RACE 1: ELROSE PLANT HIRE/ELDERS RURAL SERVICES BENCHMARK 50  H’CAP – 1350M
 
STAGE DANCER – Rider K. Rockett, was permitted to ride the mare ½kg over its allotted weight. Retired from the race leaving the 800m when the rider felt something was amiss. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. Trainer G. Tipping, was advised the mare must trial to the satisfaction of Stewards before being permitted to race again. 
 
PURFLEET PRINCESS – Rider T. Brummell was permitted to ride the mare ½kg over its allotted weight.
 
MISS ROSENBERG – Raced 3 wide without cover for the majority of the race.
 
BEST A MAN CAN GET – Crowded for room near the 1000m and was steadied.  Raced wide for the majority of the race.  
 
SPLASH OUT – Raced wide for the majority of the race.

RACE 2: JULIA CREEK HOTEL OPEN H’CAP – 1350M   
 
AVALANCHES – Slow to begin.
 
AUGUSTE – Slow into stride.  
HOLY GADOLEY – Raced 5 wide with out cover for the majority of the race. Lay in under pressure in the home straight.
 
WHAT THE HECK – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
WILL’S CHOICE – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
RACE 3: FM GRADER HIRE QTIS MAIDEN PLATE – 1200M
 
FAST BRASS – Slow to begin.
 
TRY BEFORE DUBAI – Slow to begin. 
 
SMILING MISTRESS – Raced 3 wide without cover for the majority of the race. 
 
ROCKET ELEMENT – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
OUTBACK ANDY – Disappointed for a run near 150m having to be steadied and shift wider to obtain clear running. 
 
 RACE 4:  McKINLAY SHIRE COUNCIL ARTESIAN EXPRESS CLASS 2 H’CAP – 1200M 
 
The start of this race was delayed when the ambulance officers were required to treat a member of the public who became ill.
 
DELTA MAGIC – Slow to begin.
 
VEGANER – Stood flatfooted and lost considerable ground. Trainer T. Parry was advised a warning would be placed on the gelding’s barrier manners.
 
A. Spradau, rider of ANCHOR CHAIN, returned to scale in excess of 1/2kg and was   fined the sum of $200.00.  
 
RACE 5: JOHNSON’S GRADER HIRE/REYEO LIVESTOCK TPT BENCHMARK 70 H’CAP – 1100M 
 
SMOOTH ELEMENT – Rider K. Ballard was dislodged on entering the course proper having a seemingly harmless fall and declaring himself free of injury and able to fulfil his engagement. On arrival at the barriers K. Ballard was examined by the ambulance officers and cleared to fulfil his engagement.
 
CHASING THE DRAGON – Slow to begin.
 
WILKER – Slow to begin.
 
SMOOTH GENERAL – Lay in under pressure in the home straight.
