Due to predicted sultry weather conditions, this race meeting was conducted within the Queensland Racing Integrity Commission Caring for Racing Animals In Extreme Heat Policy.
Stewards accepted the following overweights.
Race 1-D Ballard +1/2kg
Following the running of race 1,Due to the extreme heat the following riders were permitted to ride overweight.

ADASHAN – Raced wide rounding home turn,
DACXI BUBBLES – Began awkwardly, Slow into stride,
COLONEL VON TRAPP – Raced wide middle stages and rounding home turn.
BETHEHORSE – Race wide early stages.
PINK HOUSE – Slow into stride, raced wide majority.
MISS MILDRED – Raced wide majority.
GULF OF AQABA – Race wide majority.
Race 2: KATHY PARRY / PARRY PASTROAL MEMORIAL Class B Handicap (1100m)
Correct weight was delayed allowing connections of 3rd place getter MA BELLA ROSIE to view the photo finish, once satisfied, correct weight was declared on the Judge’s semaphored numbers.
POSITIVE REWARD – Bumped with another runner at the start.
MISS BOUCHARD – Bumped on jumping, Slow into stride. Raced wide middle stages and rounding home turn.
CANELANDER – Lost an off fore plate in running.
DON’TSTOPLAUGHING – Slow to begin.
SINGLE MALT – Raced wide majority.
LE BERNADIN – Raced wide majority.
Race 3 : DROVERS DOG HOTEL / FITCHETT CONTRACTING BENCHMARK 65 Handicap (1100m)
RUSTY ROSE – Lost its off fore plate in running,
BRIDEZILLA – Began very awkwardly throwing it head in the air and losing ground, raced ungenerously throughout trailing the field. Trainer Mrs T Parry was advised a warning would be placed on the mare’s racing manners.
FINALLY REALISE – Slow to begin, hampered soon after the start.
TACTICAL ILLUSION – Blundered on jumping, hampered by STAR MIDFIELDER soon after the start. Raced wide majority.
STAR MIDFIELDER – Began awkwardly shifting in on jumping hampering TACTICAL ILLUSION.
COUNT MICHELIN - Raced wide for the majority.
Race 4: FELSIES MOBILE WORKSHOP BENCHMARK 50 Handicap (1350m)
VALIANT KNIGHT – Bumped at the start, a post -race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the near fore hoof, Trainer Ms S. Royes was advised a veterinary certificate would be required prior to next start.
CRAIGLEA ALTONA – Shifted in on jumping bumping another runner. Lost off fore plate in running.
BONAUGURA – Slow into stride, raced wide the majority and then resented the kickback in running. After performing below market expectations, a post -race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities, Trainer J. Morris was advised to advise Stewards should anything which may have had a bearing on today’s performance become apparent in coming days.
IRON MASK – Raced wide majority.
SIZZLESUN – Began awkwardly. Rider lost her whip at the winning post.
ORCUS – Jumped out at the start bumping REAL EMPRESS.
REAL EMPRESS – Was bumped at the start by another runner.
AMBER ONE – Slow into stride, Raced wide majority.

ANCIENT ECHOES – Raced wide rounding home turn.
SHARPAY RULER – Crowed on jumping, race wide for the majority of the event.
LE FORCE – Shifted in on jumping inconveniencing runners to its inside.
JABALI GOLD – Began awkwardly throwing its head in the air on jumping, raced wide for the majority.
