Stafford reported that MAGICIANNS SECRET returned to scale with its tongue over the bit and he would now experiment with the addition of a tongue tie to the horsees gear. GENERAL As P. Hammersley was indisposed due to injury stewards permitted rider changes as per the Stewards Race Day Summary. Race 1: Channel 7 Class 4 HHCap 1666m App J. Guthmann-Chester the rider of WINNING ACCORD was fined $200 for failing to claim his full allowance. MONTRER DAME Slow to begin.. Had difficulty securing clear running for some distance passing the 700m.. In the early stages of the home straight when attempting to secure clear running bumped GREAT MOGHUL. WINNING ACCORD Raced keenly in the early stages. GREAT MOGHUL Bumped in the early stages of the home straight.. On return to scale jockey M. McGillivray reported his horse was inclined to lay in for the majority of the event. CATENACCIO A post race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be lame in the near fore leg.. Trainer R. Heathcote was advised that a veterinary clearance will be required prior to the mare racing again. Race 2: City Of Ipswich Fillies & Mares Class 3 HHCap 1200m SOL WITNESS Had to be eased when placed in restricted room shortly after the start. NOW YOU SEE Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight. SHEEZALADY Lost an off fore plate in running. Race 3: Schweppes Colts, Geldings & Entires Class 3 HHCap 1200m IGNITE THE LIGHT Near the 800m was tightened for room and eased when racing between SI SI SEQUALO, which shifted out marginally and BREAK TIME, which shifted in when not fully clear.. Jockey M. Pegus (BREAK TIME) was advised to exercise more care.. When racing keenly was forced to steady from heels for some distance passing the 700m.> Race 4: Sky Thoroughbred Central Maiden SW Plate 1666m>MAKING SHADOWS Trainer L. Birchley advised the horse, which led last start, would be ridden with cover today. The horse settled midfield. DEWEY BLUES After being caught wide in the early stages was allowed to stride forward to obtain a position outside the leader leaving the 900m. RAHDANE Raced greenly in the home straight. MARK MY WORD Raced 3 wide without cover for the majority. GOLDEN COMMAND Raced wide throughout. Race 5: XXXX Summer QTIS 3YO Benchmark 65 HHCap 1000m MISHANI WRANGLER Bumped at the start. RIVER FLYER Tightened for room and had to be eased shortly after the start.. Held up rounding the home turn and had difficulty securing clear running in the early stages of the home straight. Race 6: Sirromet Maiden HHCap 1200m DESK POP Stood flatfooted at the start and lost considerable ground.. Trainer S. Shultz was advised that the gelding will be required to obtain a further barrier certificate prior to racing again.. Ms Shultz advised that in light of todayys performance it is her intention to retire the gelding.CORNFORTH Tightened for room at the start.. Cast an off fore plate in running. INSTANTANEOUS Began awkwardly. MISHANI RAINMAN Tightened for room at the start and lost ground. SAGAJET After being caught wide in the early stages was ridden forward by its rider to obtain a position outside the leader passing the 800m.. Passing the 100m when weakening was bumped by another runner and became unbalanced. MIDLAKE Approaching the 100m improved onto the heels of another runner and a short distance later shifted in to secure clear running and in doing so bumped another runner. Race 7: Ray White Ipswich Class 2 HHCap 1350m KERMANDIE STAR Slow to begin.. Near the 700m improved onto heels and had to be steadied.. Near the 400m was placed in restricted room and had to be eased when NELUMBO shifted in when not completely clear. CASINO GOLD Bumped at the start and lost ground. NELUMBO Raced in restricted room in the early stages and as a result lost ground.. Shortly after straightening improved onto the heels of another runner and as a result shifted out abruptly and became unbalanced. CORDER In the early stages of the home straight whilst weakening was bumped by another runner. COUNT CUMANI In the early stages of the home straight shifted out to secure clear running and in doing so bumped another runner. ROCKET ON BOARD For some distance passing the 200m was held up for clear running and unable to improve until leaving the 100m. LEFKAS ISLAND Raced wide for the majority. Race 8: Grandview Stud Class 1 HHCap 1666m ARAKAIN was declared a late scratching at 7.36 a.m. acting on veterinary advice. PERCIVALL POTT was declared a late scratching at 1.47 p.m. acting on veterinary advice after being found to be lame in the near fore leg.. Trainer G. Duncan was advised that a veterinary clearance must be produced prior to the gelding racing again. REDHAZE In the early stages when racing keenly raced in restricted room and had to be eased.. Bumped by another runner shortly after turning for home. NAYTELLRHI MISS Near the 1100m had to be steadied from heels. ROCKY HALO Laid out rounding the home turn. TOBACCO ROAD Laid out rounding the home turn. FINEST SAILING Bumped by another runner shortly after turning for home.. Raced wide for the majority of the event. SICARIO On returning to scale App A. Sewell reported his intention was to ride SICARIO in a midfield position today however, after being caught wide in the early stages he elected to stride forward to obtain a leading position near the 1400m. YALLAROI On returning to scale jockey J. Lloyd could offer no explanation for the below market performance of YALLAROI other than the gelding was stepping up out of a maiden grade for todayys event and may also appreciate softer track conditions.
