Race 1. JULIA CREEK HOTEL (TOP PUB) GREAT NORTHERN MAIDEN PLATE 1000m      
 
McKEEGAN - Rider D. Ballard was fined the sum of $100 for accepting ride when overweight. AR190(3).  Jumped awkwardly bumping with another runner. Raced wide for the majority.

VIAHEL - Hung out rounding the home turn. Trainer S. Royes was advised a warning would be placed on the mare’s racing manners.
 
GOTTA MINUTE - Raced wide for the majority.
 
PRINCIPLE – Performed below market expectations. Rider K. Ballard advised the mare had raced ungenerously throughout.
 
Race 2. McKINLAY SHIRE COUNCIL BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP 1100m  
 
TEXT ME -  Rider A. Spradau was fined the sum of $100 for accepting ride when overweight. AR190(3). Raced wide for the majority. 

CLARION – Slow to begin. Raced wide rounding the home turn.  Trainer D. Ballard advised it is now the intention to spell the gelding.
 
AYLA’S ANGEL – Began awkwardly.    
 
CAPTAIN’S PICK – Raced wide for the majority.
 
LADY CHICAGO – Raced wide rounding the 800m turn.    
 
MAHONEY – Hung out rounding the 800m turn and then raced wide for the remainder. 
 

Race 3. SN GABBERT CONSTRUCTIONS BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP 1100m
 
ORTEGA LANE - Rider A. Spradau was fined the sum of $100 for accepting ride when overweight. AR190(3). Tightened for room rounding the 800m turn.                        
 
LOVE ME RUBY – Slow to begin. Raced very wide rounding the home turn.

STRYKINGLY SO –Raced wide for the majority.
 
DUTCH TWIST - Raced wide for the majority.
 
SHORT TERM - Raced wide rounding the home turn.
 
MEXICAN YELL – Fractious in the barrier. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a laceration to the mouth.
 
Following the running of this race Rider T. Brummell who rode NITRO CITY advised that on entering the barriers his left knee had struck the dividing partition and was causing him some discomfort, but was fit to continue. He advised he required no treatment from QAS officers.
 
Race 4. COREY GILBY MEMORIAL/BOOTH PASTORAL BENCHMARK 69 HANDICAP.  
1100m  
 
ENCORONADA – Began awkwardly. Raced wide rounding the 800m turn.
 
SLITHERING SUZIE - Raced wide for the majority.
 
CLATEAU – Raced wide rounding the 800m turn. 
 
READY ZAIM FIRE - Raced wide for the majority. Near the 600 metres shifted in marginally crowding another runner. Rider N. Nelson was advised to exercise more care. 
 
WORLD OF PAIN – Was inconvenienced when crowded by another runner near the 600m.
 
Race 5. TOWNSVILLE EARTHMOVING OPEN HANDICAP 1350m  
 
FAST SUN – Began awkwardly. Raced very wide rounding the home turn. 
 
PRINCE OF BARODA – Raced wide rounding the 800m turn.
 
KAPSET - Raced wide rounding the 800m turn.
 
Race 6. JOHNSONS GRADER HIRE/AUZSCOT CONSTRUCTIONS RATING 0 – 60 HANDICAP 1350m
 
NITRO CITY – Dual acceptor. Competed in Race 3. Late scratching from this race at 12.30pm by order of Stewards.  Trainer S. Royes was fined the sum of $100 for failure to scratch by the prescribed time. LR36(6).
 
NICCONI PASQUALE – Was a late scratching at 3.30pm when no suitable rider was available.
 
ROCK TSAR – Began awkwardly losing ground. Raced wide for the majority.
 
MAKATITI (NZ) - Began awkwardly. Unable to muster pace in the early stages.  
 
RAPTOR – Raced wide rounding the 800m turn.
 
BLUE MONTE -   Raced wide rounding the 800m turn.
