Race 1: O’DELL PLUMBING/GOLDEN WEST HOTEL CLASS 5 HANDICAP - 1000 metres
 
LEROY ROCKS and ZAHA DREAM were both scratchings as there were no riders available.
 
GOWER – Jumped inwards contacting an inside runner.
 
HIDDEN ROAD – Stood flat footed, then bounded out of the gates losing considerable ground and travelled wide for much of the race.
 
NEVADA MO – Jumped away awkwardly and was contacted by another runner, then travelled wide for much of the race.
 
SPURSYN – Jumped away awkwardly and contacted an outside runner.
 
 
Race 2: PORTLAND DOWNS NAPCO QTIS MAIDEN PLATE - 1000 metres 
 
L. Dillon was the rider of ARE YOU REAL and permitted to ride the filly 3kg overweight.
 
D. Rewald was permitted to ride SALLY’S SHADOW 2kg overweight.
 
OUR BOY TIGGY and SENTIMENTAL MISS were both scratchings as there were no riders available.
 
EVERYONELOVESHARRY – Slow to begin and travelled wide from much of the race, then hung out the home turn.
 
THUNDER – Lunged at the gates prior to jumping.
 
POP GUN – Hung out around the home turn.
 
SALLY’S SHADOW – Jumped awkwardly bounding out of the gates.
 
Race 3: ISIS DOWNS CPC CLASS B HANDICAP - 1200 metres  
 
 
EVERYONELOVESHARRY was eliminated as the gelding had started in the previous race.
 
DURANT – Stood flat footed on jumping losing ground and travelled wide throughout. Trainer R. Simpson reported the gelding was sore and would be going for a spell now.
 
Race 4: MOORE CIVIL & PLANT HIRE / LANDMARK BLACKALL RATINGS BAND 0-55 HANDICAP - 1400 metres  
 
KULABA, STYLISH LUCK and ZAHA DREAM were all scratchings as there were no jockeys available.
 
MOQWAO – Slow to begin.
 
TABRIZ – Travelled wide for much of the race.
 
BAYSIDE BANDIT – Jockey S. Watkin stated the gelding felt sore and didn’t handle the track.
 
Race 5: ALLSTRONG LOCKSMITHS & SECURITIES / RAY WHITE BLACKALL ROSS CUP OPEN HANDICAP - 1400 metres      
 
J. Lait was the rider of HUNTER ISLAND.
 
OUR BEATNIK – Slow into stride.
