Race 1: Thank You Kilcoy Diggers QTIS 2yo Maiden H’cap – 800m
 
CURRY CONNECTION – Began awkwardly and shifted out.
 
AFTER THE STORM – Bumped on jumping away. Inclined in lay in approaching the course proper near the 600m.
 
STRYKING PRINCESS – Bumped on jumping away. Inclined to hang out near the 500m and again shifted out noticeably around the home turn. Connections were advised that a warning would be placed on its racing manners.
 
JUST LIKE RULER – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
PERFECT PAGE – Began awkwardly.
 
BOLD DELAGO – Slow into stride.
 
FALVEY’S SPIRIT – Raced greenly,  shifted in near the 550m, clipping the heels of STRYKING PRINCESS, blundering and losing ground.
 
BETTY IS READY – Hung out under pressure in the run to the finish.
 
ROCK PAPER SIZZLE – Raced wide throughout and forced wider around the home turn.
 
 
 
 
 
 
Race 2: Kilcoy Global Foods Class1 H’cap – 800m
 
AVASA – Began awkwardly.
 
IMABARMAN – Bumped as the start was effected and lost ground.
 
RAZZY – Began awkwardly and shifted in. Hung in approaching the 300m, tightening runners to its inside.
 
ICE PATCH – Inconvenienced by another runner as the start was effected and lost ground.
 
LA RANA TORO – Hampered on jumping away.
 
STORM ANCHOR – Obliged to steady near the 300m when tightened for racing room.
Inclined to hang out rounding the home turn.
 
UPPEMBAK – Obliged to steady from heels near the 300m when tightened to the inside of RAZZY.
 
TEMERITY -  Raced wide throughout. Shifted in marginally near the 300m.
 
 
Race 3: Somerset Regional Council Maiden Plate – 1060m
 
MAADAAK – Slow into stride.
 
TSANI TOPAZ -  Tightened for room on jumping away and lost ground.
 
D’GREAT BEATY – Jumped awkwardly and shifted in.
 
BRAVADO MISS – Proved difficult to load and delayed the start of the race. Connections were advised that a warning would be placed on the mare.  Began awkwardly and shifted out. Jockey M. Cox was reprimanded under AR211(1) for returning to scale .5 of a kilogram overweight. Stewards when  considering the matter noted Miss Cox’s good record regarding breaches of this rule.
 
LOVES WOGER WING – Raced wide in the early stages. Jockey H. English reported her mount was inclined to hang out at various stages.   A post race veterinary examination revealed lacerations to both hind legs consistent with the horse being galloped on, and was also found to have a haematoma on its near-side hip.
 
BUCK’S ME BOY – Approaching the home turn struck heels, dislodging apprentice S. Wilcock.  Apprentice Wilcock was treated by QAS officers before being transported to Caboolture Hospital for further observation. Stewards, after taking  initial evidence from  H. English, rider of LOVES WOGER WING and apprentice M. Nakao, rider of SEVENTY BELOW, adjourned the inquiry to a later date when apprentice Wilcock will be available.  Rider changes were made as per the Stewards Summary Sheet.
 
Race 4: Kilcoy Exchange Hotel Benchmark 65 H’cap – 1060m
 
BEWARE – Began awkwardly. Bumped approaching the home turn when inclined to lay out.
 
TAY SWIFT – Slow into stride.
 
ALASKA – Began moderately before improving. Near the 1000m improved onto the heels of AVALANCHE WARNING when overracing and shifted out.
 
NOOR DROPPER – Began awkwardly, losing ground. Raced wide throughout.
 
NEW ALLIANCE – Began awkwardly. Raced wide throughout.
 
COONOWRIN RUBY – Raced wide in the early stages.
 
RAIN ON ME – Raced wide in the early stages. Hung in over the final 100m of the event and proved difficult to fully test to the line.  
 
HONOUR PROMISE – Hung in approaching the home turn, bumping BEWARE. Hung out under pressure over the final 150m.
 
AVALANCHE WARNING – Tightened for room approaching the home turn and obliged to steady.
 
Race 5: Butler McDermott Lawyers Diggers Cup Benchmark 55 H’cap – 1200m
 
WINSOME SAM – Held up approaching the home turn.
 
THE MONK – Held up approaching the home turn.
 
 
Race 6: Searles Kilcoy Class 2 Plate – 1500m
 
SUPERVISOR – Became agitated in the gates, reared and became cast and was declared a late scratching at 4.37 pm on veterinary advice.
 
Subsequent to the event all monies invested on the  horse were ordered to be refunded, with the following deductions applicable.
 
42 cents in the dollar on the face value of win bets
37 cents in the dollar on the face value of win bets for the place
23 cents in the dollar on the face value of 2nd place bets
 
 
 
Connections were advised that a barrier certificate would be required prior to the gelding resuming.  Apprentice A. Spinks was examined by QAS officers and it was noted he had some lower back discomfort.  Apprentice Spinks was advised he would require a medical clearance prior to resuming race riding.
 
THREE STOOGES – A warning was issued to the connections of the gelding which was reluctant to proceed to the barriers. Then underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to start.
 
SHADOW EMPIRE – Shortly after the start when ridden forward shifted out noticeably. Overraced near the 1300m and steadied from heels.
 
LITTLE MISS MONACO – Slow into stride. Hung significantly throughout the event and proved uncompetitive. A post race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.  Trainer G. Hay advised that the mare would be required to trial to the satisfaction of the stewards prior to returning to racing.
 
STAR FROM HEAVEN – Obliged to steady from heels when tightened for room near the 1200m. Held up for clear running approaching the home turn.
