SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT
From Eagle Farm 21.12.2024 - Stable representative for the C. Munce stable reported WALSH BAY (Race 5) would go for an immediate spell, and HEMAN (Race 10) had pulled up well and it was the intention to continue with the gelding’s preparation.

BONFIRE SPARK – Laid out round the home turn. Cast the off-hind plate in running.

TAKE A BOW – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Raced greenly in the home straight. When questioned, apprentice F. Sandkuhl explained she was asked to come out neutral on the filly and settle behind the speed, as at previous starts, TAKE A BOW had raced too keenly in the early stages. She said the filly was fractious in the gates, began awkwardly and settled at the rear of the field. She said that she did not wish to apply too much pressure in the early stages, as she was concerned that TAKE A BOW may again over race. She added that TAKE A BOW was inclined to lay out rounding the home turn, however, once balanced on straightening and under pressure, made good ground in the run to the winning post. Apprentice Sandkuhl was notified her riding in the early stages was of concern and she would be expected in similar situations to apply more pressure in the early and middle stages to ensure that her mounts were placed in a competitive position, and that would allow her better options after entering the home straight.

Race 4: IMPERIAL RACING CLASS 4 HANDICAP           1200 Metres

THE FIXER – Cast the off fore plate in running.

COMMAND APPROVED – When under pressure in the home straight, laid out.

Declaration of correct weight was delayed to allow apprentice J. Franklin, rider of fourth placegetter JUNGLE PRINCE, to view the available footage over the concluding stages, whereby ARAMINTA shifted in under pressure making contact with JUNGLE PRINCE taking that gelding in slightly. After viewing the footage, apprentice Franklin took the incident no further. Stewards also viewed the footage and agreed with the decision to not proceed with the matter.

A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery.
