Race 1: SIRROMET QTIS Three-Years-Old Maiden Plate 800 metres BOARDIE – Raced wide throughout. HIDDEN WEALTH – Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout. THE SNUGGLER – Raced wide throughout. WILLY EVER – Raced wide throughout. Raced greenly when placed under pressure in the home straight. MY DAY – Slow to begin. Raced greenly when placed under pressure in the home straight. SAND AND OCEAN – Slow to begin. SINGAPORE LADY – Laid out rounding the home turn. Shifted in when placed under pressure in the home straight. TAMSIN – Raced wide throughout. WISH I HAD – Near the 100m laid in when placed under pressure. Race 2: FOLLOW @IPSWICHTURFCLUB Maiden Handicap 1350 metres ONE COOL DEEL – Bumped at the start when SINGER SARGENT was taken outwards. A post-race veterinary examination revealed lameness in the off foreleg and signs of shin soreness in the near foreleg. Trainer S Ryan was advised the horse would require a veterinary clearance prior to its next race start. Connections indicated the horse would now likely be sent for a spell. SINGER SARGENT – After being slow to begin was then bumped by BEACHLEY BELLE and lost ground. MONEY BEAR – Near the 1000m, when over-racing, shifted out taking ENUNCIATION wider on the track for a short distance. SHORES OF GOLD – Raced wide from the 800m. BEACHLEY BELLE – Jumped out at the start and bumped SINGER SARGENT. Near the 150m obliged to alter course and shift outwards to obtain clear running. ENUNCIATION – Momentarily forced wider near the 1000m. Laid in under pressure in the home straight. SPRESSI – Raced ungenerously for a short distance when the pace eased near the 800m. Laid out rounding the home turn. Race 3: KINGSLEY LAWSON LAWYERS BM75 Handicap 1666 metres RELUCENT – Began awkwardly and lost ground. ZOFFANY'S LAD – Trainer G Allard was fined $100 under LR67(1) for the late declaration of rider on the horse. Change of tactics, to be ridden more forward. Ridden accordingly. Laid in rounding the home turn and again over the concluding stages of the event. GENERAL DUBAI – Jumped in at the start and bumped IN AGREEMENT. Shifted out under pressure in the early stages of the home straight. ALDERMAN – Jumped in at the start and bumped CALL ME LEGEND. Laid in under pressure in the early stages of the home straight. Rider T Brooker reported the horse raced keenly throughout the event and had a tendency to lay in at various stages of the event, adding that on pulling up the horse had its tongue over the bit. GENTLE PRINCE – Held up for clear running from the entrance to the home straight until a point near the 150m. MONTABOT – When asked to comment on the apparent improved performance trainer M Dunn advised although he was disappointed in the horse’s first up performance over an unsuitable distance, MONTABOT had pleased in its work leading up today’s race, adding the stable was confident of forward showing today with the step up in distance. SPIRIT'S CHARM – Over-raced in the early and middle stages of the event. Rider R Fradd recommended that going forward the horse may benefit from a change of bit. CALL ME LEGEND – Bumped at the start. Rider J Cornish reported the horse failed to muster speed in the early stages of the race, adding that in her opinion I AM LEGEND may not have appreciated today’s firmer track conditions. A post-race veterinary examination revealed lameness in the near foreleg. Trainer K Hickmott was advised the horse would require a veterinary clearance prior to its next race start. IN AGREEMENT – Jumped out at the start and bumped GENERAL DUBAI. Race 4: THE BARN FAMILY RESTAURANT QTIS Three-Years-Old Maiden Handicap 1200 metres MAMA'S MAN – Jumped in at the start. KING'S HALO – Taken out rounding the home turn. Raced wide for the majority of the event. Leaving the 300m shifted away from SHADYVALE STORM which laid out despite the efforts of its rider. SHADYVALE STORM – Raced wide for the majority of the event. Near the 300m laid out despite the efforts of its rider. Rider M Wishart reported the horse had a tendency to lay out at various stages of the event. BANANA SLIDE – Jumped out at the start and bumped SATURDAY GLORY. BLUE MERLE – Slow to begin. Eased out of the race from the 800m after rider S Thornton had concerns with the horse’s action. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer D Vandyke was advised BLUE MERLE must trial satisfactorily prior to its next race start. FOREBEARS – On arrival at the barriers the saddle on the horse was adjusted. JUKEBOX GLOW – Checked near the 350m. At a subsequent inquiry T Brooker, rider of IRISH MAUDE, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under AR131(a) in that near the 350m she permitted her mount to shift out around the heels of FOREBEARS, taking SHADYVALE STORM wider on the track, which in turn forced KING’S HALO out, which resulted in JUKEBOX GLOW being checked and losing ground. The licence of T Brooker to ride in races was suspended for a period of 10 days to commence midnight 6th November up to and including midnight 16th November 2022. Raced wide for the majority of the event. Leaving the 300m steadied away from the heels of KING’S HALO which shifted away from SHADYVALE STORM when that runner laid out despite the efforts of its rider. Raced wide for the majority of the event. SILVER PEARL – After being slow to begin, was then bumped and lost ground when MAMA’S MAN jumped in. TWYFORD – Raced keenly passing the 700m and was shifted wider on the track to improve. Bumped rounding the home turn. IRISH MAUDE – Steadied from the heelsof SILVER PEARL near the 300m. Stewards intend to inquire into this incident at a later date. Race 5: WINNING RUPERT AT GRANDVIEW Fillies and Mares BM65 Handicap 1350 metres DEVILLAIN was declared a late scratching at 1:10pm on Vet’s advice after sustaining a laceration to the offside hindquarter when being transported to the track. Trainer P Duff was advised the horse would require a veterinary clearance prior to its next race start. Prior to declaration of correct weight G Schwenke, trainer of second placegetter STRYKING PRINCESS, viewed the photo finish image for first place. After doing so correct weight was declared on the semaphored placings. DREAM SONG – Slow to begin. AFFOGATO GIRL – R Maloney, rider of AFFOGATO GIRL, was reprimanded under AR132(7)(a)(i) for two consecutive strikes of the whip prior to the 100m. SET ME UP – Jumped out at the start and bumped LUCKY BEAN on the hindquarters. LUCKY BEAN – Bumped on the hindquarters at the start and lost ground. Laid in under pressure in the home straight. I'M A FOXYGIRL – Change of tactics, to be ridden with cover. Ridden accordingly. SLICK HEELS – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Finished some distance from the main body of the field. Co-Trainer D Lane was advised a warning would be placed on the horse for a poor performance. Race 6: UNDER THE LOUVRE AT GRANDVIEW Colts, Geldings &Entires BM65 Handicap 1350 metres Correct weight was delayed allowing Stewards to confirm with judges the placings of #9 SIR PICCOLO 1st and dead heat for second between #1 STEINBRENNER and #6 EYE SHOOT TO WIN. STEINBRENNER – Slow to begin. Crowded for room and had to be steadied from the heels of STATIC LIFT near the 1100m. C Eaton, rider of STATIC LIFT, was reprimanded under AR131(a) for careless riding in this incident. Held up for clear running rounding the home turn. Raced in restricted over the final 50 metres. HARRYANDTHETIGER – Held up for clear running near the 200m and over the final 50m became awkwardly placed at the heels of RIVER ROCKET and was unable to be fully tested by its rider. RIVER ROCKET – Jumped out at the start and bumped EYE SHOOT TO WIN. Laid in under pressure over final 50 metres. BIGGIE – Raced in restricted over the final 50 metres. EYE SHOOT TO WIN – Jumped in at the start and bumped RIVER ROCKET. METAL ROCK – Change of tactics, to be ridden more forward. Ridden accordingly. KINKUNA – Began awkwardly and lost ground. SIR PICCOLO – At the start from the wide barrier was restrained to rearward position closer to the rails. Raced keenly near the 1000m and had to be steadied from the heels of HARRYAND THETIGER and the continued to race keenly for some distance thereafter. Race 7: WHITTINGTON AT GRANDVIEW 0 - 60 Handicap 800 metres GOOD GRAB – Jumped out at the start. Rider N Keal dropped his whip near the 50 metres. I AM FEARLESS – Slipped behind in the tie-up stalls, underwent a veterinary examination on arrival at the barriers and was cleared to start. Crowded at the start and lost ground. Laid out rounding the home turn. Raced wide for the majority of the event. TISANI EMPEROR – Raced in restricted room for a short distance at the entrance to the home straight. TROPICS – Laid in rounding the home turn. Raced wide for the majority of the event. POCKETROCKET – Slow to begin. MAH PRECIOUS – Eased down by its rider passing the 200m after the horse put in an awkward stride. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a respiratory issue. Co-Trainer M Sears was advised the horse would require a veterinary clearance including the results of an endoscopic examination. HAUNTED HOUSE – Taken out at the start and crowded I AM FEARLESS. LIVELY LASS – Raced wide for the majority of the event. GEOTIME – Slow to begin. Race 8: NEOREALISM AT GRANDVIEW Class 1 Handicap 1100 metres After being loaded into the barriers MOUNT PADRAO became cast in the barriers and suffered abrasions to both hind legs and subsequently declared a late scratching at 5:22pm on veterinary advice. On declaration of correct weight Stewards ordered all bets on MOUNT PADRAO refunded in full and the following deductions to apply: 1st HOLD ON HONEY – 0c win, 2c place2nd BOLD RANSOM – 6c place3rd SACRED OATH – 1c place Trainer B Costello was advised MOUNT PADRAO would require a barrier certificate prior to its next race or trial start. Apprentice O Kendall was examined by QAS staff and cleared of any injury. HOLD ON HONEY – Raced wide for the majority of the event. SACRED OATH – Rider R Maloney could offer no explanation for the disappointing performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. BOLD RANSOM – Slow to begin. SASSENAY – Rider C Eaton reported she felt the horse felt awkward in its action on pulling up. A post-race veterinary examination revealed lameness in the near foreleg. Trainer P KALINOWSKI was advised the horse would require a veterinary clearance prior to its next race start.
