RACE 1: BILL SULLIVAN MAIDEN PLATE – 1000m
 
RETURN FLIGHT – Slow to muster speed.

RACE 2: DALBY BUSINESS HOUSES QTIS BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP  - 1000M
 
The declaration of correct weight was delayed slightly to allow jockey G. Steele, rider of 3rd placegetter VICTORY LASS the opportunity to view he stewards’ patrol footage over the concluding stages to ascertain whether there were grounds to lodge an objection against 2nd placegetter THIS IS LIVIN’. After viewing the film, she indicated that she did not wish to proceed.
 
MOWER - The veterinary surgeon reported post-race that the gelding had bled from both nostrils. Trainer B. Murray was advised that the horse would be ineligible to race for 3 months and that prior to its next start must gallop satisfactorily over 1000m in the presence of a steward.
 
SECRET DRAGON – Tightened for room at the start, losing ground.
 
AVASA – Tightened for room at the start, blundered and lost ground. Raced wide throughout. Post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
 
NOURISHING – Began very awkwardly.
CLOSE ENOUGH – Raced wide throughout.
 
GALAXIES – Raced wide throughout.
 
FIRST BID - Raced wide throughout.
 
 
RACE 3: JANDOWAE MEMORIAL BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP – 1200M
 
STAR PAINTER – Began awkwardly. Raced wide throughout. Lost near side front plate in running. Apprentice S. Sweeney explained that the mare didn’t handle the track and was coming to the end of its preparation. Trainer P. McEwan agreed with the comments made. He added that the mare would now be sent for a spell and would report to stewards in coming days if anything become apparent.
 
QUATTRO FANTASTICO – Tightened for room at the start. Tightened for room and had to be steadied near the 400m.
 
APPLAUSE A STAR – Began awkwardly.
 
GRAND EDGEROI – Raced wide throughout.
 
GOLFING – Raced wide throughout.
 
RACE 4: JANDOWAE CUP BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP - 1500M
 
GUD ONYA – Raced wide throughout.
 
MICKEY DAZZLER – Slow to begin. Steadied from heels near the 1400m.
 
HENRY’S ON COURSE –  Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout.
 
MURPHY’S HUSTLER – Apprentice D. Graham explained that the gelding travelled well early and middle stages until placed under pressure failed to respond to her riding. She added that in her opinion the gelding did not handle the track.
 
TORONTO FLYER -  Apprentice H. English explained that the gelding travelled well early and middles stages however when placed under pressure failed to respond to her riding. She added that in her opinion the gelding did not handle the track.
 
 
RACE 5: JANDOWAE BUSINESS HOUSES & TRAINERS TROPHY CLASS B HANDICAP – 1500M
 
BOLD TEMPTATION – Began awkwardly, tightened for room shortly after and lost ground.
 
HAY LIFE – Raced wide throughout.
 
GOLD CROWN – Slow to begin.
 
BOWIES BAYCONI – Raced wide throughout.
 
ISLAND SUNSET – Slow to begin.
 
SHADOW EMPIRE – Hung out after the winning post. Trainer P. Kalinowski was advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding.
