Race 1: KILCOY NEW YEAR CUP 4TH JANUARY MAIDEN H’CAP – 1060M
 
DEL RIO – After arriving on course late due to transport difficulties, the horse was inspected by the veterinary surgeon and cleared to race. Jumped awkwardly, shifted out and hampered IN ANY CASE. Hung out throughout and proved difficult to ride. Trainer B. Gorman advised that the horse returned to the enclosure with its tongue over the bit. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Mr Gorman was advised that the mare must trial satisfactorily prior to racing again.
 
IN ANY CASE – Jumped awkwardly, made contact with the barrier partition, hampered by another runner and lost ground. Disappointed for a run approaching the 150m and shifted out to obtain clear running. Rider A. Fancourt reported that after receiving a heavy bump at the start the mare failed to respond and proved disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
 
COALBANK CAVALRY – After starting moderately from a wide barrier, raced wide in the early stages before obtaining a position with cover approaching the 700m.
 
LITTLE ALBERT – Improved on to the heels of JUST LIKE RULER approaching the 600m and had to be steadied.
 
Race 2: TAB QTIS 3YO MAIDEN H’CAP – 800M
 
BOBBYBOUCHE – Put in an awkward stride approaching the 700m. Raced greenly throughout.
 
BAM’S ROSE – Slow to begin.
 
FOXAAR – Raced in restricted room approaching the 400m when BOBBYBOUCHE shifted in momentarily. Apprentice S. Wilcock, the rider of BOBBYBOUCHE, was reminded of her obligations when her mounts shift ground.
 
MISS CRUISEY – Raced three wide with cover.
 
OLIVIALEX – After arriving on course late, the horse was inspected by the veterinary surgeon and cleared to race. Shifted out abruptly shortly after the start. Raced greenly throughout.
 
AFTER THE STORM – Raced three wide without cover.
 
LOVE FLIES – Raced wide with cover.
 
Race 3: BUTLER MCDERMOTT LAWYERS CLASS 3 H’CAP – 1900M
 
SOARING HEART – Began awkwardly. Bumped on a number of occasions near the 300m when FURY OF THE STORM laid in.
 
GROOVY PLAYMATE – Had to be steadied near the 800m when placed in restricted room to the inside of CORSINI, which was taken in momentarily  by SURGICAL.
 
SURGICAL – Bumped on jumping, slow to begin and lost ground. Threw its head in the air shortly after the start and overraced for a short distance. Raced keenly leaving the 1500m, shifted wider and raced three wide for the remainder of the event.
 
AHMAH STAR – Bumped on jumping and was slow to begin. Commenced to overrace approaching the winning post on the first occasion, shifted wider to avoid heels and raced three wide with cover for the remainder of the event.
 
KIRA’S BEAT – As S. Bogenhuber was unable to fulfil her engagement due to late arrival on course, A. Fancourt was substituted as rider. Jockey Bogenhuber was reprimanded under AR127. In determining penalty, stewards were mindful that this was the first occasion on which jockey Bogenhuber had infringed this rule. Jumped awkwardly.
 
YOUL BEATEM – Raced wide in the early stages.
 
FURY OF THE STORM – Made heavy contact with the running rail for a short distance approaching the 1700m. Laid in on to SOARING HEART near the 300m, making contact with that runner on a number of occasions.
 
Race 4: SEARLE GARDEN PRODUCTS CLASS 2 H’CAP – 1500M
 
ROYAL WARFARE -  Jumped awkwardly and bumped MSHINIDI, resulting in runners to the outside being hampered. Made the crossing near the 1200m awkwardly, shifted out and raced four wide until ridden forward to race outside the leader approaching the 1100m and then raced wide throughout.
 
SUNNY ST CLOUD – Forced wider by ACCOUNTANT after passing the crossing near the 1200m after which the rider elected to restrain to obtain cover approaching the 1100m.
 
AMERICAN SUMMER – Raced three wide throughout.
 
ACCOUNTANT – Bumped by another runner shortly after the start. Made the crossing near the 1200m awkwardly and shifted out, forcing SUNNY ST CLOUD wider.
 
MSHINIDI – Bumped on jumping and shifted out.
 
BONSEA – Buffeted between runners passing the winning post on the first occasion.
 
STELLAR JEWEL – Tightened between runners shortly after the start and lost ground.
 
Race 5: YULETIDE FESTIVAL OF RACING & PACING F&M RATINGS BAND 0 – 55 H’CAP – 1200M
 
MIRACLE STAR – Slow to begin.
 
NASTY GAL – Bumped with APPLAUSE A STAR on jumping. Had to be steadied leaving the 800m after improving on to the heels of UNO EYNO whilst racing keenly.
 
UNO EYNO – Made the home turn awkwardly.
 
APPLAUSE A STAR – Bumped with NASTY GAL on jumping. Raced three wide without cover throughout. Laid in under pressure approaching the 200m, inconveniencing another runner.
 
TSANI TOPAZ – As P. Randall was unable to fulfil his engagement due to transport difficulties, K. Yoshida was substituted as rider.
 
JESSINA – Inconvenienced approaching the 200m  by APPLAUSE A STAR, which shifted in to obtain clear running.
 
STORMBORN ANGEL – Slow to begin.
 
Race 6: KILCOY EXCHANGE HOTEL C,G&E RATINGS  BAND  0 – 55 H’CAP – 1200M
 
The declaration of correct weight was delayed to allow S. Lacy (BLACK ENVY) to view the photo finish image.
 
DRIFTER – Stewards will interview trainer S. Strazzieri regarding the riding tactics adopted on the horse.
 
THE HOOLIGAN – Raced three wide with cover.
 
GENG – Jumped awkwardly and bumped the hind quarters of NINE CIGARS shortly after the start. Raced three wide without cover throughout. Bumped with NINE CIGARS on a number of occasions over the concluding stages
 
KENTFORD – Jumped awkwardly, resulting in runners to the outside being hampered.
 
NINE CIGARS – Tightened between runners upon jumping. Checked when attempting to take a tight run near the 400m between DER SIEGER and BLACK ENVY, which momentarily shifted in under pressure. S. Lacy, the rider of BLACK ENVY, was reminded of her obligations when her mounts shift ground and R. Faehr was also reminded of his obligations when attempting runs where there is doubtful room. Bumped with GENG on a number of occasions over the concluding stages.
 
DER SIEGER – Placed in restricted room approaching the 800m and had to be steadied when DONT CHEAT CHARLIE shifted in momentarily.
 
MONT MONT – Raced three wide with cover.
 
ATOMIC MISSILE – Tightened between runners shortly after the start and lost ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings other than minor abrasions on the off hind leg.
 
TIN’S POCKET – Slow to begin. Had to be steadied away from the heels of DER SIEGER approaching the 800m.
 
Race 7: THANKS TATTERSALLS RACING CLUB CLASS 1 H’CAP – 1060M
 
The declaration of correct weight was delayed to allow stewards to view the patrol footage of the start.
 
BACKUP BILLY – Blundered on jumping and lost ground.
 
LEICA FIRECRACKER – Raced four wide with cover throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the horse had heat stress.
 
MORION – Jumped away awkwardly. Raced four wide without cover.
 
RUBY LIL – Tightened between runners shortly after the start. Had to be checked near the 800m when tightened for room between SECLUDE, which shifted out making the turn, and MORION, which got its head up and raced ungenerously, shifting in away from MY HAPPY PLACE.
 
MY HAPPY PLACE – Jumped awkwardly and shifted out. Raced four wide throughout with cover.
 
FORGOTTEN FEELING – Jumped awkwardly, hampering RUBY LIL. Had to be checked near the 800m when tightened for room between SECLUDE, which shifted out making the turn, and MORION, which got its head up and raced ungenerously, shifting in away from MY HAPPY PLACE.
 
INSTANTANEOUS – Trainer J. Dunn was fined $100 for the late declaration of S. Bogenhuber as rider. Hung out approaching the 700m and whilst continuing to hang out, near the 300m had to be steadied to avoid the heels of RUBY LIL.
