Racing Queensland officials advised that a decision on this matter will be determined over the coming days. Due to other ambulances being required and the nature of the injuries to horses and riders there was indefinite delay for the final race. Prior to the replacement ambulance arriving on course Stewards inspected the section of the track where the horses fell and deemed it safe for racing to continue. Stewards also gave all riders in the last race the opportunity to state whether they were comfortable to take their mounts in the last race due to the emotional impact the fall may have had on them.
