SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT
 
 
GENERAL
 
Stewards permitted the following over-weights at todays meeting:
 
Race 4- L Cassidy +1kg
 
 
Race 1: FOLLOW @IPSWICHTURFCLUB Maiden Plate 2190 metres
 
 
ROYAL GEORGE – Pulled hard in the early stages and raced 3 wide without cover from 1000m. Apprentice M Castle reported the gelding raced flat and disappointed when placed under pressure. Trainer L Gersekowski advised she would get a vet exam and tests done during the week and would report any significant findings.
 
OCEAN ROYALE (NZ) – A post-race Veterinary examination revealed the mare to have returned with upper respiratory noises. Trainer D Joice was advised that a Vet clearance certificate and a scope would be required before OCEAN ROYALE would be permitted to start in a race again.
 
OCEANARIUM (NZ) – Jumped away awkwardly and raced wide from the 1000m.
 
THE LOVE OF MARY – Near the 500m steadied off the heels of MR REDDINGTON which rolled in. Shifted out under pressure in the straight.
 
Race 2: IPSWICH CUP TIX ON SALE QTIS Two-Year-Old Maiden Handicap 1350 metres
 
HOLTERMANN – Jockey J Orman reported that the gelding never travelled well and in his opinion appeared not to handle the track conditions.
 
LOLA STAR – Slow to begin and reluctant to stride out in the early stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
 
 
Race 3: TAB VENUE MODE Maiden Handicap 1350 metres
 
SEA OF QI - Declared a late scratching on veterinary advice at 8:54am. Trainer T Timbery was advised the gelding would require a veterinary certificate of fitness prior to again being permitted to start in a race.
 
FRIDA’S TIME – Raced three wide without cover throughout. Hung out from 500m proving difficult to ride.
 
MASAWU – Became fractious in the tie up stall resulting in it shifting both hind plates and its near fore plate. The near fore was replated however due to the fractious nature of the horse both hind lates were removed and Stewards permitted the horse to race without plates on both hind legs.
 
CUE TO CONQUER – Raced ungenerously making the turn into the straight.
 
SHE WIZZ  – Near the 700m lost ground when steadied when monetarily crowded to the inside of CUE TO CONQUER which rolled in.
 
WAR WAGON – Slow to begin.
 
ATHLETIC ME – Slow to begin.
 
NEVER MORE POYSED – momentarily awkward on heels after being bumped shortly after the start.
 
 
Race 4: SIRROMET QTIS Three-Year-Old Maiden Handicap 1350 metres
 
MAGIC MIKEY (NZ) – Jockey T Harrison reported in her opinion that the gelding did not handle today’s track conditions.
 
OUR POLARIS – Jumped away awkwardly. Jockey R Maloney reported in his opinion that the gelding did not handle today’s track conditions.
 
 
SILVER GALAXY – Slow to begin. Inclined to lay in in the early part of the straight. A post Veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be displaying signs of the thumps.
 
COPPERCHINO – Jumped awkwardly and bumped on jumping. Hung outwards in the early stages.
 
LATE NIGHT DEVIL - Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
YES WE’RE READY – Jumped awkwardly inwards making contact with COPPERCHINO.
 
Race 5: SCHWEPPES OPEN Handicap 1100 metres
 
DESERT MAN – Raced keenly in the middle stages.
 
CHEZBLACK – Slow to begin after jumping away awkwardly.
 
BEAU IDEAL (GB) – Three wide without cover throughout.
 
GUNNOBE – Jumped away awkwardly.
 
SEE IT THRU - Jockey M Du Plessis reported in his opinion that the gelding did not handle today’s track conditions.
 
 
Race 6: GREAT NORTHERN Class 1 Handicap 1700 metres
 
 
THAT’LLDOTOO – Stood flat footed and lost considerable ground.
 
ROACCI – Slow to begin after jumping away awkwardly. Eased near the 1400m. On Inquiry it was established that near the 1400m AWARD KNIGHT had improved slightly to the inside SHOPPING WISE. Shortly after when the pace steadied slightly AWARD KNIGHT shifted in crowding ROACCI which lost ground. In this incident Stewards were of the opinion that no blame could be attributed to any rider and as such took no further action.

AWARD KNIGHT – Held up approaching the turn into the straight. Laid inwards in the straight.
 
KERCHARMER - Jumped away awkwardly.
 
STAR DIVA – Slow to begin after jumping away awkwardly. Had difficulty obtaining a run in the early part of the straight.
 
SAN BERNARDINO – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
 
 
 
 
 
Race 7: CORONA INFIELD FESTIVAL JUNE RATINGS BAND 0 - 58 Handicap 1200 metres
 
HERECUM DA DRUMS  – Slow to begin and held up in the early part of the straight.
 
MOSSERATI – Slow to begin and raced wide throughout.
 
NIC ME SOME – Laid inwards in the straight.
 
NO GOING BACK - Steadied near the 600m after becoming awkwardly placed on the heels of SENSHI SPIRIT.
 
PETITE PROMISE – Near the 1000m steadied off the heels of BOOM ROCKER which shifted in.
 
ROCK ON DESTINY – Slow to begin.
 
BOOM ROCKER – Eased near the 500 when racing tight between PETITE PROMISE and THAT’S A MIRACLE which rolled outwards and away from NO GOING BACK.
 
Race 8: BARN FAMILY RESTAURANT RATINGS BAND 0 - 65 Handicap 1350 metres
 
SISTER KATHLEEN – Raced wide throughout.
