Race 1: Kilcoy BP Driveway Class 1 H’cap – 1500m
 
CELESTIAL GREY – Jumped away awkwardly.
 
VICTORY IS MINE – Blundered shortly after the crossing near the 1200m.
 
RED CHILL – Tired noticeably over the final 500m of the event. Stable representative advised stewards that today’s poor performance may be attributed to the rise in distance of today’s event, and also noted that the mare may be sent for a spell.
 
CARTAGENA – Held up for clear running between the 400m and the 200m.
 
 
Race 2: Kilcoy Exchange Hotel Class 3 Plate – 1060m
 
OH BOY -  Which was a late arrival on course, was examined by the veterinary surgeon and cleared to start.  Was brushed by another runner prior to the 900m turn and made the corner awkwardly.
 
MOLLY MYAKO – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination shortly after loading and was passed fit to start.
 
 
 
Race 3: Carlton-Mid Dick Ferling Maiden Cup H’cap – 1060m
 
DREAM CAPTAIN – As B. Appo was indisposed, S. Lacy was substituted as the rider of the horse. Slow to begin.
 
SONADOR CELLAR – Slow to begin.
 
RED FACETS – Severely checked at the 800m.
 
MISS DRUMBEATS – Checked at the 800m.
 
LOST SYMPHONY – Crowded for room at the 800m.
 
LUCKY LARRIKIN – Crowded for room at the 800m.
 
BRAVADO MISS – Jockey M. Cox pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under AR137(a) in that leaving the 900m she allowed BRAVADO MISS  to shift from a position wider on the track when not sufficiently clear of LUCKY LARRIKIN,  which resulted in that runner being crowded for room, and further interference caused to MISS DRUMBEATS, LOST SYMPHONY.  RED FACETS was also severely checked and lost considerable ground.  After hearing submissions on penalty, MISS COX’s licence to ride  in races was suspended for a period of 16 days, to commence at midnight, 26 January and to expire at midnight, 11 February.
 
BENOVSKY – Nearing the 400m made contact with the running rail and faltered.
 
 
Race 4: Somerset Regional Council Benchmark 55 H’cap – 800m
 
HOPETOUN STREET – Trainer G. Richardson was fined $100 for failing to declare a rider  within the prescribed time.
 
GOOD GRACIOUS MAE – Slow to begin. Near the 500m raced greenly and contacted the rail when racing tightly between runners.  Then shifted out, contacting the heels of another runner.
 
JEWEL DU ROUGE – Tightened shortly after jumping.
 
SET WAIT – Nearing the home turn raced greenly between runners, and shifted ground noticeably.
 
SILVER GUNS – Shifted out near the 500m when placed in restricted room.
 
JEPTOO – Bumped by another runner near the 500m.
 
 
 
 
 
Race 5:  Butler McDermott Lawyers Australia Day Cup Benchmark 58 H’cap – 1900m
 
RUSTY SCOOTER – As N. Seymour was under suspension, R. Williams was substituted as the rider of the horse.
 
MURPHY’S HUSTLER – Began awkwardly.
 
LITTLE MISS MONACO – Began awkwardly. Jockey L. Tilley reported at scale his mount had a tendency to lay in throughout the event.
 
BRUMBY JACK – Tightened shortly after jumping. Cast an off hind plate in running.
 
JERROCITY – Slow to begin.
 
 
Race 6: Kilcoy Pastoral Company Benchmark 55 H’cap – 1200m
 
HOT TALK – Slow to begin.  Apprentice N. Keal lost his iron on jumping, placing him at a disadvantage in the early stages.
 
CAN HE RAP – Jumped away awkwardly. Held up for clear running from the home turn until the fining line.
 
CEDEE PRINCE – Blundered on jumping away, unbalancing its rider. Raced wide in the early stages before restraining to the rear.   
 
HANCOCK – Steadied near the 900m.
