QUEENSLAND RACING INTEGRITY COMMISION STEWARDS REPORT ISISFORD RACE CLUB INCSATURDAY 07NOVEMBER 2020 WEATHER – FINE TRACK RATING – DIRT (4) RAIL – TRUE ENTIRE OFFICIALS Chairman of Stewards – Ms K. Hayden All horses that raced on Tuesday 3rd November underwent a pre-race veterinary inspection and were all cleared to start. Race 1: DENNIS O’BRIEN MEMORIAL QTIS MAIDEN PLATE - 1000 metres TEMPER TEMPER – Jumped away awkwardly and was slow to muster speed. TERRAJA – Slow to begin. INDENIAL – Hung out rounding the home turn. OSHUN – Travelled wide in the early and middle stages. Race 2: NAPCO PORTLAND DOWNS CLASS 6 PLATE - 1000 metres HAZAR – Travelled wide in the middle and latter stages and laid in under pressure over the concluding stages. BOINGO – Slow into stride then travelled wide throughout. ROSEXCEL –A post race veterinary inspection revealed the mare to be lame and had swelling in the offside fore tendon. Trainer H. Forster was advised a veterinary clearance would be required prior to the mare racing again. Race 3: ROAM AVIATION CLASS B HANDICAP - 1200 metres VIKING CLAP – Contacted at the start. Hard ridden for much of the race to maintain contact with the main group of horses. Jockey D. Rewald stating the gelding never travelled at any stage and was disappointing. A post-race veterinary inspection failed to reveal any abnormalities. STRIKE POINT – Jumped inwards contacting VIKING CLAP, travelled wide for much of the race and laid in down the home straight. CHEEKY CHOPS – Slow to muster speed then resented the dusty track conditions bounding for several strides and contacted the inside running rail near the 800m. BROOKVILLE – Travelled wide in the middle and latter stages. GRANVILLE ISLAND – Slow to muster speed and travelled wide for much of the race. Race 4: BARCOO PASTORAL AGENCIES BM 55 HANDICAP - 1400 metres HARVEST PRIDE – Slow to muster speed and travelled wide for much of the race. A post-race veterinary inspection revealed a minor abnormality to the nearside hind leg with trainer P. O’Toole advised to watch. SPARMAN – Laid in at the top of the straight contacting ON THE NIGHT SHIFT. Jockey D. Rewald pleaded guilty to a charge of excessively using his whip under AR132(5). He was suspended for a period of 7 days commencing midnight 14th Nov 2020 to midnight 21st Nov 2020. BALIUS – Slow to begin then travelled wide. Laid in under pressure down the home straight. Race 5: NUTRIEN WESTERN ROSS CUP OPEN HANDICAP - 1400 metres HEROISM – Slow to muster speed and travelled wide for much of the race. VAN WINKEL – Slow to muster speed. ARGENTO PERLO – Slow to begin and travelled wide for much of the race. CHIEF ADVOCATE – Underwent a prerace veterinary inspection after becoming agitated in the tie up stall earlier in the day and was cleared to race. RHYOLA – Slow to begin.
