Prior to the declaration of correct weight, Stewards considered an objection lodged by Jockey G. Cartwright, rider of the dead-heated first placed TOUTE SWEET, against KESALUL (B Thornton), the other dead-heat first placed runner, alleging interference in the home straight. Stewards, after hearing evidence from both parties and reviewing relevant footage, found that in the home straight, while KESALUL was inclined to lay out, subsequently taking TOUTE SWEET wider on the track, they were of the opinion that this incident was minor in nature and that jockey G. Cartwright, rider of TOUTE SWEET was able to fully test her mount out throughout in the home straight.
