SUPPLEMENTARY
 
As P. Hammersley was unable to fulfil his riding engagements in races 4 and 5 due to being overweight stewards permitted rider changes as per the Stewards Race Day Summary. Jockey Hammersley was subsequently fined $300.
 
 
RACE 1: RAY WHITE IPSWICH BenchMark 75 Handicap – 1350m
 
KHALEESI – Trainer B. Brown advised the horse would be ridden more forward if circumstances permit. The horse was ridden accordingly. A post race veterinary examination of the mare, which weakened in the home straight, revealed it to have a poor post race recovery.
 
BLUEBROOK – Slow into stride.
 
BERGERAC – Slow into stride.
 
SEDUCTIVE DREAM – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
DAPPER ONE – Raced four wide without cover throughout.
 
RIDEONABIGJETPLANE – Raced five wide without cover throughout.
 
PEGAPUS – Raced three wide with cover throughout.
BETTABET RED – Raced four wide with cover throughout.
 
 
RACE 2: CARLTON & UNITED BREWERY IPSWICH MILE BenchMark 80 Handicap – 1666m
 
KASHARN – Underwent a veterinary examination after being kicked in the near side shoulder whilst parading behind the barriers and deemed suitable to race. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
TUCANO – Began very awkwardly.
 
EXPLOSIVE ONE – Bumped at the start and was slow to muster speed.
 
REALING – Slow into stride.
 
CONGELATOR – Caught racing three wide without cover early and was allowed to stride forward to eventually race outside the lead near the 1000m.
 
SABKHAT – Held up from the 400m until obtaining clear running after the 200m.
 
 
RACE 3: SIRROMET BUNDAMBA PLATE QTIS 2YO Handicap – 1100m
 
TULLIO – Slow into stride. Overraced in the early stages.
 
UNCONDITIONAL – Began awkwardly.
 
WANNA BLUE – Began awkwardly.
 
LOVE STRUCK – Bumped at the start.
 
HARD CORE – Inconvenienced when crowded for room shortly after the start.
 
PERFECT AIM – Bumped shortly after the start.
 
SPENDING MY TIME – Steadied when inconvenienced shortly after the start.
 
HOLDIN MY OWN – Raced four wide without cover before eventually getting three wide near the 700m.
 
SPOT ON SPUD – Inconvenienced and taken wider near the 100m. Further inconvenienced near the 50m when THE FIRE TRAP shifted out abruptly.
 
 
 
 
 
RACE 4: QUEENSLAND TIMES CUP WINTER PROV. STAYERS (FINAL) BenchMark 80 Handicap – 2150m
 
Trainer T. Gollan was fined $100 for the late declaration of J. Bayliss as the rider of HIGH WIND.
 
KING MAX – Hampered after being bumped heavily at the start.
 
HIGH DEGREE – Jumped awkwardly.
 
BENICOS PRINCE – Slow into stride. Near the 1600m was checked when crowded by POP N SCOTCH, which shifted in despite the efforts of its rider and  as a result BENICOS PRINCE struck the fence and was checked.
 
HIGH WIND – At the winning post on the first occasion when racing in restricted room had to be steadied from the heels of KING MAX, which shifted in slightly. Improved from the 900m and raced three wide without cover thereafter.
 
CALYPSO BAY – Inconvenienced due to interference which occurred to its inside near the 1600m.
 
SHOTACROSS THE BOW - Inconvenienced due to interference which occurred to its inside near the 1600m.
 
STRIKE SIKA – Jockey L. Tarrant explained that from the 1000m he was concerned with the action of the horse and was of the view that there may be something amiss and for this reason he commenced to ease it down from the 600m. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be slightly sore in both front fetlocks.
 
I FEEL GOOD – Jockey M. Hellyer reported that at the geldings previous start at the Sunshine Coast it failed to handle the heavy track conditions.
 
 
RACE 5: SCHWEPPES TL COONEY QTIS 3YO Handicap – 1100m
 
Stewards considered an objection lodged by B. El-Issa the rider of WARFACE which finished fifth against BOLD XAVVI (R. Wiggins) being declared fourth alleging interference near the 200m. After hearing evidence from all parties stewards were of the view that near the 200m BOLD XAVVI shifted out a one horse width resulting in WARFACE being slightly inconvenienced. Whilst stewards were of the view there was slight interference caused to WARFACE they were not of the opinion that the interference warranted a reversal of the placings and therefore the protest was dismissed.
 
MISHANI ELECTRA – Slow to begin.
 
SEE ME ROCK – Slow to begin.
 
SOLO MELODY – Began awkwardly.
 
DON’T LEAVE  ME OUT – Began awkwardly.
ENTERPRISE MARCH – Examined on arrival after trainer M. Lakey advised the gelding was fractious when being transported to the course and was cleared to race. Bumped at the start. Raced three wide with cover throughout.
 
UNLIKELY STORY – Inside the 200m had to be steadied when crowded for room by BLACK CHILLI, which shifted in. Jockey D. Yendall (BLACK CHILLI) was reprimanded and advised to exercise more care.
 
BOLD XAVVI – Near the 50m checked to avoid heels. Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
BLACK CHILLI – Raced three wide with cover throughout.
 
Jockey J. Lloyd (ENVY OF ALL) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under AR137(a) in that near the 50m he permitted his mount to shift in whilst riding it along with the whip when insufficiently clear of BOLD XAVVI. Jockey Lloyds licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of eight (8) days to commence midnight 23 June 2018 and expire midnight 1 July 2018.
 
 
RACE 6: UBET Class 6 Plate – 1200m
 
After being boxed PRIORITISE kicked out and got its hind leg through the back gate sustaining lacerations. PRIORITISE was removed from its stall, examined by the veterinary surgeon and deemed unfit to start and declared a late scratching at 2.39 p.m. All monies invested on PRIORITISE were ordered to be refunded. Deductions applicable to bets placed on the winner and placegetters prior to 2.39 p.m.:-
 
7 cents in the dollar for the win - #13 (OF THE DAY)
8 cents in the dollar for the place of winner - #13 (OF THE DAY)
8 cents in the dollar for second place - #6 (PERFECT DARE)
7 cents in the dollar for third place - #7 (RINGOS A ROCKSTAR)
 
PERFECT DARE – Examined behind the gates by the veterinary surgeon and passed fit to start. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the off fore fetlock. The stable was advised that a veterinary clearance will be required prior to the gelding racing again.
 
OINK – Hampered on jumping. Inconvenienced near the 200m due to interference ahead of it and from that point on was unable to be fully tested.
 
WILD N FAMOUS – Hampered on jumping.
 
RINGOS A ROCKSTAR – Overraced in the early stages.
 
MYSTICAL RENEGADE – Checked severely near the 200m when crowded for room by SWORD OF JUSTICE, which shifted in.
 
JETSONIC – Had difficulty obtaining clear running in the straight until the 100m.
 
PERFECT DARE – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
LAND OFFICE – Raced four wide without cover throughout.

MANIAS – Raced three wide with cover throughout.  A  post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the off hind leg. The stable was advised that a veterinary clearance must be produced prior to the gelding racing again.
 
OF THE DAY – Raced four wide with cover throughout.
 
App. T. Marshall (SWORD OF JUSTICE) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under AR137(a) in that he permitted his mount to shift in shortly after straightening near the 200m  across the running line of MYSTICAL RENEGADE. After this incident MYSTICAL RENEGADE then went to the line untested. App Marshalls licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of eleven (11) days to commence midnight 23 June 2018 and expire midnight 1 July 2018. In determining penalty stewards considered the interference to be in the midrange.
 
 
RACE 7: CHANNEL 7 IPSWICH CUP (Listed) – 2150m  
 
MY GIULIANO – Trainer C. Waller advised the horse will be ridden more forward in a handy position with cover if circumstances permit. The horse raced midfield.
 
SKUL DUGGERY – Slow to begin.
 
TRADESMAN – At the winning post on the first occasion was restrained to avoid the heels of FIRST CRUSH, which shifted in.  Jockey M. McGillivray (FIRST CRUSH) was reprimanded. Raced wide for the entire event.
 
SMART AS YOU THINK – Raced three wide with cover throughout.
 
SERGEANT BLAST – Lost an off hind plate in running.
 
 
RACE 8: CITY OF IPSWICH EYE LINER STAKES (Listed) – 1350m 
 
PRIVLAKA – Slow into stride.
 
RELIGIFY – Caught three wide early and allowed to stride forward to race outside the leader near the 800m.
 
COOLRING – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
MOST IMPORTANT – Raced three wide with cover throughout.
 
LUCKY HUSSLER – Jockey D. Yendall reported that gelding dipped at the 250m and again at the 200m.
 
 
RACE 9: SKY RACING GAI WATERHOUSE CLASSIC (Listed) – 1350m 
 
PEPPERANO – Jumped very awkwardly and lost ground.
 
A MIST OPPORTUNITY – Bumped heavily on jumping.
 
MALMOOSA – Slow into stride.
 
BOLD GYPSY – Held up rounding the home turn and in the early part of the straight until near the 200m.
 
RIVER RACER – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
