SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT
 
From Eagle Farm 30th September Race 2 - ZELEZNY:  Trainer K Schweida reported the horse was examined by his stable Vet on Monday 2nd October and found to be shin sore and would now be sent for an immediate spell.
 
GENERAL
 
Stewards approved the following overweights.
Race 7 THANKFUL HEART - J Guthmann-Chester plus 1/2kg at 56kg.
 
As L Cassidy and M Du Plessis were not riding at the meeting due to illness, riding changes were made as per the Race Day Summary sheet. Both L Cassidy and M Du Plessis were advised they will require medical clearances prior to resuming race riding.
 
 
Race 1: THE SHED COMPANY CLASS 1 PLATE   2170 M
 
SOOBPURB DANCER – Began awkwardly. Lost both the off-hind and off-fore plate in running.
 
TUKI TWELVE – Brushed the rail leaving the home straight on the first occasion.
 
MISHANI SUPREME – Failed to respond to riding from the 500m and weakened noticeably in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to have bled from both nostrils for the first time. Trainer J Bellamy was advised under AR79(4) MISHANI SUPREME would be stood from racing 3 months and must gallop 1000m in the presence of a Steward prior to next racing   
 
 
Race 2: BNB COMMERCIAL PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT QTIS THREE-YEAR-OLD MAIDEN PLATE 1680 M
 
Correct weight was delayed allowing R Jamieson, rider of second placegetter LISSARO, to view the patrol footage rounding the home turn. After doing so correct weight was confirmed on the judge’s placings.
 
AUTUMN SHOW – When asked to comment B Wheeler could offer no explanation for the disappointing performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
 
CONQUISTADORES – When placed under pressure, shifted out rounding the home turn resulting in LISSARO being awkwardly placed at that runner’s heels. A Thompson, rider of CONQUISTADORES, was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.
 
FAMILY BONDING – When being restrained to obtain cover, over-raced for a short distance approaching the 1400m.
 
LISSARO (NZ) – Awkwardly placed on heels when held up rounding the home turn.
 
MAGIC OF MILLO – Raced keenly in the early and middle stages when leading the event. Rider G Goomany dropped his whip near the 300m.
 
POWER PACK – Over raced early and steadied from the heels MAGIC OF MILLO leaving the 1400m.
 
BUTTERFLY WINGS – Slow to begin.
 
 
Race 3: BOQ WINSTON GLADES CLASS 5 HANDICAP 1680 M
 
MONTABOT – Steadied from the heels of LUCKY DECISION (C J Graham) leaving the 500m when that runner rolled in under pressure. C J Graham was advised to exercise more care in similar ciurcumstances.
 
ALWAYS ON SHOW – Began awkwardly.
 
 
Race 4: PENNYWISE QTIS THREE-YEAR-OLD COLTS AND GELDINGS MAIDEN PLATE  1200 M
 
BEAULINE – Change of tactics, to be ridden further back in the field with cover. After racing keenly in the early stages settled towards the rear of the field with cover. Checked and forced wider approaching the 400m. At a subsequent inquiry R Dolan, rider of MAGIC MAC, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under AR131(a) in that approaching the 400m he permitted his mount to shift out when insufficiently clear of BEAULINE which was severely hampered and carried wider. LEMON SUPREME, which was following, was inconvenienced as a consequence. The licence of R Dolan to ride in races was suspended for a period of 10 days to commence midnight 7th October up to and including 17th October 2023.
 
BETTER BE BRIEF – Slow to begin.
 
LEMON SUPREME – Slow to begin.Inconvenienced near the 400m.Rider J Bayliss reported the horse was inclined to race greenly for the majority of the event.
 
MYSTIC MAC – Lost off hind plate in running.
 
NOBLE INTENT – Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
MEANASENKO – A Mallyon, rider of seventh placegetter MEANASENKO, will be reminded to ride his mount out to the end of the race. 
 
 
 
Race 5: BLONDIES POWDER COATING QTIS THREE-YEAR-OLD FILLIES MAIDEN PLATE 1200 M
 
BETATHANEVA – Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
LADY SHOTGUN – Slow to begin. Raced keenly for a short distance leaving the 900m and had to be steadied from the heels of BALLROOM BLITZ.
 
THE LAST FLASH – Slow to muster speed in the early stages.
 
TRY EVERYTHING – Jumped out at the start.
 
WHISKEY DANCER – Jumped in at the start.
 
YOU'LL NEVER GUESS – Checked at the start between TRY EVERYTHING, which jumped out and WHISKEY DANCER, which jumped in.
 
BALLROOM BLITZ – Near the 900m restrained from the heels of MISS SHA BLUE (D Thornton), which shifted in when not fully clear and then was awkward inside the heels of TRY EVERYTHING. D Thornton was advised to exercise more care.

 
 
Race 6: ROSE JENSEN KENT LAWYERS MAIDEN PLATE 1350 M
 
HOLY TROJAN – Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
PRIVATE MESSAGE – When placed under pressure in the home straight the saddle of J Lloyd shifted to the nearside resulting in PRIVATE MESSAGE being unable to be fully tested for the majority of the home straight and having to be steadied over the concluding stages of the event.
 
RUSSIAN SUB – Be gan awkwardly.
 
AMAZING JOURNEY – Declared a late scratching at 3:16pm on veterinary advice after the horse became very fractious in the tie-up stalls and was found not suitable to race.
 
RASHFORD – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
A CERTAIN MAYBE – Crowded between runners on jumping.
 
DEEP TIARA – Jumped away awkwardly and lost ground. Weakened from the 200m. When asked to comment rider D Thornton could offer no explanation for the disappointing performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
 
 
Race 7: VINCE INSURANCE RATINGS BAND 0 - 65 HANDICAP 1100 M
 
On arrival at the barriers HELIKEDMEPRETTY underwent a veterinary examination after contacting the enclosure gate moving onto the track and was subsequently declared a late scratching at 4:50pm after sustaining a laceration to the off-hind leg. On declaration of correct weight Stewards ordered all bets on HELIKEDMEPRETTY refunded in full and the following deductions to apply:
 
1st THANKFUL HEART – 2c win, 6c place
2nd RADIANT REMI – 4c place
3rd SHAPIN POWER – not applicable 
 
GROOVIN' THE MOO – Steadied from the heels of THANKFUL HEART (J Guthmann-Chester) which shifted in when not fully clear near the 1000m. J Guthmann-Chester was reprimanded under AR131(a) for careless riding in this incident.
 
SET TO SHINE – Near the 350m steadied and became unbalanced between GROOVIN THE MOO and SHAPIN POWER (D Thornton) which shifted out slightly before being straightened. This incident was accentuated due to SHAPIN POWER being turned out after making contact to the forequarters of SET TO SHINE. In the circumstances D Thornton was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.
 
RADIANT REMI – When asked to comment rider J Orman explainedafter being caught wide in the early stages he was obliged to settle further back in the field than anticipated and near the 600m was unable to improve when held up to the inside of SADDLE BOY.
 
 
 
Race 8: PRECINCT PLANNING BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 1350 M
 
AYTOBE – Slow to begin. Bumped and became unbalanced near the 100m.
 
EXPECTANT – Began awkwardly, shifted out andbumped MOKTAFFY.
 
MOKTAFFY – Bumped at the start and lost ground. For a short distance approaching the 200m disappointed for a run between BRASCO and AYTOBE and had to be steadied, and shortly after approaching the 100m bumped AYTOBE which became unbalanced.
 
FIGHTING IDOL – Lost off fore plate in running.
 
I AM TAKINGTHELOT – Rider A Jones dropped her whip approaching the winning post.
 
OUR RED PLANET – After beginning well and being caught wide in the early stages, rider S Collett reported she was obliged to lead the event when OUR RED PLANET was over-racing.
