GENERAL
 
Stewards permitted the following overweight allowances for today’s meeting:
Race 1: J. Orman + 1kg
Race 6: A. Mallyon + 1/2kg
 
Stewards permitted the late scratching of TOLKOWSKY engaged in Race 8 at 10:55am due to a veterinary issue. Stewards advised trainer B. Lockwood that a veterinary clearance is required prior to the gelding starting again.
 
As apprentice J. Lloyd was unable to claim his full allowance in Race 5 he was replaced by A. Thompson on LUCAMOUR. Apprentice J. Lloyd was fined $100 pursuant AR 143(14)(a)
 
 
Race 1: FOLLOW @IPSWICHTURFCLUB QTIS Three-Years-Old Maiden Plate 1350 metres
 
DARING DIEGO – Bumped at the start.
 
EVERCLEAR – Shifted in at the start and bumped another runner. Raced wide until approaching the 800m Gave ground over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
HOLY TROJAN
NORTHERN DECREE (NZ) – Raced wide until to the 600m.
 
PAIENBARA – Held up in the early stages of the home straight.
 
CHASSAGNE – Bumped at the start.
 
OUR PEBBLES – Raced wide throughout. Tired noticeably over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the filly to be lame in the near foreleg. Co-trainer W. Hulbert was advised that a veterinary clearance will be required prior to starting again. Mr Hulbert advised the filly would be sent for a spell.
 
SIBYLLA – Began awkwardly. Over-raced in the early stages.
 
Race 2: TAB Class 4 Handicap 1100 metres
 
LUSKIN HERO – Momentarily became awkward at the heels of STORM ATTACK approaching the home turn and was steadied.
 
CIRCULARITY – Raced wide until leaving the 700m.
 
DOCTOR TEEKAY – Checked from the heels of STORM ATTACK approaching the 800m when that runner shifted in and away from KEETA which was racing tight to its outside.
 
WUDDACUDDASHUDDA
 
KEETA – Raced wide until the 700m. Held up for clear running rounding the home turn and the early stages of the home straight.
 
STORM ATTACK – Laid out approaching the home turn.
 
 
Race 3: KINGSLEY LAWSON LAWYERS Maiden Plate 1100 metres
 
LITTLE VISTA – Began awkwardly and bumped heavily with SLICK SHOOTER and TIGER FOR LIFE. Commenced to over-race approaching the 900m and shifted three wide to improve outside the leader approaching the 500m.
 
SLICK SHOOTER – Bumped at the start. Awkwardly placed at heels approaching the 400m.
 
CASSIMIR – Began awkwardly.
 
KING KRYPTOS– Became awkwardly placed at the heels of another runner leaving the 800m and had to be steadied. Raced wide throughout.
 
YALLA – Raced wide. Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
TIGER FOR LIFE – Bumped heavily at the start by LITTLE VISTA and lost ground.
 
Race 4: SIRROMET Maiden Plate 1350 metres
 
AIRCRAFTMAN – Raced wide throughout. Laid out rounding the home turn.
 
FEELING TOFFY – Slow to begin. Improved onto the heels of a tiring runner in the early stages of the home straight had had to be steadied.
 
ITSA VARIATION – Momentarily placed in restricted room leaving the 500m when tiring and had to be steadied. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer B. Lineburg was advised that the gelding would be barred from metropolitan meetings until such time its provincial form improves.
 
STAR OF KINGS – Raced wide throughout.
 
TYSON'S FURY – Slow to begin and was then steadied from the heels of SOOBLAND and lost ground.
 
SHARP AND HOT – Began awkwardly.
 
SOOBLOND – Began awkwardly and shifted out.
 
VALENTINA EXPRESS – A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slight cough. Connections were advised a veterinary clearance inclusive of an endoscopic report would be required prior to racing again.
 
Race 5: GREAT NORTHERN BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 2150 metres
 
POPULIST – Approaching the winning post on the first occasion checked from the heels of LUCAMOUR which shifted in when insufficiently clear to do so. Apprentice A. Thompson the rider of LUCAMOUR pled guilty to a charge of careless riding pursuant to AR 131(a) and had his licence to ride in races for a period of 8 days to commence midnight 16/1/2022 up to and including midnight 24/11/22. Apprentice A. Thompson was advised of his right to internal review. Made the turn out of the home straight on the first occasion very awkwardly and shifted outwards.
 
PAST TENSE – Slow to begin.
 
MT MORT SHARK (NZ) – Began awkwardly.
 
LUCAMOUR – Laid in under pressure over the concluding the stages.
 
Race 6: SCHWEPPES BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 1200 metres
 
On return to scale a protest was lodged by rider B. Thompson the rider of BAD EDUCATION placed 2nd by the judge against KOSCIUSKO placed 1st alleging interference shortly after the start. After taking evidence from all connection’s stewards could not be comfortably satisfied that interference suffered to BAD EDUCATION bearing were the incident took place and the margin between both runners at the finish was sufficient enough to uphold the protest and dismissed the protest declaring correct weight on the judges’ numbers.
 
KOSCIUSKO – Shifted in shortly after start and
 
LAURIE - Held up rounding the home turn.
 
RISING STAR – Required farrier attention to the off-hind plate prior to leaving the enclosure. Raced wide throughout.
 
SACCA – Taken inwards shortly after the start by KOSCIUSKO. Awkwardly placed at heels at the 1100m and had to be steadied. Raced wide throughout.
 
BAD EDUCATION – Began awkwardly and was then crowed for room between IN THE BLINK and LAURIE and had to be steadied. Obliged to shift wider in the home straight to secure clear running.
 
IN THE BLINK – Crowed for room shortly after the start.
 
Race 7: THE BARN FAMILY RESTAURANT Class 1 Handicap1350 metres
 
ISLA'S DAY – Over-raced in the early stages. Laid in under pressure over the final 200m and bumped with SOUNDS DEVINE on a number of occasions.
 
SOUNDS DIVINE – Slow to begin. Held up rounding the home turn and in the early stages of the home straight. Bumped by ISLA’S DAY on a number of occasions over the concluding stages.
 
TRY TO BE GOOD – Held up rounding the home turn.
 
Race 8: EVENTS @ IEEC.COM.AU RATINGS BAND 0 - 70 Handicap 1350 metres
 
XERRI – Began awkwardly.
 
AMERICANA MAGIC – Shifted outwards at the start. Held up rounding the home turn.
 
BUSHIDO – Began awkwardly. Raced keenly in the early stages.
 
DA PARTY GAL – Laid out rounding the home turn.
 
HE'S THE NEWS – Slow to begin. Over-raced in the early stages.
 
LIABILITY – Laid out approaching the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed
 
RAPIDO GRIS – Began awkwardly.
 
TO LOVE SOMEBODY – Began awkwardly. Raced wide from the 800m.
 
NOBLE BEAUTY – Hampered at the start. Raced wide until the 700m.
