Tau Race 1: FOLLOW @IPSWICHTURFCLUB QTIS Two-Year-Old MaidenHandicap 1200 metres Due to several meeting cancellations, all race times were amended with Race 1 scheduled to run at 11.28am. BATTLEDANCE – Overraced in the middle stages. Momentarily steadied from the heels of MISHANI REBOUND near the 100m. BURNISH GOLD – Laid out under pressure in the home straight. Race 2: 295 SQUADRON QTIS Three-Year-Old BENCHMARK 65Handicap 1200 metres Race 2 amended to run at 12.03pm. OUR HOT FRIEND – Slow to muster early speed. Steadied shortly after the start when COMMIT TO SUCCESS was taken in by BARISTASISTA, which laid in. Rider J. Morris was reprimanded pursuant to AR132(5) in that he used his whip on 15 occasions in totality. COMMIT TO SUCCESS – Steadied from the heels of BARISTASISTA at the 1100m. Laid out rounding the home turn. LATE NIGHT DEVIL – Began awkwardly. Race 3: NATIONAL WORKFORCE Maiden Handicap 1200 metres Race 3 start time amended to 12.38pm. BETCHA BABY – Checked leaving the 850m. App. M. Castle, rider of HYPERION ANGEL was charged and pleaded guilty pursuant to AR131(a) in that leaving the 850m she shifted in when not sufficiently clear of BETCHA BABY, causing its rider to check and lose its position. Apprentice Castle’s license to ride in races was suspended for eight (8) days to commence midnight the 5th of December and expire on midnight the 13th of December. HYPERION ANGEL – Bounded as the start was effected. Steadied near the 100m when awkwardly placed at the heels of MAGNITUDO. McKEEGAN – A warning was placed on the gelding’s pre-race manners in that it proved difficult to leave the parade area. Race 4: RUGBY LEAGUE IPSWICH Maiden Handicap 1200 metres Race 4 start time amended to 1.13pm. ONE IN ALL - Raced keenly in the early stages. Approaching the 800m, steadied from the heels of DREAMFULLY. BURNE JONES – Began moderately. Reported his mount did not handle todays’ track conditions. GRACIOUS KNIGHT – Raced three wide throughout. IZARA’S DREAM – Slow to begin. Race 5: UNITED SPORTS CLUB Maiden Handicap 2150 metres Race 5 start time amended to 1.50pm PETRILLO (NZ) – Slow to begin. App. Z. Lloyd reported his saddle shifted in running, placing him at a disadvantage. Hampered in the early part of the straight when ROYAL GEORGE rolled out. THAT’LLDOTOO – Held up approaching the home turn. CURWOOD (NZ) – Tightened between runners on jumping. MR DUDWEY – Bumped on jumping and became unbalanced. A GLASS OF BUBBLES (NZ) – Slow to begin. ROYAL GEORGE – Began awkwardly and shifted out. Apprentice Castle was charged pursuant to AR132(7)(a)(ii) in that she used her whip seven (7) times prior to the 100m, two (2) more than permitted, and fined $500. SPIRITUAL – Began awkwardly and shifted in. Elected to improve three wide approaching the 1000m, then raced wide for the remainder. Race 6:CASH CONVERTERS IPSWICH BENCHMARK 58 Handicap 2500 metres Race 6 start time amended to 2.30pm. LINCOLN TOWN (NZ) – Had difficulty obtaining clear running between the 600m and the 400m. LIKEABEEL – Slow to begin. CHIEF COMMAND – Near the 1900m, CHIEF COMMAND was forced wider when STAR CENTRE shifted out after being tightened for room. Jockey Spinks then allowed his mount to stride and occupy a forward position. MOONLIGHT ECLIPSE – Pulled hard in the home straight the first time. Weakened over the concluding stages. App. J Cornish reported that in her opinion the gelding was not suited by today’s heavy track conditions. STAR CENTRE – Slow to begin. Inconvenienced and shifted away from the rail near the 1900m when SPACE IS DEEP (NZ) shifted in. App. S. Tomlinson was reprimanded pursuant to AR131(a) for this incident. OCTOBER JOY – When the pace steadied approaching the post for the first time, App. Patis allowed her mount to stride forward and reach the lead approaching the 1300m. DEEL OF FORTUNE – Tightened on jumping and lost ground. Race 7: TAB Class 3 Handicap 1666 metres Race 7 start time amended to 3.10pm. BOLD EXECUTIVE – Raced three wide throughout. ACCARDO – Began awkwardly. Laid in when placed under pressure over the final 200m. ENRIQUE – Began awkwardly. Performed below market expectations and failed to run on. Underwent a post race veterinary examination which revealed no significant abnormalities. ICE ELITE – Slow to begin. Held up approaching the home turn. OUR SPIDER – Raced three wide with cover in the early and middle stages. NUBE VIAJERA – Trainer advised of a change of tactics with the gelding to be ridden back in the field. Ridden accordingly. Began awkwardly. LIGHT OF ULURU – Slow to begin then bumped. Near the 800m, obliged to steady from the heels of ENRIQUE which rolled in. WAIKATO – Tightened between runners on jumping and then steadied. Race 8: RIVER 949FM BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 1200 metres Race 8 start time amended to 3.50pm. VIRTUOUS MISS – Jockey S. Galloway reported that his mount after travelling well did not let down in the straight as expected and proved disappointing. Jockey Galloway also added, that in his opinion, the mare may perform best at distances less than 1200m. Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight. ROYALIST – Jockey J. Morris accidently had his whip knocked from his hand near the 250m. DAY PERFORMER (NZ) – On jumping the nasal strip on the mare became detached. STATIC LIFT – Began awkwardly. Race 9: THE BARN FAMILY RESTAURANT SUMMER PROVINCIALSPRINT SERIES - HEAT BENCHMARK 1350 metres Race 9 start time amended to 4.30pm. BOLD ASSASSIN – Bumped near the 250m. EXCEED ROCK – When asked to comment regarding the gelding’s performance, jockey T. Marshall reported that after travelling well in the event, EXCEED ROCK did not finish off as well as expected and in his opinion, did not appreciate today’s wet track. JAKAMA – Dropped its head as the start was effected and lost ground. Held up approaching the home turn. Laid in in the straight and proved difficult to ride. RHYME TIME – Began awkwardly. WINTER RAIN – Shifted out near the 250m and bumped with BOLD ASSASSIN. ZOULOU DANCER – Raced three wide throughout. MISHANI CONMAN – Raced wide approaching the 800m then momentarily steadied from the heels of ABB ROY which was taken wider by EXCEED ROCK. Raced wide for the remainder. ESKDALE GIRL – Resaddled behind the barriers. ABB ROY – Raced three wide throughout. Race 10:EVENTS AT IEEC.COM.AU Class 1 Handicap1350 metres Race 10 start time amended to 5.10pm. GREEK STAR – Raced wide early. Dropped out sharply over the final 200m. Underwent a post race veterinary examination which revealed no abnormalities. BURGUNDY RULES – Disappointed for a run between BOLD PEDRO and PETRALIA near the 250m and obliged to steady. KISS MY MILLO – Raced three wide throughout. BOLD PEDRO – Approaching the home turn, when under hard riding was disappointed for a run between KISS MY MILLO and GREEK STAR, which rolled out slightly. Shortly thereafter, bumped with BURGUNDY RULES before obtaining clear running near the 200m. ABOVE RESERVE – Began very awkwardly and lost ground. Raced keenly from the 1200m and proved difficult to settle. PETRALIA – Raced three wide throughout. LORD OF THE DREAMZ – Raced three and four wide throughout.
