QUEENSLAND RACING INTEGRITY COMMISSION STEWARDS REPORT JULIA CREEK TURF CLUB – Sunday 25th June, 2017 WEATHER – FINE TRACK – DIRT (GOOD) RAIL – IN TRUE POSITION OFFICIALSChairman of Stewards – R. Jones Race 1: YEO TRANSPORT/MCAULEY EARTHWORKS MAIDEN PLATE 1100m: ALIENATE – Was examined by the Veterinarian behind the barriers and was passed fit to start. GUACAMOLE - Had small amount of blood in mouth on returning to mounting yard. Veterinary examination revealed a small abrasion inside of mouth. SHE’S OBSESSED – Was reluctant to load into the barriers. Raced ungenerously early and was wide for the majority of the event. Race 2: ELROSE/ELDERS BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 1100m: LASTING IMAGE - Was a late withdrawal at 11.25am by order of Stewards when it refused to proceed to the barriers. Due to mitigating circumstances no action was taken against the horse. Prior to the declaration of correct weight Stewards ordered that all monies invested on LASTING IMAGE be refunded in full and further that all successful wagers placed on the event prior to the time of withdrawal be subject to deductions of 3 cents in the dollar win and 3 cents in the dollar place on the face value of the betting ticket. SONIC BOOMER – Was slowly into stride. CALDANE – Raced wide rounding the home turn. WILKER – Was slowly into stride. COUNTY BLEVIC – Raced ungenerously rounding the 800m turn. ALBERT THE ROCKET – Raced very wide rounding the 800m turn. BUSH LAWYER – Jockey K Ballard reported he raced in restricted room passing the 650m. CALDANE – Raced wide rounding the home turn. TUNING - Raced wide rounding the home turn. DIURNAL TIGER - Raced wide rounding the home turn. DAMGOODCHOICE - Raced wide rounding the home turn. Race 3: FM GRADER HIRE CLASS B HANDICAP 1200m: VEGANER – Raced wide rounding the 800m turn. SIRTIME - Raced wide for the majority of the event . PRINCESS TORIO - Raced wide rounding the home turn. Race 4: JOHNSON'S GRADER HIRE/JULIA CREEK TOP PUB BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP 1350m: ROCK SPARK – Was slowly into stride. ZATOCHIO – Was slowly into stride. NIGHT WOLF - Jumped out at the start. Raced wide from the 800m to the home turn. CLEVER ONE – Raced wide rounding the 800m turn. FRISCO JOURNEY – Raced wide rounding the 800m turn. MOSPORT – When questioned in relation to the seemingly disappointing performance of the gelding App D Graham advised that after being slowly away the gelding had failed to respond to her urgings throughout and, in her opinion, had failed to handle the track conditions. Race 5: - SOUTH 32 OPEN HANDICAP 1350m: WHAT THE HECK - Bumped with another runner on jumping. Raced wide rounding the home turn. NOOGOORA BURR - Bumped with another runner on jumping.
