22 Breath Analysis Tests were conducted on all Jockeys competing at this meeting
 
Jockey S. Bogenhuber, K Yoshida and S Lacy were fined $200 under AR218(4) after being found in possession of a mobile phone in Jockeys’ room.
 
Trainer J. Ferguson  was fined $100 under LR 43 for allowing an unlicsensed stable hand to
assist in saddling CAMBOOYA ROCK.
 
Mr G. Scott was fined $100 under LR7 for assisting in the saddling of CAMBOOYA ROCK when
not the holder of the approriate license

Race 1: Kilcoy Exchange Hotel Celebrate Christmas Maiden Plate – 1200m
 
DE VEGA – Jumped awkwardly and made contact with the barrier partition and was bumped shortly after the start by ARCHIE FINITO. A post race veterinary examination revealed the mare was suffering from heat stress.   
 
ARCHIE FINITO – Jumped awkwardly and bumped between runners shortly after the start. Shifted out at the start and tightened runners to its outside. Approaching the 800m whilst racing very ungenerously became awkward and made contact with the inside running rail and proved difficult to ride out. Trainer P. Sexton was advised that the gelding would be required to trial in presence of a Steward prior to its next race start.  
 
STEP ASIDE – Tightened between runners shortly after the start.  Jockey A. Fancourt was reminded of her obligations to ride her mounts right out to the finish of the face.
 
TWOKATS – Jumped awkwardly and was bumped by another runner. Shortly after the start was steadied when tightened for room between runners and lost ground.
 
FORENSIC AUDITOR – Jumped awkwardly. Laid in under pressure in the straight.
 
STARBEATS – Jumped awkwardly and threw its head in the air.
 
LITTLE ALBERT – Approaching the 600m was steadied from the heels of the weakening ARCHIE FINITO and shifted wider to obtain clear running.
 
UNO EYNO – Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
 
Race 2: Searle Family Happy Christmas To All QTIS 3yo Maiden Plate –
800m
 
JUST LIKE RULER – App M. Savva was replaced when she failed arrive oncourse to fulfil her engagement and was replaced by jockey B. Andrew as the rider and App M Savva was subsequently fined $100 under AR127(1). Tightened between runners shortly after the start and lost ground.
 
LIEUTENANT – Jumped away awkwardly and shifted out, hampering runners to its outside shortly after the start. Hung out throughout and made the home turn awkwardly and proved difficult to ride.  Trainer T. Gollan’s representative was advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding’s racing manners.
 
CURRY CONNECTION - Tightened between runners shortly after the start and lost ground.
 
LEO THE LION – Jumped away awkwardly.  A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities
 
KLAIRESAY – Made the home turn awkwardly. Raced greenly over the concluding stages.
 
KABALEGA – Raced wide without cover.
 
 
Race 3: The Great Northern 2019 Cannonball Series – Final – Benchmark
72 H’cap – 800m
 
BOOT SHAKER – Jumped away awkwardly and shifted out.
 
CAMBOOYA ROCK – Buffeted between runners shortly after the start.
 
GODFATHER’S GIRL – Hampered shortly after the start and lost ground. Raced wide throughout
 
 
Race 4: TAB Class 2 H’cap – 1060m
 
ATOMIC MISSILE – Slow to begin. Held up momentarily rounding the home turn.
 
BLACK JAGUAR – Tightened between runners and lost ground. Improved onto heels approaching the 800m and had to be steadied.  Trainer M. Boland was asked to comment on the performance of the horse. He was unable to comment on the horse’s previous starts, however he has been impressed with the horses work over the last 6 weeks.  Stewards noted the comments.
 
REMLAPS ROCK – Jumped away awkwardly and shifted out shortly after the start. Raced 3 wide without cover throughout. Hung out considerably rounding the home turn A post race veterinary examination revealed a slow post race recovery and was making an abnormal respiratory noise. Trainer W Bannerot was advised that the horse would be required to trial satisfactorily prior to its next start.
 
LAUNDROMAT JOE – Bumped by another runner shortly after the start.
 
QUART POT – Approaching the 800m had to be steadied when placed in restricted room between REMLAPS ROCK and ANGELS OF FENWAY.
 
MISS DEFIANCE - Raced wide throughout.
 
BEWARE – Raced 4 wide without cover for the majority of the race.
 
 
Race 5: Tattersalls Racing Club Kilcoy Christmas Cup Benchmark 55 H’cap
 – 1900m
 
SURGICAL – Slow to begin.
 
MACMISSILE – Approaching the 1600m commenced to overrace whilst being restrained, and continued to do so until passing the 1300m.
 
PERSISTENT SHADOW – Jockey Gates reported she was concerned with the mare’s action during the event.  A post race veterinary examination revealed the horse was lame in the off foreleg. Trainer L. Wanless was advised that a veterinary clearance must be provided prior to its next race start.
 
MORNING FARE – Leaving the 600m shifted out and made contact with SHE SALUTES.
 
SHE SALUTES – Bumped by another runner leaving the 600m.
 
 
Race 6: Butler McDermott Lawyers Christmas Gift Benchmark 55 H’cap –
1200m
 
Correct was delayed to allow a number of riders, to view the footage over the concluding stages to ascertain whether they had grounds to protest. After viewing the Stewards footage all riders declined to proceed and correct weight was given on the judges placings.
 
FORT MYER – Inconvenienced shortly after the start. Jockey G. Geran, rider of HONOUR PROMISE, was found guilty of a charge of careless riding in that he allowed his mount to shift out under pressure, taking ALLE VONGOLE out onto FORT MYER, resulting in that horse having to be checked severely between ALLE VONGOLE and SOLID ASSET.  Jockey Geran was suspended from riding in races for a period of 12 days, to commence at midnight, 7 December and to expire at midnight, 19 December.  Leaving the 1000m commenced to overrace whilst being restrained for a short distance and had to be checked from the heels of HONOUR PROMISE.
 
ALLE VONGOLE – Shifted out shortly after the start, hampering runners to the outside. Near the 250m had to be steadied when placed in restricted room. Over the concluding stages was inconvenienced and forced wider.
 
SOLID ASSET – Over the concluding stages was bumped and inconvenienced.
 
THE LAST SEQUALO – Inconvenienced shortly after the start. Leaving the 1000m had to be steadied when placed in restricted room and whilst being  steadied commenced to hang out and was checked from heels.
 
GRENACHE – Hampered shortly after the start and lost ground.
 
ALLE ELLIE – Hampered between runners and lost ground at the start.
 
DRUM MASTER – Shifted in slightly after the start, inconveniencing runners to the inside.  Approaching the 1000m had to be steadied when placed in restricted room between FORT MYER and CHOCOLATE OREO.  Approaching the 800m improved onto the heels of HONOUR PROMISE  and shifted out, making contact with CHOCOLATE OREO, shifting that horse wider on the track.
 
CHOCOLATE OREO – Jumped awkwardly and shifted out shortly after the start.  Approaching the 800m shifted wider on the track by DRUM MASTER and had to be steadied as a result and raced wide for the remainder
 
HARRY’S STAR – Raced 3 wide without cover.
 
SLY GRIN – Raced wide throughout.
 
RAINBOW SPIRIT– Raced wide throughout.
