANSTEIN – Raced in restricted room for a short distance near the 700m.
 
BELFLYER – Held up from the early stages of the home straight until near the 200m and again over the concluding stages.
 
VA VA VENI – Raced wide throughout.
